  1. But the main focus is clearly on the platforming aspect. (I'm not overly fond of platformers, especially when they put too much emphasis on it in a mixed-genre game, which is why SPM was a major turn-off for me.)
  2. Super Paper Mario isn't an RPG, why do people keep calling it one?
  3. It's amazing how people keep making things far more complicated for themselves than ever intended.
  4. They'll betray each other and it'll be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
  5. I actually asked this on another forum a while back, and the answer I got was, and I quote, "It is suspected that the game first loads the text in Japanese then loads in English during the various loading screens throughout the game", which baffles me due to the apparent technical incompetence involved on the part of the programmers or localisers or whoever; why keep the unnecessary stuff (in this case, the Japanese audio/text/etc. files) when it's only going to slow down the game?
  6. Nomura is a huge Kain fanboy (and you can tell by his role in Dissidia 012, even wanted him to be Cecil's "Chaos" counterpart in the original); I don't think the resemblance between he and Riku are a coincidence.
  7. She's most likely a puppet/mouthpiece [for what reason, I wouldn't know] for Jonathan McIntosh (who quite frankly is a self-hating lunatic).
  8. >TheGamersJoint oh hey it's mister clickbait again And no, it was not meant to be playable, it was only there for cutscene and testing purposes. Soul Eater was used in the opening sequence against Ursula, before gaining proper control of Riku, so there's that (on a slightly related note, the Keyblade/s used during TWTNW reality shift also has stats that can't be seen without hacking).
  9. You can't find them in the field, they don't have Nightmare variants. Try doing any special portal (the red ones) on Sora's side of TWTNW, they have a chance of dropping the things when you complete them.
  10. The voice actors only know as much as the fans (until they actually start recording, and that tends to be one of the last processes). This is just grasping at straws.
  11. The "will" (probably better translated as thoughts) is not the soul, even the Japanese differentiates the two (思念 shinen for will, 魂 tamashii for soul/spirit). The Vanitas Remnant (ヴァニタスの思念) is a type of creature akin to the Lingering Will (留まりし思念), made more clear in its journal entry ("A physical manifestation of what remained of Vanitas's powerful thoughts and feelings.") and JP name.
  12. 1st: See edit to my first sentence. 2nd: I meant what I said. No-one's stopping you from wanting such a thing, but I doubt the series is going to take such a direction any time soon. 3rd and 4th: I said influenced, not Disney-dominant (and I'm the last person you'll see wanting more Disney intervention than is already there for this series). Disney likes using all sorts of classical themes in their stories (again, the aforementioned light/dark dichotomy, and there are reasons why that's stuck so long in the public consciousness), so it's natural to see such themes in KH. I never said Eraqus's behaviour was excusable, but his core beliefs (wanting to prevent the destruction of existence) were certainly better than Xehanort's. If Xehanort ever had a genuine wish for what he perceives as balance, it has long since been corrupted, because his actions throughout the series only show the behaviour of someone willing to destroy everything for his own selfish desires.
  13. 1st paragraph: what? And if you're implying I thought "Disney is childish", no, it was "Disney likes classical themes and is more likely to use those". 2nd: then go write a letter to the developers or something, though I doubt you're going to be successful. 3rd and 4th: this series has already mentioned the balance thing several times, but the classic dichotomy tends to prevail whenever we're talking about a Disney-influenced product (why do people keep ignoring the bold). Eraqus still had good intentions at his core, even if his fanaticism about it was bad. You can't say the same for Xehanort, or most darkness users (Riku being the exception, not the rule). Whatever games you're thinking of may have their own take on it, but I'm not discussing those, I'm discussing KH only.
  14. Just because darkness isn't necessarily evil, doesn't mean it's something to mess around with (and it's much more likely to draw evil users due to its inherently dangerous nature). It took Riku nearly two years to come to terms with his issues regarding the dark, and most simply don't want to take that risk. Also, it's a Disney game, of course the standard light-good/dark-bad dichotomy is going to be dominant.
  15. Old age didn't stop Xehanort from curb-stomping the BBS trio.
  16. He said that over a decade ago. The situation has changed, he can't exactly afford to stay idle any more.
  17. you are literally know your meme levels of unfunny
