Artifact (Sign-Ups & Discussion)
Deep underground, a man in a cowboy hat walks down a flight of stairs. He holds a torch, and the walls are moldy and cracked. The steps themselves are steep, and seem to go on forever. There are loud noises, gunshots and yelling, from behind the man, who appears middle-aged, with a beard and mustache, though his hair is light. He is broad shouldered and dressed in plain clothing that clings to his body, wet with sweat and humidity. He descends, focusing on calming his heartbeat and his breath. He is nervous, but he needs to not be. Finally, he reaches the bottom. He moves forward and finds exactly what he was looking forward. A massive gold plate, carved with intricate designs, set into an altar. He traces his finger over it, smiling despite his panic. He reads it. Our kind is no longer worthy of these gifts May yours be so Earlier in the tomb, the temple, the vault, whatever it was, had been many other carvings and murals depicting massive devastation and terror on a global scale. Warnings. But the man felt his world needed this, now they could handle it. Or, at least, they would handle it or perish. He presses down on the gold plate, leveraging his weight, and suddenly the cavern lights up, revealing a massive room with the altar in the middle. And on the altar appears, as if from thin air, a golden necklace. He puts it on, and suddenly the man glows, his eyes consumed in a golden aura. It hurts the man, and he screams, but eventually he controls it, his eyes return to normal, but the glow remains. He turns back towards the stairs, and drops the torch. He's his own light source now. He leaves the temple. ~~ "Worldwide, there have been accounts of mysterious objects appearing out of thin air. These objects are believed to be, according to a Dr. Mulhaney, relics of ancient times. Little is known of these objects, but they have thus far caused terrible damages and are believed to be on their way to causing more. A tsunami generated by one has destroyed Miami. An earthquake consumed Tunis. Beijing was struck by meteors. Everyone who has picked up an object experiences a massive surge of power, and are suddenly able to do incredible abilities, like something out of a superhero movie. Unfortunately, the objects are difficult to control initially as well, leading to these exact incidences of terrible casualties and damages. Excuse me, um, Doctor, excus..." "Give me this damn microphone. Listen everyone, I have unleashed this power upon the world. I possess the strongest one. I intend to use these powers to solve the problems that plague our world. If you agree with me, come to Minneapolis. If you don't, then don't pick an Artifact up. Or I'll come for you." A crash sounds. Several moments pass before a voice comes back on. "Dr. Mulhaney has flown away through the roof. Um... My producers are saying that I am obligated to say that we do not share his views and cannot vouch for the safety of this man. And to continue the story..." A deep sigh. "Governments are attempting to contain this problem but they are struggling. Please, we here at 101.2 News urge you to stay in your homes until things settle down." Steps can be heard, and then a faint voice before the station is cut off by a commercial. "What the hell is happening anymore?" ~~ Dr. Mulhaney, an infamous archaeologist began on the trail for a power known as Artifacts several years ago, but only very recently finally discovered where they had been locked away. Despite being hunted by many who would see him fail, Dr. Mulhaney activated the Artifacts and escaped the vault. The moment he pressed down on that golden plate, Artifacts, which take the form of any and all objects one can think of, materialized in our world after being locked away in the ethereal plane. From that point, if they are taken up by a human, they are surged with power and lose control for a few moments, often enough time to wreak havoc on their nearby areas. After that though, they are gifted not only with the power but the skill and understanding of it. Criminals, citizens, soldiers, men, women, and all inbetween picked up these items, some with no understanding, some with complete understanding of their actions. It has been one month since that day. The governments of the world are trying and largely failing to keep up with containing the problem. Possessing an object without being in the employ of the government is illegal, but that does little to dissuade criminals from all walks of life from taking it up and waging new wars on society with new effectiveness. Murderers, drug dealers, pirates, all are newly strong. Too strong for normal police or soldiers to keep up with. So, the government has formed a new organization. The BAR, the Bureau of Artifact Regulation, which has a distinct leg up on police or National Guard. They've also been authorized use of Artifacts. Constituted of former citizens who want to use their Artifacts right and many former soldiers or spies that came into possession of Artifacts, the BAR is highly qualified and highly organized. They are about to go on their first outing into the world, a test of their effectiveness before they continue on to eliminate the other organizations with Artifacts. Mulhaney's Army, true to his word on the radio, and several other broadcasts, holed up in Minneapolis. Any that came seeking him came under his protection, and the whole state of Minnesota was soon empty of criminal Artifact wielders, all eliminated by Mulhaney himself. His full capabilities are yet unknown, but it seems he was correct about being the strongest. Many seeking to do good with their newfound powers and are unwilling to come under the Government's thumb come to Mulhaney. There he helps to train them, and dispatches them to help calm the world, which sometimes means taking out criminals or doing other odd jobs that he refuses to elaborate on the purpose of yet. Ultimately, he seems a good man, but he has still been condemned by the Government and the BAR for illicit possession and use of Artifacts. Nox is the name of a criminal organization that has suddenly come into the light. It is led by a woman of the same name. Her priority? Unknown. But she has been recruiting the most powerful Artifact wielders, often blackmailing or torturing them into submission if they do not join willingly. She allows them generally free reign to do what they want, whether that's rob or murder or just live a normal life, but it is clear there will be consequences if they do not come when she calls them. Not surprisingly, it has been condemned by the BAR and is a high priority target. ~~ GM Notes: 1. So this is something relatively new, or at least, thus far relatively unsuccessful. The idea behind this RP is that you start not ordinary, but not the strongest around either. The characters you make are the foot soldiers of these organizations, or rogue agents of mediocre strength. The idea is that through the course of their journey they will accomplish not only inner strength, but increase in power too. The way this will work is that I have limited the starting Artifact amount to ONE. And one Artifact means only one power. Throughout the course of the game you will get more, rewarded as I dictate either as loot from defeated foes, payouts from your faction of choice, or just otherwise found. But I am the only one with the power to give Artifacts, unless a PC dies/gives their Artifact to someone else, I've no control of this. 2. On another note on the Artifacts, I want to see a lot of creativity with these Artifacts. I want to see unique powers. Maybe not unique to the whole world, but unique to the RP. I will keep a running list of Artifacts with powers outlined so that you know what might be still original. Also, Artifacts can be any object. Upon their return to the modern world, some reformed to fit the modern period. So an Artifact could just as easily be a sword as a gun. On that note, technology level is 2017, so keep that in mind in game. 3. In terms of factions, I have outlined 3 for you to choose from. If you choose to be a neutral agent, know that you will be an enemy to all three of the factions by default and that it will be more difficult for you to get Artifacts. If you accept this, then I am happy to accommodate a neutral character's story. 