  2. Just got back from Spider-Man Homecoming-oh wait, no I didn't, because plans cancelled at the last minute... I need a hug.

  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BZwivFCikI The time has come, FusionFall fans. The highly anticipated fan re-build of the classic MMO is going to be open for players next month!
  4. Pfft. I liked Sonic Boom before it was cool. Still need to catch up on Season 2, though.
  5. We haven't had an official home console Spidey game since The Amazing Spider Man 2 movie game four years ago, and if you remember how that game turned out, I think it's safe to say that Insomniac don't have too high of a bar to surpass. No but really: after years of Beenox's stranglehold of the Spider-Man license since the beginning of the 2010s, we can finally start fresh with a new dev team and a fresh start. Beenox's Spidey games haven't been all bad, I thought Web of Shadows was decent and Shattered Dimensions obviously had a lot of fanservice packed into it, but overall, they just haven't been able to surpass the expectations set by past devs like Vicarious Visions and Treyarch. Speaking of that: while this is definetly a brand new IP... I cannot be the only one who can see that its clearly building off the foundation of the Spider Man 2 movie game which has set the bar for making good Spider-Man console games since its release (and has had countless re-iterations that tried and failed to surpass its since), as well as elements from the Batman: Arkham series due to its own acclaim and own raising of said bar. But hey, those games are awesome so why not try to pull from them? If it's not broke, don't fix it. Besides all that, I'm not going to front and say that I'm worried or anything, because I don't like forcing arbitrary cynicism for the sake of it just because it may feel like it's appropriate. Insomniac is a damn good team and what they've shown so far is stellar in both its general aesthetics as well as its showcase and/or potential for innovation. I'm hyped and I'm proud of it.

Did you mean Serbian film, or the WTDGTD sequel?

I saw the latter yesterday, I've already seen ASB. I should also clarify that my experiences with all three have been limited to video reviews but hey, still had to see some (albeit censored although also uncensored) footage regardless, so by all accounts, I still feel like my soul was molested.... yaaaaaay...

      Welp, reviews were bad enough.

Never attempt to find the full versions: you will see unseeable things

Seriously, Serbian Film is easily the worst film ever. I've sadly seen it un-edited, but my finger was constantly on fast forward.

  8. Just like every other red blooded American: buy a bunch of oddly colored powder infused cylinders, light them out in the street while for some reason cars are still moving, and then watch them explode up into the air and make a bunch of loud, booming flashing lights that symbolize everything we stand for: being loud and kinda hard on the eyes for some people... Murica.

  12. Happy 20th anniversary, One Piece! That's right, the manga series has been going since July of 1997, and to celebrate this achievement, we've got a special treat from TOEI Animation to celebrate. Crunchyroll recently reported that a brand new One Piece two-hour TV special would be airing this August -- One Piece: Episode of East Blue! And just yesterday, Japanese TVs were graced with a short preview of the special: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tEU-Ov9hXw The "Episode of" specials are, of course, a time honored tradition in the One Piece animated world, usually hour long (or in this case two hour) recaps of story arcs and moments gone past (most of which are more true to the original manga than the actual anime at times) that feature brand new animation from TOEI themselves. We've seen a total of four of these specials so far -- Episode of Nami, a retelling of the Arlong Park arc; Episode of Luffy, an entirely new story that touched upon the Romance Dawn arc; Episode of Merry, a retelling of the Water 7/Enies Lobby arcs; and most recently, Episode of Sabo, a full retrospective of the character of Sabo that covered his first appearance in the Post-War arc leading up to his return in the Dressrosa arc. This special, as the title suggests, seems to be an attempt to recap the East Blue Saga, i.e. the first ever full length saga in the first half of the series where we see the beginnings of the Straw Hat crew from the introduction of Luffy, the induction of members Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, and Nami and finally their entrance into the Grand Line. The visuals shown so far seem to suggest all of those areas will be covered though it is not confirmed if the last part i.e. the adventures in Lougetown and the eventual transition into the Grand Line, will be shown too, but that remains to be seen. What's interesting about this special is that given that we already had part of the story retold already, that being the events of the Arlong Park arc through the Episode of Nami special, and when I first saw word of this going around, I only saw the parts of the Baratie arc and thought this would be a "Episode of Baratie" special that only covered the recruitment of Sanji, which would make sense given the current events of the anime/manga right now. Given the length of the special, the overall aesthetic and flow of the Arlong stuff might be fairly the same with maybe a few cuts here and there, and I would think TOEI would actually reanimate the cells they made for that special instead of just sticking the already made footage into this new one. Either way, while it's a bit inconsistent with their previous specials, I personally still think that, so far, this seems like it will be a faithful and enjoyable love letter to the stories that started it all for One Piece.

  14. Fixed That For You You know how to use a spoiler tag, right?
  15. See, when I was talking about things that fit and don't fit, I wasn't talking about story exactly. Sure, a lot of Disney properties do fit KH in that sense too, but on a purely aesthetic level, they also work too, and you can't really have one without the other.
  16. Are you proposing that the devs spend time making a pseudo realistic model of Nicolas Cage and put him into KH3? I... don't know how to feel about that. You know, I'm getting really tired of the notion that anything can be made into a world and it would fit right into the KH universe with some kind of arbitrary hand wave. That's not how it works. The worlds we do have work on arrival because much like the core story of KH itself, it's a lighthearted fairy tale with room for multiple fantasy scenarios, which fits many of Disney's classic animated properties. Even Port Royal still works in that regard because even though it's still real humans as opposed to cartoons and anthros, it's still about pirates and curses and all that, and Big Hero 6, the most realistic property that's been confirmed to be apart of, is still set in a futuristic city where teenagers put on mech suits and fight as superheroes. But a (not terrible, but still kind of mediocre) movie where Nicolas Cage Nicolas Cages his way through a dumb plot about stealing the Declaration of Independence? Yeah, I think we should just stick with Treasure Island...
  17. I just woke up after a nap and I dreamed about having to solve an equation using two pizza pies that I got from a sale at Little Caesars that came with four apples. Like, literally just a bunch of apples... I admire your creativity brain, but seriously, stop making me think I'm still in school.

  18. CTR seems like the most logical step given the N'Sane trilogy. It is the most prominent Crash game sans the original trilogy. Super Mario 64 already got a remake on DS technically, but hey, Super Mario for Switch could be a nice old-school alternative for Odyssey. Gotta cash in on that nostalgia. Also, on the subject of remakes: Rockstar has their stock in Red Dead 2 right now, but non-PS users still never got the Scholarship Edition of Bully. How about a re-remake for current gen just for old times sake? We need something to hold us over until RD2 anyway. Either that or something to do with Red Dead Revolver.

  21. Sorry to say but I'm dropping out of the RP. I've had a lot of fun since I've joined, but my interest has stagnated and no matter what, I don't like to force myself to continue being in something I don't enjoy, so I'd rather just call it quits now. Sorry to all, good luck from here on out.
