    Depends, are you interested in the lore at all? Because if you are you absolutely have to play and beat the first game, but if you're just looking for a hard game to play then by all means play DS3, it refines most of DS1's strengths while removing a lot of the uninspired stuff from DS2

    I mean, yes, I AM interested in the Lore... a lot, actually... and DS1 isn't that expensive to buy again... even if I do know the story (kinda)... But thanks! I think I'll take your advice, and play DS1 all the way through, before I get 3! (Watching someone play 2, so...)

    Dude the Dark Souls III collectors edition box set is so cool. A cloth map of the world, the soundtrack, a metal case for the disk, a statue of the metal knight. A 200 page artbook for all 3 games. THIS IS SO EPIC