4. Traditionally speaking, RPs on KH13 use art from video games or anime or just random drawings found on the web. If you could, I'd ask you to instead use a real person as a face claim (limited to models, actors, musicians, people in the public eye not just a random dude you found a facebook photo of). I won't deny drawings/fictional faces, but I feel that face claims will promote more diversity in race and body shape, which I think would be cool. 5. Let's have fun okay? I've got a story in mind here, but with any luck you'll all have a lot of interaction between each other and the plot as a whole. There also could be a lot of PVP which is a lot of fun. I just ask that we keep things chill as we can, and that you work with me to create a hospitable environment to play in and to create an interesting story for your characters and the whole plot. ~~ Rules: 1. No god-modding, metagaming, auto-hitting, mass slaughter, all that stuff that breaks the game. None of it. 2. Proper grammar is a necessity. 3. Be nice. 4. All KH-13 rules apply ofc. 5. You may reserve a power or a face if you don't have time at the moment. I'll give you 10 days to make good on said reservation before it is no longer reserved. 5. There's really not a lot to say here. If I decide that I see something that I don't want happening I will warn you, add it to the rules if it's not already here, and then I will kick you out if you do it again. Neena Mors - The Zealot - Raiden's Villa; Under Guise of Alayne Neena couldn't stop looking at him. Ren. She knew it was him. He looked terrible. His smile was fresh, but his frame was thin. Hauntingly so. She had to work to keep surprise free from Alayne's face, had to work to keep working instead of dropping it all and talking to him. That was what she wanted to do. But she couldn't. Not yet, no for now she had to keep doing this trivial serving girl labor, listening carefully as she took empty dishes back from the table, as she poured water and juice and milk. Even in this though, she looked to Ren. It was hard to focus on listening to these fool humans when the ghost of her friend was sitting right there at the table. How had he gotten here, freed from whatever torture that bitch of a queen had forced him go under? Perhaps the more important question though, was what was he doing here? Obviously eating toast and chatting easily, his free and easy personality somehow still not squandered. But... Why here? This was the villa of Raiden, enemy of the queen yes but also key player in bringing these humans here, and with the goal of severing the separation between worlds. Did he not realize that? That the torturers and captors and killers of Helios and Ariana were who he was breaking bread with? It was... insanity. Regardless, his presence complicated matters. No longer could she cause free reigning chaos for Ren might get caught in the crossfire. The humans were leaving for now, which was good, but also... they would be back. There would be unity, supposedly at least. And Neena had to get in the way of that unity. It could not happen. Gel - The Farmer - Castle Courtyard Gel jogged lightly, looking about him. He saw Aura and Aurion and Henry and Helios. And a few others, notable presences including a man with a pegasus. And that wasn't the worst of it! Just on his trek here he'd seen horned people, winged people, tailed people, furry people. He supposed he ought to have been looking forward to such, he had spent time with Helios after all. But it was still a little overwhelming. He didn't know how the others were taking to it so well. Gel made it to the siblings and Helios and Henry and scratched the back of his head. "I was um... tired. I'd been on the road for a while and that bed was literally heavenly. But I missed the trial, um, obviously." Gel looked to Helios, looked the spriggan up and down. "But I mean, your head's not on a pike so I guess that went okay. But guys," Gel glanced back to the Twins, his gaze shooting to Henry for half a moment before lingering on the Twins. "I also heard that we're to leave immediately. It was that verdict that caused a guard to rustle me okay rather violently. He seemed quite adamant on us buzzing off. Do y'all have, um, anything else on that?" Cerberos - The Mercenaries - Dungeoneering: The Nymphadora Sea Screw the job right? They were in a brand new world, all of it open to them in incredible ways. Why bother with what Helvadoria had paid them to do? Of course, at some point, they'd probably go back, finish things off. They had a reputation to consider But... why do that right now? Technically, the job was to gain as much knowledge as they could of the Overworld. They'd done so in the city of Mystras, but there sure was a lot to this world. A brief talk with an old hermit that had grabbed the cuff of Swanson's pants (had it been Ryonne or Viridem, they'd have brushed him off, but Swanson stayed to talk with the geezer) and they were informed of a tomb. With treasures. Warned of dangers of course, but what mercenary worth their salt doesn't risk danger for treasure? Besides, with the handy little tools they'd picked up from Lord Raiden's vault, they were feeling pretty much invincible. But now, standing in front of a giant ocean.... Well. "We need an item that's at the bottom." "The bottom? The bottom of an ocean. What are we doing? We can't swim to the bottom of the ocean." A single grunt in agreement. "So... Let's turn around right? Go find another prince or whatever to tail." "No no, friends, I told you I had this handled!" "Swanson, I know bravado is like your thing, but I am not about to watch you drown. At least let me turn around so I don't have to watch your body float to the top after you die." "Now, I can handle this, but only if you watch. I learned a trick too while you guys were flying and running and stuff." "Ryonne, come on. Let's go. Make him stop. You aren't making him stop." "I'm curious what Swanson thinks he can do to fight an ocean." "Almighty why did I get stuck with you two losers! I swear had I found some women I'd be the richest merc in both worlds by now." "Come now Viridem! Faith, trust, and pixie dust!" Swanson grabbed the battle axe he had scavenged from the vault. He placed both hands on the handle, and turned to smile a winning smile at his comrades. "Ryonne, you best be ready with that whole run fast thing." Ryonne shrugged, and Swanson laughed. He lifted the axe behind his head, gripped it tight, then swung down, hard. But it was not just hard. Swanson's strength alone was laughable compared to the weight of his axe, which swiftly became easily the heaviest thing currently around. It smashed into the ground, splitting it open, and sending a massive shockwave throughout the ground. Viridem slipped and fell, as did Ryonne but he just as swiftly scrambled to his feet again, watching the sea still. The earthquake pulsed through the water, pushing it forward in a massive wave that would crash onto the opposite shore soon. But for now, there was an opening, the ocean floor revealed. Ryonne spotted a gleam on the ocean floor, and darted forward, his blinding speed making it to the object and back just before the water began to crash back into its sea. It splashed up around them, soaking all three of them. Ryonne held the object that would apparently enable them to go into the tomb. Swanson laughed at Viridem's soaked and shocked expression. "Now then, I'd appreciate some more trust in the future." He said with a smile, offering Viridem a hand up. She swatted it away. "You're paying for my laundry." She assured him, before turning and floating up on the wind. To the tomb.

