  1. What... What the Donald Duck? How... can they just put up a strategy like this? Seriously, if I were trying to promote my own videogame console, I wouldn't try to make anyone trade another console for it. When I make to my own console, I'll promote it by making good games for it instead of going "hey look, hey look, hey look!! This is a pentakillion times better than PlayStation and Xbox!" or "did you know the Xbox can cause brain collapse?" or anything aimed at difammating my competitors or putting more fire in the console wars. Seriously, this kind of strategy seems aimed to hardcore "game consoles are religion and you can only pick one" fans, but even then, why would a Sonyist simply convert to Xboxism out of the blue?
  2. Watch the next KHIII trailer having Vanitas meeting Sora as the first thing shown. Well, Ventus survived. Maybe Vanitas survived as a side-effect of Ventus surviving. We know that the heart connection thing influenced Vanitas enough to change his face. And if Ven's heart could react in a way that made Vanitas overlay Xehanort for a second, then maybe it could also mean that Vanitas is still around. It wouldn't be the first time a scene has more than on meaning. I'm sure we'll see Vanitas again in KHIII. Nomura's statement about KHIII being a summation of everything in the franchise so far, seems to me like he's also willing to bring Vanitas back, or using the Unversed, which would require bringing Vanitas back.
  3. Wasn't because of copyright reasons and they wanted people to only see that by playing the game? Also, being an HD collection doesn't stop them from trying. BBSV2 doesn't need to be long, in fact, the timespan of the first game and the time difference for the Realm of Darkness would already put restrictions on the size of the story. The problem, though, would be the other nine years before KH, which, depending on how it's dealt with (and they could timeskip sometimes), could make the time difference look exaggerated, and would bring the question of "why didn't it pass an entire year/why did it pass so few time in the Realm of Light when Sora and Riku were at the Dark Margin?". Even considering that Sora and Riku weren't in the Realm of Darkness, they were so close to it that there must have been some time difference.
  4. Is he? If I remember correctly, Nomura said Vanitas doesn't neccessarily have a physical form, so he could be alive in some way.
  5. Honestly, I think the reason we still don't have a release date is because they may be working on that Birth by Sleep -Volume Two- to add it to KH2.5. I mean, would it really take that much to make BBSv2? Just reuse the BBS engine and models, then make a short plot like the one in coded and done, a game that is less time-consuming to make than the others in the franchise.
  6. Vanitas is not an Unversed. Fake Keyblades don't count. The Mimic Master uses fake Keyblades. It's implied Ansem can't wield a Keyblade. Riku even explicitly says "you've lost the Keyblade". Also, Xemnas's Keyblade would have been useful for completing Kingdom Hearts. It's theorized he didn't use it to not be pressured by the other members, or that his Keyblade was being used as a marker for hearts to gather and form Kingdom Hearts. It isn't. Only a part of the Foreteller's script connects to KHIII. Heartless are hearts. They are called "Heartless" because they are mindless beasts who have no emotion, intelligence, or sense of self. The Ansem Reports leave this explicit. Irrelevant to whether they can wield a Keyblade or not. The Lingering Will has no heart (explicit statement from Nomura) and can wield a Keyblade. It's pretty much implied in the series that anything that has a piece/is made of a Keyblade wielder (Lingering Will is made of Terra's thoughts, Vanitas is Ventus's darkness, and Young Xehanort got temporarily possessed by his future self) can wield a Keyblade, with the biggest indicator, and also the closest we have from an explicit confirmation, being when Xehanort states Vanitas's Keyblade "isn't his to wield". Therefore, a Nobody of a Keyblade wielder can wield a Keyblade even before growing a heart.
  7. I stil want to know how a Shaun is not possible.
  8. "Shaun! Shaun! Shaun!" "I'm afraid that's not possible." What do you mean "a Shaun is not possible"?
  9. Honestly, besides playing Kairi's training, I also had the idea (literally today, at morning) that we could play as Young Xehanort in the start of the game. Something like, how he came across the Keyblade and all.
