  1. Haven't cried yet, but Days got the closest with me somewhat choking up at Xion's death. Yes, even with the ice cream line.
  2. When you get down to it, KH in general has a habit of people supposedly being close friends not bothering to talk things out. Even Roxas/Axel/Xion, imo the most solid trio that actually feel like friends besides Sora/Donald/Goofy, wind up falling apart because of a lack of communication (though at least it's because there are awful truths involved). I like TAV but I honestly prefer seeing them in fanfiction and fanart rather than the actual games, where their friendship is condensed into the first few minutes and then they spend the rest of the game separated and getting into fights -- not really a lot of friendship going on there. And while we're on the subject of Ventus, he is honestly one of my least favorite characters, but only because we already have Sora and Roxas -- I don't really need someone who's essentially a blend of both.
  3. Oh no, it was definitely a Moogle ripoff. That Bleed ability seems pretty useful, but only if you couldn't tell that the blade is, like, two inches long.
  4. $2.00 for my very own keyblade from Harbor Feight Tools. Not bad. http://www.harborfreight.com/key-shaped-folding-knife-66837.html
  5. I don't necessarily mean compensation in money, but maybe some other kind of arrangement that would benefit you. But yeesh, if she's so tight for money then a great way to get more of it would be to first ditch that car for something more sensible. Go go materialism...
  6. That's what they want you to think.
  7. You're probably obliged to give her a hand as her brother, but if it's interfering with your studies then you'd need to work something out. Then again, it sounds like your sister is busy too with two other kids to look after. Would it be too bad to take a semester off to help her, and get some kind of compensation in return for dropping your own studies?
  8. I guess if we're on the subject of Twilight, for me it's vampires. I don't actually hate vampires themselves as much as I hate the overexposure compared to other supernatural things, and how they tend to be used more for sex appeal especially in paranormal romance over anything. Remember when people liked making vampires scary? Pepperidge Farm remembers. I'm more of a ghost fan myself, so that might contribute to things... not that ghosts themselves are used for much beyond being spooky scary, but that's a rant for another thread.
  9. Not much of a 'twist' since a lot of people predicted it, but the whole notion that Nobodies can grow hearts finally confirmed what a lot of fans figured, even if most of them were probably yaoi fanfic writers wanting an excuse to ship the Organization minus Larxene and Xion (because eww girl cooties). It's not my favorite twist because I considered it mind-blowing or anything, but it was relieving. Like, FINALLY we have an answer and the arguments are settled! Of course, it just started a new argument over whether the 'twist' was a good idea or not, but oh well. Personally I think it makes more sense that they do have hearts...
  10. More tragedy =/= character development. Roxas has enough reasons to be angsty and got, what, 2 and a half games doing just that (does Data-Roxas in coded count?). If anything, Roxas's character development would be giving him reasons to be happier, giving him a life and purpose of his own and asserting himself as someone besides a copy of Sora that shouldn't exist -- and actually succeeding. I don't think he needs to distinguish himself from Sora. To me he's already distinguished, and I thought that was the point to his character: he tries so hard to be his own person, and to viewers he seems to be doing a good job of it, and yet here's all these people telling him he's nothing but a shadow and to be a good boy and merge back with your 'real' self, because anything you feel (or think you feel) is irrelevant. And I'd say that currently, KH's plot wrote itself into a corner in regards to killing anyone off. In addition to how no non-Disney character has ever been shown to be permanently killed off, with all this attention given to saving all these nice people, killing them off would render all that work pointless. They're finally saved, just to die? And as stated before, Axel/Lea already died once; why not make it stick by having him stick around? There are other ways to move his and Roxas's development than by death. I've noticed that a lot of people who want a KH character to die only want it because they think it'll make the story more serious, not because it makes sense to the plot or anyone's development.
  11. My name itself isn't uncommon, but I'm hard-pressed to find my variation of the spelling. My parents just had to be fancy, and now I don't get my own coke bottle.
  12. Fantasy Finale, but since that's a cliche option, I'll say Pokermons... which is also cliche.
  13. See? There ya go! As far as I'm concerned, mission accomplished.
  14. So I didn't buy any KH merchandise from Anime Expo that I was willing to pay for, but I got a Pyramid Head. Close enough, right?
  15. If anyone's going to Anime Expo tomorrow, come hit me up. If you wanna find me, look for a girl with hair.
  16. It hurts just to sit up; you think I'm in the mood for any tailboning?
  17. To be fair, chocobo racing gets you some pretty nifty items for that whole world saving business. These guys have so much balls to be able to do this in public and have fun with it.
  18. No really, my tailbone is so sore that I do not want to leave this chair. You can't make me. I'll pee myself if it comes to that. (Okay, maybe not, but I still want my butt to remain where it is).
  19. For future reference, and honestly I didn't realize this for a long time: the monster formations determine which chocobo you'll find. If I recall, a wonderful chocobo is found in a formation of one or two rabbit things, I think.
  20. Was swimming in the ocean today and now my butt and tailbone hurt from constantly getting knocked down by the waves. What's the trick here? I saw kids who stabilized themselves better than I did.
  21. "Can ward off killer animatronics" is a great thing to put on the resume.
  22. Ahh, that wonderful "I don't have a job but now I have a job" feeling. 'Tis nice. Money is nice. Stuff is nice. Being able to buy your own stuff with your own money is nice.
  23. Yeah, the whole 'never ending' thing was one of the bigger culture shocks I had to deal with. You sorta get used to it, though.
  24. A nearly two decades long hunt has come to an end. Such closure.