Alright, that's totally great. Thanks for the recap, and you guys have done some work in the last few months. I will place Neena in the breakfast, that seems most appropriate. Gel I'll put with Henry since that seems logical? Though he's not as strong as Henry, hes not fully human so if Henry's being quarantined it'd make sense for him to receive the same sentence. Cerberos... Idk? I saw mention of some dungeons earlier in the sign-ups maybe they'll go treasure hunting some more b4 coming back into the fold more fully when war breaks out. If thats all good then therell be a post later.

RWBY
Yeah I'm going to go with the meh side of things too Character development was pretty solid And I liked seeing the girls separated, it feels more individual and gave the audience more chance to identify with the individual girl vs. the relationships between the characters Aside from Ren and Nora who I felt got a solid backstory/relationship development and Ren's vengeance felt very resolved to me. Maybe that's just cause Renora is the best thing of this show, but I was a sucker for it. It was also good to see more lore/fleshing out of the world. But the action scenes were few and far between and not very special at that. The only one that had me like edge of my seat was Ruby Qrow and Tyrian. I think they need more action than this volume, but less than the oversaturation of action in volume 3. The plot went nowhere. It was slow at best, filler at worst. And that's frustrating, because while yes, character development since a lot of arcs were in a bad place last time is good, we had such little plot everything begins to feel unneeded. What does the character development matter without the central conflict? That's most of my thoughts. Also there was less Emerald and the Emerald we saw was cinder-senpai emerald which is the worst version of emerald. So y'know, not awesome lmao.

Neena ~ The Zealot ~ Mystras; Raiden's Villa - Feast of Fools Neena, disguised as she was, giggled contentedly at Soren's words. "No good at all." She agreed with an affirmative nod. Neena herself hardly agreed. The world had been good for centuries. Would have continued to be. She thought of Helios and Ariana, and their choice to go down below. That had been the beginning of this all. Damn them! But... Still she mourned for their loss. He asked her her name, and Neena swiftly realized she had not come up with a name for her cover. "Alayne." She made up on the spot. She drilled it into her memory. Do not forget fake name. That would be bad. "And yes I am. Our Lord Raiden is very wise, and has served Mystras well for a very long time. My family traveled here from our ancestral home long ago, and were never gladder for it. He knows what is best for our world. If that is humans, then I will stand with him." She cursed the words as they came from her lips, but when one was playing a role, they play it whole-heartedly. The smile on her lips never faltered. "You are strong yes? Will you stand with Lord Raiden if things get... bloody?" She asked, tilting her head and raising an eyebrow to sell the curiosity. Cerberos ~ The Mercenaries ~ Mystras; Fountain Square It was getting late. But it was still early for when they needed to meet Yevgeni. Of course, they tried to aim to be early when they could. Better to be there already opposed to arriving late. Was bad for their rep if they arrived late. So just a few minutes after Yevgeni began to wait, a blur appeared in front of him, which then stood still. It was Ryonne. He exhaled, and his hand went to his pendant. So that was what it did. Made him... fast. Neat. He looked at Yevgeni and nodded, and his hand went to the inside of his cloak... The dagger was not there. He had given it to Swanson before activating the amulet. "It'll be just a moment." Ryonne said deferentially, glancing behind him to look out for his comrades. He caught sight of Viridem's flowing green hair, blowing in wind she created herself. She had discovered that the glaive she clutched in her hands could do that. Create gusts of wind, and she used them to fly in some ways, though her first attempts had been awkward at best. In any case she floated down, and though she stumbled upon touch down, she managed to catch herself. She gave a short mock salute towards Yevgeni, then turned with Ryonne. "Where did you leave him?" The Swordsman grumbled. "Somewhere up the hill, I don't know." She waved off the question. Ryonne glared at her and she glared back. "I'm not his babysitter!" She responded to his gaze. He looked away from her and back towards where he should be coming from. Finally, another few minutes later, Swanson came jogging around a corner, the massive dual bladed axe still on his chest. He finally made it to the group, hands on his knees, catching his breath. "My souvenir did not make me faster." He breathlessly explained to the other two. He glanced up towards Yevgeni and held up a finger. Just give me a second. He caught his breath, and then stood, pulling the dagger from his coat and offered it towards Yevgeni. "We got it for you." Gelabrous ~ The Farmer ~ Kilkes Seres; The Palace Gel had not been excited about flying again so suddenly, but went along. He'd come this far right, might as well just head the rest of the way? They crashed through a window, and Gel fell off Helios' back immediately. Bones crunched when he landed, and Gel grimaced, but lay still as his bones mended. He watched carefully, from the ground, hurting very badly though he would for only a few moments longer, as Maxis appeared, scary dude Gel noted, very very intimidating. Henry took down some clones or something, his view from the ground was not awesome. As guards covered all the entrances, Gel felt his bones finally knit back together fully, and he pushed himself up to his feet, moving towards the middle of the room. "Guys guys guys," He said, moving his hands downward. "We don't need to be all stabby stab right? We can talk this out right? I mean, yes, we'll have to do it with the queen, but talking is still involved. Talking not stabbing. Repeat after me." Gel said, trying to prevent a battle that while he would probably come out fine from, he didn't think it would feel very pleasant.