  10. Except Nomura has no control on any release date outside of Japan. Okay. Doesn't change the fact that the "one release per year" promise is only valid for Japan, as Nomura probably has no control over any foreign release date.
  11. I think the only way it will not be released in 2015 is if they don't finish it in time, and Nomura has said he's trying to get the game out as fast as possible. I also heard somewhere that nowadays it's easier to make quality games in less time and with less effort. Non-Japanese releases don't count. Stop bringing this list up.
  12. They said, though, that the production of 2.5 is going much better than 1.5. Plus, this is the team that made BBS, so they have the know-how needed. What do you mean lazy? Please, remember KH1.5 was made by only two people. There is a limit to how much you can do with such a short team.
  13. Yes. Nomura seems to be willing to give a happy ending to anyone who deserves. I think even Young Xehanort will get some kind of happy ending: The Xehanort Reports mention Xehanort releasing his armor in the Lanes Between and letting a ton of darkness in him, and I think the idea behind that Report was that he wasn't evil before that happened. Plus, Ben Diskin said he was instructed to voice him as "not evil, but ambiguous. We don't know if he's evil or if he's considering he doesn't like who he becomes", so I think at the end of KH3, when Young Xehanort has to go back to his era to fulfill his fate, the Key to Return Hearts will transfer a piece of his heart to a newly made body and give him a second chance at life.
  14. How about the Destiny Island's town? Sora, Kairi, and Riku should have a meeting point, and the Destiny Island would be a good place. Not to mention we would finally have it being fully playable. Alternatively, Radiant Garden or a new town. The best I can think that Twilight Town could offer of crucial is the Old Mansion, which I believe to be the top section of the Land of Departure's castle which broke off and went flying into that portal of darkness. Including the End of the World? Do you want The World that Never Was and the End of the World to have the same amount of screentime as Destiny Island, Radiant Garden, Traverse Town, Twilight Town, Land of Departue/Castle Oblivion, and the Keyblade Graveyard? Speaking of which, will the End of the World have any role whatsover? I honestly doubt it will.
  15. Dude, Xehanort is a penta-killion years too young to be the sixth apprentice. The Foretellers are just meant to remind us of Xehanort without actually being connected to him. If you read the translation, the Foretellers' master "bestowed them with new names" just like Xemnas gave new names to the Organization members. This is simply following a theme of "history repeating itself", which, if I remember correctly, is confirmed by Xehanort himself when he mentions "history repeating itself" at one point in the games (I can't remember when, though). By the way, the Xehanort Reports seem to imply Xehanort wasn't evil until he let a ton of darkness enter him when he removed his armor in the Lanes Betweem. Tied with Ben Diskin saying he was instructed to voice Young Xehanort as not particularly evil, and who could be considering he doesn't like who he becomes, I would say that Young Xehanort is not evil and is probably doing what he's doing because he can't change fate and thinks there's no hope for him.
  16. GameFreak travels the world because they make fantasy geography based of real geography. But Square just makes a world of multiple worlds based of Disney movies and all the "k00l" things in Nomura's head. There's no reason they would be researching Western culture in the first place when every Western thing they need is already in the Disney movies.
  17. And...? How do you know they are aware that it doesn't have the same meaning in the Western world? If you go read any anime and manga, you still see Western characters not calling their older siblings by name even though in the West the norm is calling is older siblings by name. It's simply a matter of assuming "this has the same meaning in every part of the world", which is widespread in humanity.
  18. Except the Keyblade War happened thousands of years before the games, and their Master is only one generation older than them. There's no way he would be the one. If anything, I think Xehanort may be a descendant of him or something like that since his Keyblade has an animal head like the Foreteller's Keyblades, but even this is a stretch, and may turn out wrong since this franchise ignores any kind of blood lineage for the original characters. Also, why do people think Eraqus and Xehanort's Master will ever be relevant to anything in the story? It is simply the man that trained them, and the only reason he is mentioned at all, is because they need to have been trained by someone.
