  1. I hope he reappears. And I wonder if there's any chance he could be redeemed. If you look at the novels, Xehanort was using Vanitas all along. His motivation for doing all the stuff he did was because he was sad for being separated from Ventus. Xehanort simply used his sadness to his plans, and misguided him into believing that becoming the X-Blade was his only way of salvation. Vanitas never had any happiness, all due to Xehanort's fault. He should have a chance of redemption.
  2. I didn't say the scene didn't need to be cut, I'm speaking of a three seconds close-up shot of an armor nodding to a game released only in Japan. The continuity nod only makes sense for Japanese audiences, and yet the scene is untouched in the English version, it's the same thing as having non-sequitors when a material has been cut. The only difference is that it didn't result in an unexplicable contituity error. The secret message wasn't altered in English, and that's about it. It wasn't cut simply because the localization team didn't see any reason to cut it, this doesn't automatically mean the ReMIX is going to be released outside of Japan, it just means that the localization team didn't see any reason to remove game content, and that's it, nothing more. If this collection gets released outside Japan (and I believe it will), it WON'T be because the Secret Message was not cut.
  3. Maybe because of the double screen. Remember that in some boss battles you see Sora's memories of fighting that Heartless in the bottom screen? This can't be done with just one screen. Although they could have a split screen for those boss battles, but it would be weird as the memory doesn't appear the entire battle, so you would end up having half of the screen with the battle, and alf of the screen empty, unless it's possible to have a full screen changing into a split screen. Or maybe it's just what Double Ultima said. So what? Do you honestly believe that they not removing the secret message automatically means they plan releasing it worldwide? No, it just means they didn't reomve it in the localization, and that's all. This kind of thing happens some times, but doesn't mean anything. For example, KH2FM added a cutscene where Xemnas talks to an armor. Then, in the end of BBS, they have a close-up of the armor as a way to say to KH2FM players: "this is the same armor Xemnas was talking with in the other game". Was this removed in localizations? No. In the end of Terra's story, it pretty much shows "so that's what that armor was doing there in KHIIFM". Was this changed in localizations? No, although this one is more of a plot point than a close-up of an armor. Other examples: In Pokémon, there's an episode where Satoshi (Ash) catches 30 Kentauros (Tauros), however, this episode was removed from the English version due to scenes involving guns. Where further appearances of satoshi's Kentauros removed? No. In Digimon, there's a character named Ryou Akiyama. He's the protagonist of his own game series for the WonderSwan, a console released only in Asia, composed of Digimon Adventure: Anode/Cathode Tamer, Digimon Adventure 02: Tag Tamers, Digimon Adventure 02: D-1 Tamers, and Digimon Tamers: Brave Tamer. His games were never released outside of Japan with exception of the first game being released in Hong Kong, however, he still made a cameo in Our War Game!, appeared in Ken's flashbacks in an episode of 02, which showed events of Tag Tamers, and was a regular character in Tamers. Was any of this removed in the English dub? No. We just got a situation where the origins of Ken's Dark Seeds/Spores are left unexplained anywhere outside of Japan, as that is only explained in Tag Tamers, Ryou's cameo in Our War Game! (or second part of Digimon: The Movie for American audiences) became a shot of a random person, Ken's flashbacks in 02 show "a random boy" in non-Japanese audiences' eyes, and his character in Tamers became confusing for any non-Japanese audience, as due to being from another universe (Brave Tamer shows him moving universes), he followed different rules, or so I heard, I don't remember this exactly in the show. Any person who watched Our War Game!, then 02, and then Tamers wouldn't notice he appeared in the former two, but if anyone rewatched them after watching Tamers, they would notice and be onfused about why Ryou is there, especially because Ryou's home universe (the Adventure and 02 universe) is fiction in the Tamers universe, something that the English dub explicitly says even though the Japanese version never mentions in the series (although the timeline in one of the writer's site says). Basically, the lack of Ryou's games outside Japan creates a mess for his character, but nothing about him is removed in the dubbed versions. I would give other examples... ...if those weren't literally all I know. "I like collecting trophies" doesn't seem strong enough to make a game be released in other countries. There are fans of Idolm@ster in many places of the world, yet, Bandai-Namco insists to keep the franchise Japan-exclusive. Look, I don't think the HD ReMIX will be Japan-exclusive, but the fact the Secret Message is intact in international releases isn't a good reason to think they plan a global release. There are rumors Versus XIII was cancelled and Square wants it to die quietly. But I just read a post by Uncle Dolan saying that rumor was proven false about a week after he posted about it. I'll search his posts later.