Kingdom Hearts: Vanguard Rebirth RP
Nikolai moved through the portal, throwing his hands up in the air, stretching them as he walked through the sand, scanning the world before him. Nothing. Which was good probably, considering he didn't have his sword or gun out. Hiroki followed, staff carefully gripped in his hand. Nikolai smiled at Nilas and Clarice and Shirou. "We're just checking things out right? So... We could just go check out the water, maybe check out an oceanside bar, or check out some suntan lotion and a towel? That all follows the orders right?" Nikolai said, moving further away from the portal, pretty much ignoring Vaner's command to stay near it until all were ready. "Business first, then pleasure. Does anyone sense any... malevolence?" Hiroki barked, then asked, his eyes moving from person to person, lingering on Clarice for a few moments before moving on. Being with her... It made him uneasy. She was light yes, he could feel it, but it was painful in its brightness. Like when one stared at the sun for too long. ~~~~ Selvera climbed into the gummi ship. She was familiar with the kind of ship from her travels, one of the more favorable methods of interworld traveling. She rarely was on one herself, only on occasional jobs that required it. She moved through the cockpit, towards the front, leaning over the dashboard. Some of the others were talking about homes. She had no desire to do so. She didn't have one. Hadn't for a very long time. Homes were crippling anyway. They held you down. Restrained. She glanced towards Skylar, who she noted as also not speaking, and thought about sharing an expression with him, then remembered he was the jerk from earlier, and so scowled and looked towards the pilot. Scarp. "When are we gonna get there? Soon I hope. Wanna knock these out, quick as possible."

Kingdom Hearts: Vanguard Rebirth RP
"Evening Bert!" Nikolai called, from his seat at the table. He blew on the mug of coffee in his hands and took another sip from it. "Apologies for not helping everyone, I am simply useless without my morning coffee." Hiroki came back from the cafe, a plate with a cinnamon bun on it and sat next to Nikolai. "It's evening." The Chosen One pointed out the flaw in Nikolai's logic, which the Prince waved off with a casual gesture. "Regardless, it seemed you all quite had it handled. I would have jumped in if anyone seemed too terribly in danger, I do have a heart I promise. Big enough for everyone here, especially you ladies." Nikolai smiled and winked at some general direction, not really towards anyone. Hiroki grumbled something under his breath as he began to eat the cinnamon bun. "Also, my friend and I would love to visit the Islands. Sounds like a lovely vacation destination really." Selvera on the other hand, was busy. She had tried to keep her distance in the fight, waiting for vulnerabilities, evaluating the enemy. In the end, her help wasn't needed either though. Which was fine. Good to save energy for the tougher fights down the line. Still. Something irked her about the fight as it had gone down. Yes, many things irked her, but there was something off about this one. She moved towards where the opponent had made their escape. She knelt down to the ground, moved towards the walls. Searching for anything of value or worth, whether as a clue or gold. She'd love either. She heard Vaner continuing about, and if she found anything she pocketed it, and moved back towards the group in time to hear the assignments. "Lanes Between." She gave her answer. No reason really. Maybe a little reason, to stray from that Nikolai creep. Beyond that, nothing.

It is remarkably impressive Swanson going up to Yev and calling him Prince, didn't get all of them killed immediately so yes, I would say he is incredibly lucky. And I mean, to be fair, whenever shit goes down he does have like eight axes to keep him alive. How much that will continue to work as he plays with Fey we'll see.

Overworld RP *COMPLETE*
Cerberos ~ The Mercenaries ~ Mystras; Raiden's Villa Ryonne had paused at the window for several moments, even as Viridem and Swanson joined him inside. He held a finger to his lips, looking at the blue-haired man. He was close... too close. It was unsettling. Yet... just like that the man departed. They all released breaths of relief, though Ryonne still felt disturbed. They should have been seen, yet he just left. Perhaps he didn't want to get involved. Whatever the case... this was not the time to look a gift horse in the mouth. They were in a realm where people had wings and powers beyond their wildest dreams. They needed every advantage they could take. The trio regrouped, staying crouched beside a wall near the window for a quick escape. Ryonne gestured for Viridem to check out the next corner, which she did after a swift nod. She moved slowly, staying in the shadows, and staying quiet, peeking her head around to check the hallway. She surveyed it swiftly, observing the hall, the guard, the doors. Viridem moved back to the others. One, she held up a finger, noting the guard. Ryonne nodded, then glanced to Swanson, and held up two fingers. Plan number two for taking down a single guard. Plan number two was as fast and quiet as it got, the others were a bit louder. Some were also nonlethal, but in this instance that care didn't need to be taken. Though, they were far easier. Viridem flicked back out into the hallway, crouching behind cover, pulling a dagger from her coat. The flash of green grabbed the guard's attention, and she stood from the wall, looking towards the corner. She began to move towards where Viridem was hidden. The moment she got close enough though, Swanson surged from behind the corner and rolled so that he was behind the guard. The guard, distracted by Swanson, didn't see as Viridem stood from behind her cover and threw the dagger, which landed squarely in the guard's throat. The guard staggered, then fell, right into Swanson's arms, so that her body hardly made a bump on the floor. "Good to know these Fey aren't tougher to kill than us," Viridem commented dryly, recomposing herself as Swanson took the dagger from the dead woman. He slung the body over his shoulder and handed the knife back to Viridem. "Don't get cocky now, our sample size is too limited to make judgments." Ryonne answered her, beginning to move towards the doors. Viridem rolled her eyes. They tried each door, checking inside. One room was empty and looked rather unused, so that is where Swanson discarded the body. Finally, they opened up into the treasury. Swanson whistled lowly as he entered. It was an impressive room, filled with impressive objects. The dagger especially, lay in its case. They gathered around it for a moment, staring at the prize. Finally, Swanson lifted the cover off and snatched it, stowing it away in his coat. Ryonne gave him a look, but Swanson smiled and shrugged. They'd need to do that anyway, might as well just stop wasting time. "Also there's an axe here I want." Swanson said, turning away from his partners. Ryonne