  19. Didn't Nomura say the Master Keeper in the trailer was just symbolic? I can't remember what he said about it, but I think it was something about reminding the player where the story starts or something like that. Anyway, there are theories at KHInsider that the Master Keeper is a Keyblade of Hearts, and that its chosen wielder is actually the Land of Departure itself, but since a world doesn't have limbs, the bearer is the succeeding guardian of the world. They use the fact that Aqua was instructed to use specifically the Master Keeper to change the land as evidence of it being at least a special Keyblade, and the fact that it didn't change appearance in Aqua's hands as evidence of it not being a person-bound Keyblade, but one that is passed down from Master to Master, and some wonder then how Eraqus's true Keyblade looks like. They also noted that the Keyblade didn't dematerialize when Eraqus let it fall, and that in the trailer Sora picked it up in a very similar way to how he picked the Keyblade of People's Hearts in KH. An user said that, even with the meaning of the scene in the trailer being revealed, it is suspicious that the first shown scene is Sora picking the Master Keeper up. I'm not sure how much I believe in the se theories. At most, I'm willing to give a chance to the theory that the Master Keeper is a special Keyblade. Nomura seems to be willing to give a happy ending to anyone who is not evil in KH3. I'm pretty sure he's coming back.
  20. As I long as I'm able to get enough money to buy a PS4 by then, become fluent in Japanese, have a YouTube account, and be one of the first people to make a subtitled walkthrough in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, I'm okay with it.
  21. Though Nomura mentioned interest in the X-Box Smartglass, so anything they make with PS4's touchpad can be easily adapted to the Smartglass. I know the Smartglass is a separate hardware, but they could add configuration options for those features to work with or without it in the X-Box version.
  22. Though I think it could be KHIII's first story trailer and/or the new scenes in Re:coded's HD movie.
  23. Excuse me, what do you mean confirmed? IMDb is just a site anyone can edit and sometimes lists unsourced voice actors for characters (ex.: Many extra voices from Digimon don't seem to have official confirmation that the actor voiced the character the site claims to have), unlike Wikis which usually source, or should source, their info. This seems like someone started a page just for the sake of having a page and added voice actors just for the sake of listing voice actors without anything about the cast being even revealed. Actually, why do they even allow "rumored" info when not even serious Wikis allow that?
  24. How do you know they aren't already rushing? Actually, are we sure rushing KHIII would be so bad as it usually is with games? KH3D was a last minute decision (even if he had some of the ideas during BBS's development), as they said in an interview, if I remember correctly. But KHIII probably already had something planned as early as 2012. We already know KHIII will start with a search for the Key to Return Hearts, and we know it'll end with a battle between seven heroes and thirteen Xehanorts. Everything they need to do is write a good middle, and we already know the middle will involve saving a lot of people. Nomura has been slowly planning KHIII for years, is it really difficult to make it good when you already have years of planning? As for gameplay, well, from the interviews, I get the impression that the gameplay development is going at a humongous speed. Nomura has already mentioned the possibility of multiple characters being playable. Honestly, I think it'll be like "You got plot point A, now you must play as B character for a small time" or "C event happened, now you must play as D for a boss battle" (ex.: Xehanort tries to kidnap Kairi and you must play as her and fight Xehanort to escape, or Isa attacks Radiant Garden/Twilight Town/Traverse Town/Hundred Acre Wood and you must play as Lea). Maybe even the tutorial will be Kairi's training or a new character in a mysterious mission which purpose is only revealed way later in the game.
