Do you collect any Kingdom Hearts Play Arts figures?
I have two real ones in KH2 Sora and Roxas. The third one is Aqua but it hasn't been made yet... But when it has! Oh boy day one.
- Do you think Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 should be re-released on the PS4?

People who try to defend KH HD ReMixes
I never noticed any major issues with either 1.5 or 2.5. My experience with both were absolutely fine, in particular 1.5. Sure there's a few techincal hiccups in KH2FM, but my experience with the other 5 titles were absolutely fine. I'm not gonna defend SE over issues that aren't really relevant to my experience nor am I going to bash the titles as lazy ports because I had perfectly fine time with them. It's a little unfair to say that anyone who defends the games don't have a valid opinion, everyone has different experiences with games.

What Pixar World Should be in Kingdom Hearts III?
Toy Story. I'm a huge fan of a lot of Pixar's work, but the idea of Sora, Donald and Goofy being turned into toys and being a part of that world makes me giddy inside. The fact that Woody and Buzz were in the code for KH2FM and that we have the Buzz ride in KH3 makes me really hope they are definitely giving us a world. Also, ye know how cool the idea of toy heartless would be.

Have you ever played Chain of Memories on the GBA?
Sure have. It's a criminally underrated title in the series. It's also one of the best looking GBA games out there, the sprite work, the music/sound and even the field of view of the battle system are all superb. Funny enough I finally got around to finishing Re:CoM yesterday. While it lacks the charm of the GBA version, the addition of voiced cutscenes are great.

Tai Yasue discusses Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue & Kingdom Hearts III with GamesBeat, KH 2.8 slated for early December
I think that KH3 is on the Xbox One because the higher ups at Square Enix wanted their major releases to be multi-platform. The game was announced before the launch of both platforms, with the PS4 now the out and out clear frontrunner why bother wasting time developing 2.8 for the Xbox One as well? So players don't get confused? The fanbase is already crying that they are confused no matter how much SE gives them remasters of the older titles. Sure it sucks for those who game on the Xbox platform, but when you think of Kingdom Hearts you don't think of Xbox. New user or not. You look at any of the big (Japanese) games coming from Square Enix and only Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III are heading to the Xbox One. I wouldn't say Yasue dodged the question, but rather answered it the best he could as there are no announcements towards the series being on the Xbox. 2.8 aside, the effort that would have to go into the button graphics alone in 1.5 and 2.5 make it a waste of time to port to Xbox if people want to see KH3 any time soon. In short, I think Nomura and his team aren't really fussed about those that play on Xbox. Likewise for Square Enix, they'll no doubt have far higher sale projections for the PS4 version. Unfortunately for those on Xbox, that's just the way it is...

Why is Mini NES a thing?
You know I never understood why people criticise Nintendo for doing nothing but "re-hashing", ignoring your laughable example of saying Metroid, both Mario and Zelda haven't been the exact same since the 80s. They share the same universes and basic premise, but I'd hardly look at Super Mario Galaxy and say "well that's the same game I played on the Gamecube but without that water gun mechanic!". Nintendo can cater to nostalgia because they have arguably the most iconic set of IPs in the video game space, if not the world. Some buy into it, but others don't. The mini-Genesis had such a trashy line-up of games though? It's nothing revolutionary of course, but there's a reason why Nintendo gets that little bit more buzz... The games are better for one thing and let's face it, Nintendo are far more relevant than Sega are nowadays. I haven't seen much praise towards it to be honest, seen lots of people criticise others for liking it though. In relation to the Mini NES though, it's hard to fault Nintendo on this one, sure it's a little barebones, but the sheer amount of great games on it more than justifies the price. Whether it will appeal to the masses is another thing, but if it's a success then I don't see why Nintendo wouldn't continue with another line of mini consoles. You pose a good question though Alpha as to whether it will be related to the NX, does it further signify a return to cartridges? We shall see...

Nintendo announces mini nes
What isn't the appeal of it? It's a good way for people to enjoy 30 NES games at pretty cheap price. It's no different from a plug in play tbh. I personally won't buy the machine, but the NES controller would be really cool to have for my Wii U and at $10 I can hardly complain. It's just something optional for people. Clearly it doesn't appeal to you, but it's hardly a pointless cash grab either.