shrugged. He didn't see the harm in it. He didn't like to think of them as thieves, but they'd been hired by a client to steal from and thus damage this Lord Raiden's position. Might as well just go the extra bit. "Take whatever you like." He said, grabbing a pendant from a nearby jewelry box. It glowed with import, and Ryonne wondered what sort of tricks lay within. He slipped it on over his head. He'd have to try out what it did later. Viridem's eyes landed on an emerald glaive, engraved with pictographs of wind. She pulled it off the wall, and in an instant, it shrunk down to the size of a long dagger. And with just a thought, it extended again. "Hmph. Neat I guess," She said as Swanson took the crew's final prize. A massive double bladed battle-axe. It felt almost too heavy to carry, but the longer he held it, the better it felt in his hands. It soon became balanced. Swanson swung it onto his back, where a mechanism for holding battle-axes was at all time. It was a little conspicuous, but Swanson just kind of was as a person. And with that, Cerberos exited, intent on escaping without another noise. Gel ~ The Farmer ~ Isopolis On the flight over, which Gel was having a rough time of, just as a note. They were going so very fast and Gel hardly had had time to get himself settled. Even as they paused, Gel still spent that time just kind of focusing on not throwing up. And they were in the air again about as fast as they'd landed. He really hoped there would be not as much of this flying thing as there was right now. Helios told Henry to meet him, and Gel struggled to lift a hand in a kind of wave. "Hi! It's nice to see you. Yeah they basically did to me what they did to you? But also you're like way cooler than I am." Gel greeted. Finally, they reached their destination... the Overworld. Gel would have time to revel in it later though, as he got off and away from Helios as swiftly as he could, catching his breath as Helios talked excitedly about all the things he wanted to do now that he was home again. Gel gave kind of a gesture of confirmation though he was facing away from them all. "Sounds good, you guys just uh, plan for a second, I'll be with you in just a moment."

Rise of the Fallen (RP Thread)
Anthony and Irena awoke, and as they moved about, asking questions, their platform floated around a corner of sorts, down the lava flow and into a massive cavern. In the middle of this cavern sat a large pile of rock, at the top a throne. Around this pile was more magma, almost as if it were a moat. The pair of warriors floated, and their platform bumped into the mountain of sorts, and it was in that moment that they might have noticed it was not rock at all. Not really. Petrified bones were what made this throne, stacked high into the air. Their platform continued to float around the mountain in the moat, though there was the potential to leap onto the mountain and off the platform if they chose. Regardless though, a being flickered into appearance on the throne, though she was still phantasmal. "Apologies, bringing you here drained me, as I said. It is hard to manipulate souls that are not dead, but I caught you just as you were about to be. You are not dead, just in case that wasn't clear. Almost though. You'll need to do better next time. Also someone is messing around with the order of things up there and it's seriously making it hard to focus on you two." And with that she vanished again from sight. Her voice echoed still about the cavern though, as if she hadn't left at all. "Not a God though. Not really. Well, it's arguable. What does God even mean anyway? In any case, I'm not with them, and I wasn't born one of them. It's a little tough to explain." As she spoke, walls of rock shifted open on the far side of the moat of magma, and stairs were created. "You have a choice. You can stay here, check it out, I'd be glad to open up another doorway. Rest, recover, stay here as long as you like. Though, stay too long and you might become a little more dead. Or you can go back to the battlefield. Saramune has retired. It seems your vanishing has made him a little bored of the whole thing." ~~~~ Things escalated so swiftly, Ryonne had a difficult time processing it. It seemed, two more rebels had joined them on this ship, targeting the two Gods with attacks. Ryonne gripped his scabbard harder, trying to judge the information as best he could. A musician of sorts, and though he could hear the whistle, he'd seen sonic cues for magic before. The Gods were likely experiencing something very different. And then another, cloaked, like a thief, Ryonne thought, threw smoke. This was the perfect opportunity, and evidently Seth had felt the same way, summoning a flaming sword and launching into the battle. "Hey! Stowaways! You two better either swab decks or kick God ass if you wanna stick around!" Nikolai shouted at Khayal and Sirona from his perch at the wheel. It was at that moment that the bottom of the ship skimmed a rooftop. Nikolai swore and escalated, driving the ship skyward at an intense angle. "Focus on the not killing us and not the witty one-liners darling!" Alina shouted back at the Lost Prince, and Nikolai's brilliant laugh was the only reply. Ryonne focused again on his target, and he lunged forward, his speed still activated, slicing his blade out at the knees of the one whom Seth had not attacked. The God screamed in pain, and his hands still on his ears, kicked out, landing a foot in Ryonne's gut and sending him sprawling. The God growled again, and tried to look through the smoke for whoever was making that insufferable noise. His eyes landed on Sirona after a few moments, and he charged at the Bard, bringing out a spear and thrusting it towards him. The other God had been brought to his knees by the sound of the whistle, when suddenly, his shoulder burned, and the flesh mottled as Seth came from nowhere. He bellowed, and brought a dagger from his waist and lashed out towards the Blacksmith. He then stood and tried to swat Seth away with a powerful backhand. It was after that that Alina's spell took effect, golden chains surging forward, looping around that God's wrists, and pulling him to the ground where he was vulnerable again. ~~~~ The gem flew towards Phato, but just a moment too late. Phato completed the chant, and the circles around the room glowed with an incredible heat. The splotch made contact, and stone began to grow up her legs, but that was fine. She'd completed her mission. The dagger plunged deep into her shoulder, but still Phato smiled at Rabiyu. "It doesn't matter. I succeeded, and that is the most important piece of all. You loyalists will all pay the same price as me, but it will be for a cause that has never been as worthy, is not a subject of pride, the way mine is! So, bootlicker, who really won here?" Phato told Rabiyu, smiling peacefully as her face became stone, freezing the mage's expression forever. It would only be a matter of moments before the vault exploded, and after that, the rest of the bank would surely collapse.

