  1. The only DLC I'd like is something along the lines of what Final Mix versions add. Maybe a year or so after release when Kingdom Hearts III Final Mix (we know it's gonna happen) gets announced, instead of excluding everyone outside of Japan like the original releases did then maybe make it available as a DLC - upgrade of sorts for people.
  2. Why do you feel it is overrated? If the beta was any indication, then it's a solid game, it deserves the praise it is getting.
  3. The only thing I remember from Mortal Kombat was that stupidly catchy tune from it. Was Doom the one with The Rock?
  4. The cost on console (it's €70 here in Ireland on PS4) is the reason I'm not picking it up at launch. The Origins Edition seems like an excuse to charge "normal" console prices instead of the $40 it is on PC. I honestly think that the game is fairly priced on PC and if I wasn't dropping €120 on the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition this Friday then I'd have definitely spent the €45 on the PC version of Overwatch. I liked Overwatch and I really like all the cinematics and story stuff they are doing, but the modes available just aren't enough to entice me to spend upwards of €70 for the game on PS4. The game is fun and no doubt Blizzard will support it for a long time like all of their games so I look forward to seeing how the game fairs towards the end of the year, I might pick it up at Christmas when it's cheaper.
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_9M-ctbxbA It's coming to smartphones this summer. It's been a big hit in Japan with over 6 million downloads, so Square Enix are hoping to see some success in the west. It's free, but I'll remain sceptical.
  6. Yeah, but neither Tron or Wreck It Ralph are based on video games. That Fix it Felix Jr. game was part of marketing for the film. Both films used video games as a basic plot device, but they are not video game adaptations or anything. They are still good films though. Especially Wreck It Ralph, it works on so many levels.
  7. I'm currently playing through Birth by Sleep Final Mix and I just cleared Aqua's story. Now I'm on Terra's and it's a drag because I don't like his play style. My question is simple really. Who was your favourite character to play as, and why? Personally I like Aqua the most. She's tough at the start, but once you start getting some decent commands she's really fun to play as. I also like her character the most of the three so that definitely helped me enjoy her side of the story more.
  8. I think the expectations of others might ruin the game for me. Some think the game will be the game of all games, when realistically that's not going to be the case. The last thing I want is fans giving me grief if I appreciate the game for what it is when they couldn't even be bothered to keep up with the series after KH2.
  9. Kissanime is working my end. Kisscartoon however won't load. Probably just maintenance.
  10. I watched the film a few weeks back on Netflix. Oh man so good. I loved Recess when I was a kid.
  11. You should watch Advent Children again. The pretty CGI and action scenes must have distracted you from the abysmal narrative. Tron wasn't based on a game. There was a game in the movie called Tron iirc. The movie was basically Jeff Bridges getting transported into a computer. The original movie doesn't hold up well nowadays, but the animation was groundbreaking at the time. Its sequel, Tron Legacy, is polarizing to some. I personally think it's a good film though even if it has its flaws.
  12. You know I always thought both Fire Emblem (in the CGI from Awakening and Fates) and Kid Icarus have great potential to be made into an anime series. Metroid would also be really cool on the big screen. Though I don't think 3D animated films are the way to go for some of their IPs. Knowing Nintendo though they wouldn't take the risk with promising IPs, as Mario and Zelda are easily the most recognisable brands in terms of marketing. A 3D animated Mario movie could work, but if those old rumours of Sony Pictures being lined up for a Mario movie then colour me disinterested already. As for Zelda, I'm not sure. I think a few games from Nintendo's backlog are definitely worthy of adaptations though, like Earthbound or something, but they'd never take the risk or listen to fans.
  13. I do nothing with them. My handhelds are around on one shelf or another (GBA, PSP, DSi... lol and my Vita). I still use my PS3 as I have a backlog so that's still plugged in. My PS2 is gathering dust however. I'm not one to simply give up my consoles as I'd rather keep onto them.
  14. If the Wii U had been a bigger success I'm sure Gamecube games would've been on there. More than like would've sat between the $10 N64 games and the $20 Wii games, at $15 on the VC knowing Nintendo.