Issues/Problems with KH2?
What I meant with platforming was just overall exploration. The game was linear, but you could still explore certain areas and while you could get from A to B without doing needing all the growth abilities that doesn't mean they weren't helpful for other aspects of some worlds. When I thought of proper platforming I mostly was thinking of Cavern of Remembrance tbh. The platforming in KH1 was awful and controlling Sora was finicky, kinda reminded me of how he was controlled in Re:coded, but at least the excuse there was you had a D-pad. Sora in KH2 just moves far smoother which makes for better movement in battle and in the world. To be fair I did say "(in certain worlds)" in my original post. 100 Acre Wood has never contributed to the overall plot so it barely warrants a mention. Yeah, but I don't hate the worlds for retelling aspects of their respected source material. Especially considering a large part of the bigger plot was told in places like Twilight Town, Hollow Bastion and The World That Never Was. I dunno each to their own I guess. Hopefully KH3 has a better balance.

Issues/Problems with KH2?
I'm one of the people who genuinely thinks KH2 is better than the first game, but even I realise it has its flaws. It is an easy game compared to the first, but I appreciate that the game is much more fluid than the first. It's been a while since I've played the PS2 version, but I remember really liking it back in the day. Any issues I have with KH2 stem mostly from the remastered version in 2.5. It has inexcusable performance issues which make certain parts pretty frustrating to do (Data Xemnas whyyyyyyyyyy). I know for drive forms you can just pause for it to load faster, but you shouldn't have to do this. Sure it's easy and a lot of the fights rely on spamming X or Reaction Commands, but I think the game plays better than most. It has far better platforming aspects than KH1 does and it definitely doesn't even have a bad story. A lot of the worlds in KH2 did feel somewhat empty though, it didn't have that much interaction with the world like the first KH game and you'll mostly find yourself just bashing through room after room of enemies. However, that kinda has been a case with every Kingdom Hearts games since. I dunno. KH2 is one of the better KH games for me. Every entry has flaws, but I think KH2 is one with fewer. Edit: On a side note about the worlds being tied to the overall story of KH. I think the first time of course it feels like you are just playing the movie, but the second time around when you are dealing with the Org. 13 (in certain worlds) it's much better. Even things like where Tron mentions that Ansem is his master somewhat links into the story (not significantly, but still). I think it gets unfair criticism compared to the first KH game in that regard.

The Football Thread (association football)
Germany bottled it. On paper they have a very strong team, but when Muller doesn't perform and Gomes gets injured they don't look like a team that has goals in them. Fair play to Portugal in the end, but that final was diabolical to watch. France didn't offer anything. Pogba worth £100m? Not a chance. Overall, Euro 2016 was ok. Lots of the smaller nations can be proud of themselves, but the big teams (and England) weren't what we expect of them.

Finished Steins;Gate today!
It's such a great anime. Easily a very close favourite of mine. People like to hate on the OVA and the film, but honestly I liked those too. Still haven't got around to finishing the VN, but I really love the art style in it.
-
when is Steins gate 0 anime going to air?
The VN is out already in Japan and we get it later this year, but the anime never really had a release date. My guess is it will be out next year as the both the game and anime were announced at the same time originally. In the meantime however you should check out Steins Gate: Episode 23 β if you haven't already. For the most part it is the same episode as what aired in the first Steins;Gate anime, but using the concept of choice from the game it takes a different route and spirals on as a prelude to the upcoming Steins;Gate 0 anime.

How do you like to spend a day off?
Depends on my mood, but it'll more than likely be playing video games.

What is your favourite JRPG Franchise? (No KH)
Only one? D: Hmm. I dunno which would be my absolute favourite, but Pokemon has stuck with me the longest (even if the series has gone downhill after Gen 4). Of your options though I like Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Xenoblade and Golden Sun. While I also like Earthbound and the Mana series.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 officially announced, coming 2018
The internet thing really was a curveball, but I'm hoping they use games and the internet hand in hand. The story of the arcade was pretty good and the whole Turbo thing was interesting. I don't know what kind of story they could do if it focused solely on the internet. The director has spoken about his confidence of getting Mario to appear in a potential sequel before so that would suggest they are still focused on the gaming side at least. It's anyone's guess though.

Which group(s) of Square Enix characters will return in Kingdom Hearts 3?
I expect the "big" ones to reappear as they have been in both KH1 and KH2. However, I'm excited to see what new characters will appear. I'd like to see some love for Final Fantasy IV and VI (outside of Setzer), but if they were to do a Treasure Planet world then that would be the perfect place to give us some Final Fantasy XII rep. Who knows though. I expect them to play it safe with Moogles and familiar faces, but KH2 had far more Final Fantasy rep than the first KH so maybe KH3 will build on what KH2 had.