Overworld RP *COMPLETE*
Neena ~ The Zealot ~ Mystras; Raiden's Villa Things were coming down a little. She could disrupt things now. Throw everything into chaos with a well-placed arrow. But somehow... she felt now wasn't right. Things were idle, not tense. Just because things were quiet didn't mean they were awkward or tense. Patience Neena, patience. She poured wine still, but she was growing restless. She needed to do something. Intel. Easy, and most essential. But her target... who could she speak to, con into telling her things. She noted the arrival of Jynn and the man's guard, as well as Raiden speaking with him. But still, the situation remained quiet. Jynn seemed intent on allowing things to go on as they were despite any potential threats. Damn his reasonability. Neena needed everyone here to hate each other, but it seemed they were all devoted to some form of peace. With her eyes focused on a target, the Sentinel of the Temple, Soren, she bent down so that her face was by his ear. "Things are most interesting aren't they? I love how interesting they are, truly. This world was getting stale, I do not think I'd have liked to live centuries with just the same old things happening. Do you feel the same? Is that why you are here now?" She asked him, her voice a little cheery, bubbly. She was playing a role right now. She didn't want to be seen as herself after all, that might be bad. Cerberos ~ The Mercenaries ~ Mystras; Outside Raiden's Villa "Didn't we just escape this place?" Viridem commented, her voice filled with sarcasm and distaste for the situation. "Situation changed." Ryonne answered curtly. He looked at the walls, and wondered how secure the place was. They were looking for a vault, they knew that much. Scaling a wall seemed the easiest way in, considering just walking in the front door seemed an incredibly easy way to get killed, or at the very least found out. Neither of which were good. Swanson, whilst Ryonne stared at the wall, walked up to it, and pulled out a grappling hook. He tossed it up, and it caught on the roof tiles, he pulled, and assured it was steady, gestured to it. Ryonne nodded slightly, though he didn't like how careless that had been. It was one thing to be caught staring at a wall, it was another to be caught tossing a grappling hook. But it was done now. "Quickly," Ryonne commanded, moving towards the rope and scaling it, all the way to the roof. Viridem and Swanson joined him soon after, and Swanson pulled the rope up and stowed it back into his bag. They were inside the compound. Now for the vault. And hopefully, they could do it all without being seen. Gel ~ The Farmer ~ Avarice; Market They spoke about travelling back into the Sondon, about going to rescue Henry. And Gel thought.... He'd just left there. He'd escaped, made it away with his life. He could find something new for himself, free from danger or risk or anything. He could live the life he'd always wanted to, the simple one. But he looked at Helios, the Fey, the person who didn't fit here. And Gel knew he couldn't just let things be. Things would only get more crazy, if he was there or not. And Gel figured, might as well try and be as much the voice of reason as he could be right? He didn't know how effective he could be... But if there was even a chance he could help return things to normal shouldn't he take it. He took a deep breath, took a last look at the Avarician market, then looked back to Helios and the twins. He nodded emphatically. "I'll keep with you guys." He answered, moving towards them. "So let's get going I guess?"

Rise of the Fallen (RP Thread)
Iuit moved forward slowly, menacingly. He was not a fan of fighting this mortal, but slow and steady was how he fought. How he was effective. And so he would. Henry made to ask him another question, and before Iuit replied, he rushed forward, tucking his head and charging towards Henry shoulder first. Upon theoretical contact, he'd have thrown his shoulder up, hoping to throw a caught Henry up into the air as well. "You may ask." Iuit replied then, his voice deep and smooth. Viridem watched from her perch, having ensure the girl was safe and away she'd come back. Because well... She was interested in the outcome. Might she find someone reliable in him? Well, it wasn't looking likely at this point. Iuit seemed to be invincible on all fronts... but that just meant there was on critical weak point. The philosophy had held true for Viridem in her god-killing thus far, and she expected that Iuit would not be an exception. If he was... well he'd be more than just a patrolling freelancer in the Gods' society. ~~~ Falling Boulder followed Kaspar and Tolan's gaze, as corpses of the fallen men rose from the dead. He'd known this was Kaspar's magic, his skill. And while any tool that would defeat the Gods would be helpful to them, it was still unsettling to Falling Boulder. One could scarcely blame him, he was as traditional as traditional got when it came to Greys, and zombies would intimidate anyone. Tolan asked about the next plan. Falling Boulder nodded. "The Gods aren't our target, not yet. What we need are the prisoners. We lose more and more fighters every moment of every day. We need to free the ones stolen from us. Then we have to leave." Falling Boulder spoke to them, giving them his own insight. He'd sound the retreat as soon as the prisoners could escape. But they needed some help to do that. Fortunately, it seemed the zombies were already helping. "Quickly now! Unless you must rest, in which case, retreat. Fight another day. But I must continue!" Falling Boulder said, then gave a loud war cry as he charged towards the prison camp. ~~~ "I'm done answering your questions. I gave you the easy way out. But you did not take it." The Sword God said, shaking his head slowly. Anger powered that man, and the girl as well. Vengeance drove most of the fighters these days. And vengeance was good. It filled an opponent up. But it was not a true drive, not one that was renewable. It would only leave them empty. A shame. Regardless, they would not be long for this world anyway. He'd have to find another reliable fighter. Challenge would be his, one of these days. "The name of the God who has killed you is Saramune." He said with an air of finality. He whipped his blade out, and in a flash, he was upon both of them at once, blades at their