  4. Anything that is not fan-made counts, even if it's non-canon material. The PC Browser one, I doubt it to be plot relevant.
  5. V-CAST, Mobile, and For PC Browsers. No? Last time I checked COM introduced Organization XIII and Castle Oblivion, which became crucial plot points, and DDD had Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery exam, explained Xehanort's full plan, and made THAT big reveal, you know, the one about the heart, and that has been hinted since the times of KHIIFM, or KH if you count Ansem Report 8: 3D also brought the Dreaming Worlds, but we don't know if they will be important again. coded brought the Data-Scape, which is Maleficent's current goal, meaning it'll have some importance in KHIII. The only real spin-offs in the franchise are those three I mentioned in the beginning of this post.
  6. Well, they could have Midgar existing in the KH Universe and say Cloud lived there at some point between the destruction and restoration of Radiant Garden. However, I've read somewhere that Nomura said there won't be FF worlds in KH, but I still haven't read all the interviews, so I still don't know if someone made this up.
  7. In my opinion, it's either because there's some kind of force field preventing it, or the texture developers miscaled the bars. Assuming it's the latter, I hope this gets corrected if/when they make a HD Collection.
  8. Well, the secret message mentions the past will be reawakened. Maybe they could develop a HD Collection at the same time they develop KHIII. I mean, all they have to do is remake the steps done when producing the past games, and adapt them for the new platform, which would take less time then if they were literally developing completely new games, so they could get KHIII and the HD Collection released at the same time, or have the latter released with KHIIIFM.
  9. Sorry for reviving this, but I was too busy to answer this at the time this discussion was going. Yes, technically I don't. However, you're forgetting that remaking everything to a single is literally the only way of doing something about the series being spread over many different consoles. And how do you they don't have enough budget to afford this. How do you know this is what I want? I NEVER said I want remakes of the whole series, and I don't have any reason to want them, becaus BBS and 3D are only games I can't play, and if they remake everything to a single console, it would likely be either PS3 or Wii, and I don't have either of these. I'm not basing this theory on things "I want", but it's just how I interpreted his words. Also, Nomura is the highest person in this franchise, besides Disney.
  10. The only problem is that the letter is out of place in that context, since BBS's Secret Ending being about hope and the letter scene was about preparing for the next battle. Basically, it's incompatible with the emotion shown, just like it was in KHII. Do you see how pointless and contradictory such an argument is when the discussion is about which games will be in an HD Collection, which is strictly remaking games in HD? This point would be valid if you were trying to dismiss the possibility of a HD Collection in a thread discussing whether they are real or not, but it's useless when he explicitly said that a HD Collection is being researched. Basically, Nomura said "we are researching remakes", thus meaning he may have changed his mind. This may not be the first time, I have read in TVTropes that he said in an interview that Kairi wasn't a wielder but then in another one he said she was (I'm searching the interview archive to see if this is true or just misinformation. Help me if you know something). But who's going to buy an outdated console just to play specific games? That's why many games are being remade. In a handheld, when he said the series should be back to home consoles, and that he wants to do something about the series being spread in many consoles. The only way to do what he said is remaking everything. I'm basing myself on things he said, and everything points to every game being remade. Even KH3D may be remade someday.
  11. How?-It adds the Datascape. -It's revealed the King was in Traverse Town at same time as Sora. -We are shown a cutscene with Riku and Kairi in Never Land that seems to carry some importance, or hinting that something happened there. -It bring the question of whether or not a heart can be born in a life made of data. Nomura even said this is the main question of the game. And: -As of KH3D, Maleficent's wants the Datascape. It'll probably have a role in KHIII. -BBSFM's Secret Ending shows Donald and Goofy in Traverse Town in the same night. Additionally, the Secret Ansem Reports suggest that the King entered on the Realm of Darkness through Traverse Town. -BBSFM's Secret Ending shows Riku and Kairi agian in the Clock Tower. The first trailer ever for KH shows Riku in the Clock Tower, making me believe that a scrapped plot point is being brought back and it fits the current plot. Maybe if a HD Collection actually comes we'll see something more regarding that scene. -KH3D makes a big reveal about the heart that was hinted literally on every single game since KHIIFM and uses a concept that was literally introduced in the first game through the Ansem Reports. I can't be more specific without giving spoilers. Where?KH - Too Early. KHCOM - Again, too early. KHII - Correct time, but the cene doesn't fit with the emotion of the Ending. KHDays - It all takes place in the 358 days escept for the Ending scene, so it makes no sense putting it here. KHBBS - It's all about the past, so it doesn't fit here. KH3D - Too late. This scene only fits in coded, so it would only be shown in it, specially since that game ties Days and BBS. If it's because it adds little to the story, then COM also adds little to the story with even Nomura himself saying the game is not important (or at least I remember reading this somewhere). It became important, regardless, with elements of it's plot being alluded many times and it was hinted that the Datascape will have a role in KHIII. So, if coded is not worth it, then COM also isn't. Source? And also... Nomura stated he wants to do something about the games being spread over different consoles, and coded is a game, so is Days. And he also said he wish he could put analog control for Days, which has also the worst graphics in the series. Basically, everything points to Days and coded being in the HD Collection, if there's one. I can even see a KH3D HD remake released in the future, maybe together with KHIIIFM like happened with Re:COM. I just don't know how they would handle the 3D.
