The Football Thread (association football)
Gotta say, fair play to Wales yesterday. They completely outplayed Belgium. It's a shame Ramsey will miss the semi-final, but I'd say they still have a great chance to beat Portugal.

Which of the upcoming consoles will you buy?
I'm gonna say NX. Despite knowing next to nothing about the system, Nintendo will always hook me with their IPs. Plus I absolutely love my Wii U despite what people say about the system. I see no reason to upgrade to the Neo or a potential PS4 Slim as I already own a PS4. I could use an upgrade from the 500GB HDD, but thankfully I don't need a new system to accomplish that.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 officially announced, coming 2018
I am glad we are seeing more of that universe but I know what you mean. However, unlike Frozen, I feel this film is being done because they have more stories to tell and feel it needs a bigger budget then what they are doing with Tangled and Big Hero 6 (both are getting a TV series). I'll no doubt be there day one to see Wreck-It Ralph 2 though as it's not like me to wait for it to get a home release.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 officially announced, coming 2018
Online gaming isn't strictly limited to whatever has come out in the last 5-10 years. I understand what you mean and believe me I can't wait to see the cameos they pull this time, but the cameos are really not all that important outside of references/Easter eggs. They've spoken in the past about how they are confident they can include Mario this time around for example. I don't believe they explained the message clearly when they confirmed the sequel however. Sure Ralph is "wrecking the internet", but as all these characters are supposed to be video game characters the concept art is a bit vague when they mention internet. It makes it sound like they are jumping into the world of the internet rather than another world of video games. I like the plot of the original film and it was a fun film, I'm willing to give the sequel a chance because honestly we know nothing about it to say otherwise.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 officially announced, coming 2018
Disney announced via a Facebook Live event that Wreck-It Ralph is officially getting a sequel in March 2018. While it has been hinted at (and pretty much confirmed by John C. Reilly) in the past, this is the official confirmation. Rich Moore returns to direct the sequel, this time joined by writer Phil Johnston as co-director. Both John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman are back to voice Ralph and Vanellope. Plot details are vague, but we do know this much thanks to Oh My Disney: The March release date means that Gigantic has been delayed until November 2018.

I Got Final Fantasies VIII And IX For My PS3!
That's cool man! I haven't played VIII, but IX is my second favourite Final Fantasy game (barely losing out to VI). I feel IX is only growing in popularity nowadays and even then it is criminally overlooked compared to a few other FF games. Definitely hope you enjoy them!

The Football Thread (association football)
I'm trying to find the right words to sum up that England game, but instead I'll steal my friend's: "That was the most inept performance by an international side I have ever seen. And I watched Cyprus beat Ireland 5-2." Fair play to Iceland and I really hope you continue on and beat France, but that was simply embarrassing from England. Hodgson quit before he could be sacked in the morning too You win nothing with kids!

What is your favorite summer refreshment?
That's a tough one... Hmm. Ice cream, ice cold fizzy drinks, slushies, icy lemonade... Uh and a nice ice cold refreshing cider. ... Ironically I like a lot of things that are cold despite Ireland not being known for being a warm place.

The Football Thread (association football)
With all the Last 16 games this weekend, who do you guys think have the best chance to win? Major props to Republic of Ireland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland for all getting through. Especially Rep. Ireland. The buzz this side of the pond when Robbie Brady scored was electric! I can't see us beating France, but hey at least we can use the Henry incident in 2009 as a good source of motivation! I've been impressed with Wales and Northern Ireland too. England are lucky to have gotten Iceland rather than Portugal imo. England have a huge problem of not being able to take their chances and finish teams off. As for the rest of the tournament, I'm really glad it's such an open one. You really feel like anyone can beat anyone! It's also a big plus that Germany, Italy, Spain, France and England are all on the same side of the bracket. I'm glad they've allowed for more nations at the Euro's and the third place idea makes it all the more exciting going into the final group games!

Is This Really Something To Complain About?
I had to check the guy's Twitter to see if it was satire or not. It isn't. He's calling out people as blind fanboys for disliking his video.

Why do people hate Chain of Memories?
The battle system wasn't for everyone. Some find it complicated while others find it great. I love Chain of Memories personally, but I have complaints regarding the PS2 remake. I don't think the battle system transitioned well into 3D. The Card system and field of view for me works a million times better in the GBA version. I loved the battle system and world gameplay, in fact the whole card system was great. Story wise I liked it too and it's definitely the most underrated Kingdom Hearts game. I honestly think many people weren't willing to give the game a proper chance and hate it without really giving an actual argument. The game isn't flawless, but it doesn't deserve the hate it gets from people.

Britain are Leaving The EU!
The scaremongering worked. The result was very close, but I do think a lot of people who voted to leave voted for the wrong reasons. It's too early to raise the "DOOMED" flag, but I do think there are definitely consequences to be had in the long run. The split was so incredibly marginal that it shows how much this referendum has divided the UK. I truly think it would be best for Northern Ireland and Scotland to leave the UK. We laughed at Scotland trying to leave the UK originally, but that was because they were better off staying where they were, but now? Scotland as a whole voted Remain which speaks for itself, Northern Ireland was also a majority Remain vote. Now I don't live in the UK, but I know there were a lot of concerns here in the Republic of Ireland over the vote and those haven't changed. There is so much uncertainty about the next step. I better go try and find some pound coins, they might be regarded as fossils in the future. Many of my friends and family I have, both in Ireland and the UK, are both furious and disappointed by the result. I'm the exact same.

Playing Games the "Right" Way
Not really, but I have used the web for help on item findings or if I do get stuck. I never do it for things like Kingdom Hearts or anything because the games are fairly self explanatory. Yet, for Xenoblade X the game doesn't explain certain things clearly so I find it easier to ask Google than to go digging through maps/menus for what to do or where to go next. Some games I follow a strict rule about not searching stuff up though, for example Dragon Age. Some people like to have multiple saves and I can understand this if they wish to reload or something, but for me I've always had a one save file rule. It makes my choices have more of an impact. However my girlfriend would take a different approach and like you, would want to not miss something. Yet it frustrated me because in Dragon Age: Origins she ended up spoiling aspects of the story striving for some stupid completionist playthrough. It kinda negated the consequences in her choices I felt. To me that wasn't the right way to enjoy the story or game. Though I can sorta understand why some do it. At times my way of playing led me to not getting certain party members or stuff and for some that might be an "incomplete" playthrough, but it was my experience of the story more than anything. That's either the wrong way or the right way to play depending on who you ask. I do feel that searching for things like heart pieces in Zelda or Djinn locations in Golden Sun are a little bit different, they are more collectibles if anything. I wouldn't say that checking a guide is wrong for these. There's plenty of games that offer collectibles and if you are something of a completionist then I think it's perfectly fine to look up these things if you are having trouble. Though as some have mentioned, it really depends on the person and really there's no right or wrong way to play a game. We all have our different approach to playing games.

Which Disney world deserves a second chance?
I voted Symphony of Sorcery because I'd love to see Fantasia again. I don't think it'll happen though as it's technically a world set in the past, but hey stranger things can happen. While I'd love to visit Timeless River again, I don't think the BW era will be touched on again. However, if they could find a reason for us to go back to when Mickey and co. jumped into the world of colour back in the 30s then I'd definitely be a thousand times down for that.