necks. A sharp pain as the blade entered Irena's and Anthony's necks could be felt, before they vanished from General Saramune's sight. ~~~ Anthony and Irena would awake to find themselves surrounded by molten rock, and a single drifting chunk as it ran down the lava flow. There was no sky visible anywhere, only red hot rock and molten magma. Both of their necks bled from where Saramune's blade had been just a moment before. "I won't have enough strength to do that again I don't think." A woman's voice said, though no woman was visible anywhere. ~~~ Seth leaped off the balcony following the spear throw that nearly skewered him as Ryonne had seen it. Really? Jumping? This was very dumb he thought. And likely, Seth also felt the same way as he fell, increasing still in speed, it looking ever more likely by the second that he would hit the ground and die a very painful death. But, instead, he hit a wooden deck. Hard. "Good choice mate, not looking too great up there." Nikolai's voice came from nowhere, and suddenly the whole ship was visible. A pirate ship almost, but attached to it were rotors that seemed to be working hard to lift the whole machine higher up into the air. Nikolai was behind the steering wheel, and Alina on the deck nearby Seth, though she didn't offer him a hand up. Ryonne turned towards the balcony, the airship now fully in view of everyone and everything. It should have been impossible... That level of technology had never been seen before. But, impossible life was better than too possible death, Ryonne decided, as he leaped off the balcony onto the ship now as well, landing on his feet. However, the Gods were not done with them as they ran and jumped landing onto the ship as it began to gain altitude, soaring through the skyline of the town, just above the roofs. "Boarders! Alina, get rid of them!" Nikolai cried, and the girl from before, evidently named Alina sighed as she pulled out a staff, readying for a fight of some sort. ~~~ The spiritual gorilla vanished as soon as the dagger landed, but that was the least of Rabiyu's problems. Phato stood now in front of the back wall, and she spun her staff and cast a spell, and suddenly a massive circle could be seen. It spread over structural pillars, from wall to wall. An experienced mage like Rabiyu might be able to recognize it as a very powerful explosion spell, written out to magnify power and shorten the chant, which Phato began to say in a sing song voice at that moment. ~~~ Mack was surprised by the odd porcelain woman's dexterity, despite being almost certainly stunned by his punch, she still managed to deftly dodge his slice, and pushed the blade further away from his body. Now in an awkward position she lashed out with sharp claws, and his clothing ripped, through the chainmail even, scratches appearing on his side. Mack cried out, then yelled some kind of battlecry, lashing out with his blade once more, swinging it recklessly. Fierro opened his mouth to warn Mack of the sudden attack of roots, but didn't in time as the tree slammed down upon Mack, wrapping him up and incapacitating him. He screamed in anger, and continued to swear at the loyalists. But he was done. Fierro shook his head. This had not gone optimally.

Once Upon a Fantasy RP
<Terra> "Yeah, so am I." Tina said quietly, her other hand going to Kievan's. This was a truly terrifying beast before them, and Tina in her fear, could only cower, with little more. Were these her final moments on this earth? Would she die now? That... couldn't be right could it? Tina felt sentenced, condemned, sitting in this car, helpless and hopeless. And that, well, it made her feel angry. Remarkably so. She watched the creature for a moment longer, and glanced towards Kievan, who sat with the phone pressed against his ear, like it would save him. That didn't make her angry... but it didn't help. Tina stepped out of the car and picked up a chunk of asphalt. "Buzz off!" If she was going to die, it wouldn't be doing nothing, resigned to her fate. No, she controlled her life. And she always would. Tina threw the asphalt at the whack ghost thing. _Terra_ "Shouldn't they also be at the hospital? We could head there, have Lukas and myself go find Elysia and Aeria, and you and Sora can go talk to Iris. Or we could switch places." Terrence proposed as Sora complained in the back about wanting to be part of the investigation and being bored. Terrence glanced back to the kid and smiled towards him at a stoplight. He then faced forwards again. "It's just talking to Iris Sophia, shouldn't be any danger. Honestly, before the last few days, the idea that anyone would be in any danger would have made me laugh. Let him help you do some detective work, I'm sure he'll do quite fine. And I bet you'd like that too huh Sora?" Terrence called out the last bit louder so that those in the backseat could hear him more clearly. *Yuffie* Amber had been about to answer Myles' question, maybe refer him to a place a bit finer than the diner if he was going to act so high and mighty, but the journalist woman swept him away before she got the chance. She waved goodbye to Zach as he departed with the whole crew, then sat back in her chair, and took a deep breath. She pulled out her phone and began to mess with it, checking twitter and snapchat, though she'd never gotten any real pleasure from doing these things. They were just a means to an end, a way to keep up with her friends. But Amber had always preferred to hang out, or be out and doing things rather than on her phone. But since, she was just sitting here, there was no reason not to right now. [Tifa] "Thank you Iris. Don't worry, I've got it covered. Besides, he's kinda cute isn't he?" She said, smiling towards Iris as she carted Cloud away, headed towards nowhere in particular. The amnesiac had intrigued her, and she wasn't going to not follow up. And he triggered something in her, and it felt to her like something she'd been seeking for a long time had finally come onto the board. Cloud asked her a question as he came to from the shot. Krissa shook her head. "Crazy's harsh. You just hit your head. Lost a few memories. Happens all the time." She said, discouraging him from terming himself as crazy. "You'll be feeling much better in a few days I'm sure, then we can help you find your home. Up until then, I'd be glad to keep you company though."