  25. Source? If the Key to Return Hearts can create bodies for Roxas, Xion, and Naminé, who says it can't make the same for Terra? In fact, I doubt Terra will get his body back, and I think it's more likely that they will create a new body for him, to where his heart wil be transfered. And? Read what I responded to the previous quote. No. He said specifically that one of the highlights of the climax will be who is part of the seven lights and thirteen darknesses. So I guess we'll have a lot of important characters in the game, and we'll have to guess which twenty of them are the ones. Personally, I already have a guess on the seven, but it currently doesn't account for whatever new main characters may be introduced in KH3. I think that the seven will contain one representant from each group. 1- Sora - Representing the Destiny Island trio 2- Mickey - Representing the Disney trio 3- Xion - Representing the Twilight Town trio. Also, I think it would have a lot of significance if Xion, not Lea, would be the one to save Isa, as in "I know you only see me as a tool, but you're still Axel's friend, and I'll save you because of that" 4- Terra - Representing the Land of Departure trio. And he was the most affected by Xehanort's actions Now the other three are where it gets tricky. First, let's remember that Nomura that the lights aren't neccessarily wielders. For now, my random guesses (which may be updated later) for these are: 5- Adam (Beast) - He's the only Disney prince with the power to move between the worlds. And even if he's not a light, I still think he'll play a large role because of Belle 6- Ansem the Wise - Even if not a fighter, his data is part of the key for saving everyone else. No one said the seven lights have to be fighting, only that they would be used to forge the χ-blade. 7- Vanitas - "Even in the deepest darkness, there's always a light that never goes out", having Vanitas becoming good would be a literalization of this phrase. Also, the novels state that he a sad and painful life after birth, and only did the things he did because Xehanort said becoming the χ-blade would his only way of salvation. And while Nomura stated the novels are canon (according to Flaming Lea, but I haven't found the interview yet), he said he sometimes takes ideas from them. Plus, when Xehanort describes Vanitas to Terra, he says that he is "an abomination beyond hope of salvation". Regardless of novel canonicity, the use of the word "salvation" sounds a bit suspicious to me, as it implies there's something to be saved. Also, how about proving Xehanort wrong? Other alternatives for my list are: -Kairi instead of Sora, as she would represent both Destiny Island and the Princesses of Heart -Young Xehanort somewhere. Ben Diskin said he was instructed to voice young Xehanort ambiguously because "people are different when they are younger from when they are older, and we do not know if Xehanort is already evil of if he's considering that he doesn't like who he becomes". Since these orders actually came from the Japanese staff, I don't think this part will be ignored. Someone suggested in another post that maybe he'll go like "I cannot change fate, nor what has already happened. But I can stop it now!" Perhaps in the end, after the final battle, Sora will use the Key to Return Hearts to create a new body to where the young Xehanort transfers a part of his heart, so that he can be saved and have a second chance, while at the same time returning to his era to complete his fate. I mean, Nomura seems to be willing to give a happy ending to anyone who deserves, and if the young Xehanort is really not evil, then it would have a bad taste to just have him be forced to go back to his era and become evil with no kind of hope. -Riku Replica? Isa? Now for the thirteen darknesses, it gets even trickier. We don't know what other people are evil besides the ones explicitly shown to be in the true Organization. Nomura said there could be familiar faces among them, but that could mean anything. Remember when he said Vanitas's identity was familiar? Well, in the end he wasn't any known character in disguise, just personified darkness who inherited Sora's face. I don't think the members 9-12 of the original Organization have anything to do with it. Demyx, was just a lazy dumb, Marluxia and Larxene tried to take over the Organization, and Luxord... I don't know. He didn't seem to have any big role in their plans, but if the claim that Nomura stated Luxord to be his favorite member, this could be the only reason why he lasted so long. Vanitas is a common theory, and I'm sure he'll come back. But if Nomura intends to redeem him, he can't be a darkness. Aqua's armor? A bit of a stretch, but if Terra could make his armor come to life by accident, then Xehanort could probably do the same on purpose, given he knows a lot about the secrets of the universe. Master Xehanort's Nobody? That is, if the body left behind by Xehanort at the end of BBS could, indeed, become a Nobody. Then there are the surprises. Nomura said there could be unexpected members in both sides. That means, someone we wouldn't expect to redempt being a light (ex. Vanitas and/or Young Xehanort), and someone we didn't expect to side with Xehanort to actually do. There seems to be no known character in the latter category. I mean, why would Nomura just suddenlt make any of the current heroes into villains? The best I can think would be Norting the Lingering Will since that thing barely has a personality of its own and currently doesn't have anything that can make the players sympathize with him. The only way to make surprise evil members work would be if they introduced a new character that seems to be good (or at least ambiguous), but is actually evil. This is why I think KHIII will introduce a bunch of new characters: To allow such surprises, specially if any other current, unknown member of the Organization eventually betrays Xehanort.