  12. But the PS2 and PSP belong to Sony, and they decide what they allow in their consoles. Basically, if Sony America's policy prevents an American version of the Final Mix, then there's nothing Square can do about it. I heard Sony America is very selective/picky when it comes to re-releases. I also have read a post somewhere on this forum that seems to imply Re:COM was not released on Europe because "Sony wants new content to justify re-release" (which doesn't make much sense to me since the original COM was in a Nintendo console). The lack of coded is what made me believe he was just guessing, but I never discarded the possibility of him happening to be right about a HD Collection announced on E3. By the way, when is TGS?
  13. Not necessarily. I heard Sony of America (or whatever it's the correct name) has a very iffy policy about re-releases, which probably caused all the Final Mixes to be Japan-exclusive. But KH3D is for a Nintendo console, and if you look at Pokémon, except for a few changes in the storyline and some new characters and locations, the third version is basically the same game as the two previous ones. This makes me believe that a KH3DFM would be released internationally, or maybe through a downloadable patch. Also, the American version (and probably also the European one) has a change in the Drop System. Do you think it would be in that downloadable patch the Japanese are getting, or that it's the first hint of a Final Mix?
  14. That should have been brought up on the other thread. Or you should have at least read the news on the front page and you would know it wasn't confirmed.
  15. Who's to say Days won't be remade? While I believe that he was just guessing, nothing stops the rumor from becoming true, specially since Nomura said he wanted to do something about the games bing spread on different consoles. We don't even have a confirmation that the HD Collection is real, but there are multiple threads about it on the forum.
  16. There are rumors. I think the Geno thing could be just his guessing due to th strange lack of coded, which I think there are people who think Re:coded is a remake of the first game (or at least that's what I could understand from ScrewAttack's video, I'll rewatch later). EDIT: However, there's a chance that he guessed right about the HD Remakes, about not necessarily on the consoles and the exact games. I see no reason to not include coded in the HD Collection.
  17. There's already a thread discussing this. Use that thread instead of creating new ones.
  18. Well, there's probably a reason Nomura brouht up th Datascape. While coded may have fulfilled it's role in the story, which originally led me to think that we would never hear of the Datascape anymore, I now think that the Datascape may be playable in KHIII with Data-Sora as a Party member (it would be funny to see what kind of Limit two Soras would bring out). Actually, I think that KHIII will include every original world from the series except End of the World (unless they pull a good excuse for this one. Maybe they would merge it with the World that Never Was).
  19. Just because she's not a thing doesn't mean she can't be reprogrammed. Replicas are artificial beings after all.
  20. A random disembodied voice that we hear for like four seconds in a cutscene and then never ever hear about it again, nor holds any importance to the story do is barely a character. Actually, it's NOT a character, it's just an extra (or even less).
  21. Is Ansem the Wise a main or a secondary character? Because if he is a main one, that just kills my theory that he's Master Xehanort's son.
  22. Yeah, he either faked or regained the memories later.Finding his past self is not a problem, you can only go to times and places where you existed, so he would only go through time, without worrying about space, and then he's there with his younger self. Well, you lose your memories of time traveling after you get back to your timeline, so he couldn't have known after going back.
  23. Well, you can only go to times and places where you exist, so it's not unreasonable to say that "Ansem" just traveled enough years to find him.And he knew about Xehanort's plan because he IS Xehanort and has his memories. We still don't know if the amnesia was faked or not, or I at least don't know, I haven't seen all the cutscenes.