Overworld RP *COMPLETE*
Neena ~ The Zealot ~ Mystras; Raiden's Villa Lorleanna, the lizard woman came in, announcing for many to hear that the Prince was here. Queen Shiva's choice errand boy had finally made it. Neena was now left with a choice. Should she follow Raiden to go see Jynn? It was an interesting proposal. If she moved correctly, she could start a battle there that would swiftly spread throughout the keep. The unfortunate thing was that she couldn't act before Raiden's announcement of the terms of the contract. That was a problem, for now there was a more solidified relationship between the two companies. Neena hesitated longer still, pouring wine as she watched Raiden leave the room. No. She would stay here for now. If Jynn was going to fight Raiden, then he would. If he wasn't, provocation from her might end rather poorly. So for now, serving the feast would have to do. Gelabrous ~ The Farmer ~ Avarice; The Market Gel kind of watched a little awkwardly as Helios spoke to the cat, arching an eyebrow at the whole scene. It was simply odd to Gel. Things had gotten rather swiftly odd and beyond anything Gel might have imagined. Helios waved the cat's paw towards them, and Gel kind of half-heartedly waved back. Not that he didn't like cats, or didn't like Helios, but you know. It was just kind of a whack thing. "I guess that's good Helios. Be nice to see some more of what's going on around here." Gel said with a nod. It was then that Aura and Aurion's conversation became present in his own mind. He listened quietly. Battles... an attack on Sondon that very well could mean the end of the country. The question came, and Gel looked about the group, seeking an answer. When none came, he spoke up. "I mean, if we go back, we might very well get caught up in it too. Henry is tough enough to take care of himself yes? Then again, how long has it been since you were supposed to meet him? Maybe it might be a good idea to backtrack." Cerberos ~ The Mercenaries ~ Mystras; Flowering Hyssop Did Swanson really pull that off? Ryonne watched in wonder as the Prince, theoretical prince anyway. The other man had already left the building, and Ryonne had personally thought that he looked more prince like than this angel-faced man who seemed far too content to be speaking with Swanson of all people. Ryonne walked up to Swanson, standing behind the Axe Collector, listening to the pitch. Swanson turned to look at his friend, a glint in his eyes that showed that he was fully confident in how things had gone. Swanson began to speak immediately, having already pocketed the coins, glad to have currency, but Ryonne interrupted him, intending to take over on this conversation. "You can call us Cerberos. Beyond that, well, we'll see if you get there. You have no need to worry about progress. It shall be done." Ryonne said, nodding his head deferentially towards the "prince". He began to pull Swanson away as he headed towards the door where Viridem stood. Swanson, as he was being taken away, gave a final wave towards Yevgeni. "Thank you again your highness!"

Kingdom Hearts: Vanguard Rebirth RP
Selvera's eyes went towards Vaner as he indicated that it was safe. For now. For now was definitely the operative in that phrase. The state the worlds were in, nowhere remained safe for very long. She began to look around more from her vantage point, taking all of it in. A younger boy who seemed quite energetic, a blond woman quiet and reserved, an older man dressed in large coats. He in particular struck her as odd, and she felt a tighter tie to him than to many of the others. He had the stubble, the scruffy hair of a man who had no home, like her. She continued to analyze them all, the fine gentlemen who'd come from the sky, the blond one had gone to get some coffee whilst the dark haired one watched the armored woman who'd gone to speak with Vaner carefully, cautiously. He seemed to have some sense, keep quiet and understand before doing anything further. Sel's thoughts were rather suddenly and rudely interrupted by a blue-haired man, who came in out of nowhere. "Easier to see simpletons like you from up here," Sel retorted swiftly, the compliment while not unwelcome, certainly had a time and place that was not right now. She did step down from the table, having forgotten to do so. "Soooo!" Nikolai declared loudly as he came back from the coffee bar, a steaming mug ready in his hands. "Are we gonna play a name game or something now? Wait a little bit longer perhaps? Who knows, someone might have gotten lost, don't want anyone losing out on valuable name game time." He jested easily, as he took a sip of the coffee. He nearly spat it out. It was really hot, and that had been kind of dumb to drink. But he recovered, and flashed a smile to all as he went to stand by. Hiroki meanwhile was engaged in watching Clarice, he'd overheard her name when she'd told it to Vaner. She was full of light, like many of the others here, but hers was harsher, crueler. Hiroki wasn't sure how she might react if she saw his darkness utilized. But that was a problem for another time. For now, things should be getting started soon.

Kingdom Hearts: Vanguard Rebirth RP
A portal appeared on a table of the First District cafe. Selvera stepped out, and stretched atop the table for a second, before then picking up the coin that had produced the portal. It vanished just as a ball of flame seemed about to shoot through the doorway between worlds. Selvera took a look about her surroundings, noticing the two people who seemed very at home, along with one who was speaking with them. Her eyes were drawn also to two people who approached question in their voices. Vanguard. Sel pulled out a piece of paper that had been folded and stuffed in her waistband. Yep. First District. Traverse Town. Vanguard. Sel looked back to the pair of new arrivals. "It'd be a real shame if some allies of darkness heard you say that huh?" She said, an eyebrow cocked at how easily they had given their purposes. It seemed to her that they ought to be more careful. Everyday more and more dangerous people came into the world. Who's to say one of them might not have stolen this piece of paper off of someone who'd actually deserved it. It was at that moment that a loud hovering motor sound came overheard, and a shadow covered the night sky. Thumps on the roof followed and then the shadow flew away, back up into the stars. A blond figure slid down the roof tiles then leaped off the edge of the cafe roof, doing a flip in the air, and landed on his feet. A bright smile on his face, Nikolai immediately began to talk. "Hello comrades! How are you this fine evening? This is the meeting for that whole Vanguard thing right? Good. That's why I'm here after all. Oh does this establishment have good coffee? Had a long commute, would love an energizer before we get to the whole kicking ass thing." Nikolai said, with a ready grin. A darker figure slid down the roof, then jumped down onto the ground behind Nikolai, no flip this time. Hiroki grumbled, "You do not need an energizer." Sel watched the debacle, then slowly shook her head. Just what had she said literally three seconds ago.... This might not be worth the work.
