I'm in Poetry Theory class and we're listening to round table discussions about a group's assigned topic. I wonder if I should pay attention.
Dracozombie repliedPoetry theory. They're talking about technique and using theories discussed in class. The group needs to discuss the topic and the rest of us are just kinda watching. My group's doing imagery and we're going next week. Joy.

Yesterday I learned not all community/volunteer service is created equally. The five hours I spent driving to and from my destination in heavy traffic, standing in front of a banner shouting at people to write their favorite food on it, and passing out markers, could have been spent in my archery club, doing my homework, working on a story, hanging with friends, hanging online, etc. And I get to do it again today.
Dracozombie repliedI wanted to prove I wasn't a deadbeat so I signed up for some volunteer work I got in an email. I think they send things like that en mass because they don't expect their volunteers to do anything actually important.
Dracozombie repliedAlso, they didn't have shirts in my size so I had to wear what was essentially a pillow case. I guess it's not enough to have a meaningless job; I also have to look like a dweeb.

If you don't want people discussing or debating something you said then maybe you shouldn't have said it at all. People talk about stuff. They give their two cents. That's what they do.
Dracozombie repliedMight depend on what's being said. Even I'm aware some people here just need a pick a fight, or some threads devolve into something completely unrelated to the post because of a certain poor word choice or whatever.

Can someone please make me feel better and say they prefer to focus on friendship and family-like dynamics in KH instead of putting any and all closeness among characters in a romantic context? Please?
Dracozombie repliedActually, debates on Kairi's strength (or lack thereof) as a character float around even taken out of the context of shipping. I don't ship Sora/Riku and I can still critique Kairi's role in the games. But, that's a debate for another time.
MyDixieRect repliedYeah, Riku's relationships are one's I'm particularly fond of. His friendships with Mickey and Sora are just far better than any potential romance. The Lea/Isa/Roxas dynamic is powerful too (don't care for Xion). All that being said I do hope Sora and Kairi become official by the end of the series.
