  1. I could. As long as the game is part of the canon it should be judged. Sure it's a smartphone title, but the gameplay isn't that good compared to others in the series. A lot of aspects regarding AP, medals and jewels frustrate me when I play it. Not to mention the story isn't presented at a decent pace. All I could think when watching the latest trailer for 2.8 was "wow Back Cover looks good, no idea what the heck is going on though". The x[chi] storyline as whole is unnecessarily broken between 3 titles and for the first time while following the Kingdom Hearts series I can safely say that it has made the aspects of the plot convoluted. I know a lot of people enjoy Kingdom Hearts Unchained x, particularly on this site, but as someone who is largely interested in the franchise's story I find x[chi]'s method of storytelling is poor. I'm willing to continue playing the game, but I find it's more of a drag to play compared to other titles in the series.
  2. I'm glad they confirmed it at least, but to be honest, after playing the US version it's a pretty weak Kingdom Hearts title. Should there be any issues with transferring saves to the European version? I mean as long as I have it connected to my Facebook it should be ok to uninstall the US version and get the European one when it comes out, right?
  3. If that last part turns out to be true then that would be truly heartbreaking. Poor Aqua :l
  4. That trailer was something else. I was hyped before but damn December why are you so far away? D:
  5. With Final Fantasy XV in September and both Dragon Quest Builders and World of Final Fantasy in October, I'll be surprised if the game comes out around that time. It all depends if Japan are going to get a couple of weeks head start like with all the other KH games. They also have NieR Automata undated for 2016, but that's a more niche title even if Platinum Games are on it. I really get the feeling it'll be a December release. If it's November then even better.
  6. That's great for everyone who is looking forward to the game! Never tried Persona myself, but I'd be willing to give Persona 5 a shot if Atlus learns how to find Europe on a map.
  7. I really really really love the art style they've gone with. The game looks so good.
  8. Square Enix have confirmed their upcoming RPG, World of Final Fantasy, is coming to PS4 and Vita on 25th October in NA, 27th October in Japan and 28th October in Europe. The synopsis reads More information from Famitsu: Pre-orders for the Day One Edition will include a Sephiroth (FF7) summon to aid the players in battle. English trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4Gz7BislTw Source: (1) , (2) Anybody else excited for this game? I really like the look of it, but that 100 hour long story and very little time to play has me worried that I won't get the time to play it all, especially with Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and NieR: Automata very much on my radar for 2016 :l
  9. I wasn't surprised by the delay either to be honest. Sony's flagship holiday game has to be The Last Guardian now. Horizon does look really really good visually and here's hoping that open world of theirs has some fun things to do in it. It's definitely nice to see Guerrilla do something that isn't Killzone and so far Horizon looks like it will definitely live up to the hype.
  10. I'm worried their conference will have a heavy focus on VR, something that simply doesn't interest me. I'm hoping for some really cool announcements though!
  11. Sony have announced that Horizon: Zero Dawn is coming to PS4 on 28th February in NA, 1st March in Europe and 3rd March in the UK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4-FCsiF5x4 Both a Limited Edition and Collector's Edition have also been announced for Europe. I'm still a bit unsure if it'd be the type of game I'd play, but I can't deny that the game looks visually stunning.
  12. Vaan? Seriously though, tough choice. Of the list I voted Terra and Zidane. I like Noctis so far, but as Final Fantasy XV isn't out yet I have no way to determine if he's actually a good character. Also chucking my avatar from XIV into my vote, I loved being able to create a character of my own and play through a FF story.
  13. My only guess is that Square Enix didn't want it to get lost amongst the other E3 news next week. It makes sense for titles like Final Fantasy VII Remake to be held back because that has a much more significant hype behind it. XII is a bit more on the so-so scale among fans. Better to announce it now I guess if it means they announce other stuff at E3. I loved XII and I'm really happy that Square Enix are remastering it. The remaster is also of the international version and I've been reading that a lot of people prefer the tweaks to the battle system so that's good I guess. Definitely gives people a reason to try the game if they haven't already that's for sure Definitely agree there! I find it very underrated that's for sure. It's been years since I've played the game so hopefully the remaster is good.
  14. 0.2 without a doubt. I get some Aqua and that is enough for me. I'm not going to dismiss the entire collection, but I've played Dream Drop Distance and I'm incredibly so-so on the story of x.
  15. 2013 was more memorable, but the trailer last year was great. Tough choice to be honest.
  16. Square Enix have announced that Final Fantasy XII is getting remastered for PS4 and will be released worldwide in 2017. The game will be a remaster of the Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job System which was originally exclusive to Japan in 2007. The remaster will feature: visual improvements to backgrounds, character models, and fonts Sound improvements including 7.1 surround sound, high-quality voice support, dual-audio for both English and Japanese voices, and you can also switch between the original music and the newly recorded OST Shorter load times, auto-save, improved speed mode, overlaid map, and more Trophy support Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XOKqSDqSNs No word on any other platforms, but Square Enix have been porting a number of their titles to PC recently so there's probably a good chance Final Fantasy XII will go to PC eventually down the line. 17. Moon so far. That could change later on though I guess.
  18. Oh Warcraft... How my opinion of you is so mixed. I really wanted you to be great and sure the nostalgia was there, but... :l
  19. I don't particularly think Birth by Sleep is the greatest game ever made or anything, but I do feel a number of his points are nitpicking. He spends too much time rambling on certain points as well. I never quite agree with anyone who tries to compare anything from Chain of Memories onwards to the original Kingdom Hearts. A lot of people seem to agree that the first KH is well grounded. Solid story, solid gameplay, and overall solid experience. It has an easy story because why make something you are unsure will even be a success complicated? Everything after the first KH is asking questions and setting up future games, sure there are contradictions along the way, but what can you do. Gameplay wise, I find Kingdom Hearts to have rather clunky controls and an awful camera compared to some of the later titles. That's just me though.
  20. Absolutely not. There are so many games I'm looking forward to seeing. Also excited to see what games we don't know of yet!
  21. Nope. Nintendo are completely out of touch with its fanbase. If they have anything then it'll probably be in the form of a Direct, whether that's before or after E3 it's hard to say. I'll be largely ignoring Nintendo this E3 because Zelda doesn't interest me. Nintendo won't have anything except Zelda, so I will have everything except Nintendo at E3.