  15. That's definitely another issue I have with him. I don't understand what his problem is with games having a story.
  16. Hard to say, speaking strictly from the Disney properties I think they were all fairly equal. I picked up 3 figures from 1.0, 2 from 2.0, and 2 from 3.0. The issue with the Disney properties were that there weren't enough of the older more classic characters. As for Marvel and Star Wars, I felt Star Wars was handled better than Marvel, but that could be because Marvel was given more time to pump out more characters. 81% of Kingdom Hearts fans don't play anything besides Kingdom Hearts.
  17. I have been thinking this for some time myself. For everything right Miyamoto does I feel, at least over the last few years, he has done two things wrong. While I am sure he isn't the sole reason why some series have been pretty much left for dead he definitely is a reason. Not mentioned in the video above (but mentioned in the comments) is that Miyamoto refuses to work on a new F-Zero game because he doesn't have the gimmicky controller to attach to it. That's his problem I feel. He's a person who likes to be innovative with his gameplay and that's perfectly fine, but he is doesn't see the bigger picture I feel. He's always looking towards the next gimmick he can try for new gameplay rather than (as the video mentions) giving us something old that we like with a new gloss of paint. I haven't played Star Fox Zero, but from what I've read the control scheme is incredibly hit/miss for people. Which is an issue. Nintendo have talented teams, but it's aggravating that Miyamoto still has as big of a say as he does. I feel he should stick to a team of his own and not bother the creativity of others.
  18. I'm sure it'll have more famous faces than Unity that's for sure.
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfJVoF5ko1Y&feature=youtu.be Not really a fan of the video games, but Kanye really makes this trailer. And by makes it I mean makes it terrible.
  20. Honestly it was such a shame. Say what you will about the toys to life model or the games themselves, but as a Disney fan it was a great way to get figures of your favourite characters. Honestly it's very similar to amiibo for me. The figures are a good reason as to why I am upset. I would've loved a Goofy figure to sit next to Donald Duck and both iterations of Mickey Mouse. I would've loved to have seen a Genie, Robin Hood, or [insert endless list here of classic characters] figure. Most importantly, I would've loved to have seen a collaboration with the Kingdom Hearts series outside of an incredibly expensive to obtain Kingdom Key and a stupidly rare Mickey power disc. I really liked Disney Infinity 3.0 and it's fun playing co-op in Toy Box mode. Like just yesterday I got the chance to play online with my 6 year old sister who lives in a different country and we had a blast. It's a game that appealed to all ages and for me that's the most important reason why it's a shame it's shutting down. I'm not sure how long the online will even stay up either which means I probably won't get to experience that online co-op that I enjoyed so much yesterday. From an outside point of view it's incredibly easy to dismiss the game as a cash-grab. While I was dismissive of the first and second game because of the price (only opting to buy figures on their own), I was glad I gave 3.0 a shot. I can't build levels for my life or anything and a lot of the mechanics are overwhelming, but I don't hate the game. It makes the Disney fan in me love jumping around this world full of wonderful easter eggs. It's a shame that Disney couldn't spend more money on trying to expand the game even further. I guess they gotta pump millions into live-action films nobody asked for instead.
  21. Considering the western world scoffs at mobile games more than the Japanese do then I'd say 2 million downloads in NA is pretty good regardless of the English language.
  22. I gotta admit, it honestly looks pretty fun. Luigi decking Sonic was a definite highlight.
  23. Wasn't Froakie the least loved out of Chespin, Fennekin and him when they were first revealed? Naturally Greninja changed all that negative perception. That's mostly why I am reserving judgement on the starters until I see what they will become.
  24. I really don't care as I won't be buying it, but I hope the port is good for the folk interested in it. I've been a little disappointed with some of the classic Final Fantasy games on Steam being ports of poor versions *cough* Final Fantasy VI *cough*, but here's hoping X | X-2 is good. We surely have to be edging closer to a XII Remaster right?....
