  1. If that were to occur, the information held on those disc would be powerful enough to slay god.
  2. D-links are the equivalentof drive form, both are OP, require orbs to fill up gauge, and can instantly replenish health, while giving you access to abilities you wouldn't normally have.. And moves such as salvation and the like are essentially limits except not drawn out with cutscenes and button mashing, the only gripe I can relate with is the shotlock mechanic, but other than that the rest of the mechanics are essentially KH2 mechanics without the flash, so to state that they make the game too easy during exploration compared to 2 is to say the exact same thing for KH2 making your argument redundant.I'm not going to try and convince you that the deck command is better, because that is purely subjective to the player and their play style, but the benefits of the deck system out weigh the benefits of an MP bar. With the command menu, yes you have access to all of your abilities, but you only have quick access to four of them, and that's if you're not using items in your quick select, with the deck command, all of the abilities that suit you as a player for you're preferred style of play, be it magic only, combination of physical and Magic, whatever is there for you to decide. And it also allows for a quick select for that one moment where you need that ability instantly without a second to wait. the time it would take to scroll through from attack to magic to the magic you want to use, I would have already have used three of my abilities depending on the frames used. Also, when it comes to healing, separating the act of healing yourself and preventing you from using any other ability was a step in the right direction in my opinion, the MP bar being instantly drained forcing you to wait to even use other abilities, though a good way to add tension to fights in say KH1, we have kind of moved past that system with recent games.Though to be honest I'm just hoping for a combination of KH2 and BBS gameplay, deck commands with KH2 combos, and hopefully some drive form specific deck commands
  3. Lea has proved himself to be capable, he has shown his strength of heart even when he wasn't even meant to have one, he has gained a strong heart through his trials, aka character development. You just answered your own question with the trials that sora and riku went through to get their respective keyblades, though sora was lucky(maybe?) to get his, he rightfully earned it by showing his strength of heart, same goes for riku between CoM and KH2 by risking everything to protect a friend while he slept. Yes, kairi's status as a PoH of heart wasn't brought up in KH2, actually something even worse was used to make her relevant, the fact that she was sora's special one and the organization could use her to make sora do what they wanted. Hell id rather them kidnap her because she was a PoH than reduce her to damsel in distress because of love, but yeah she hasn't really proven that she has a strong heart unless being a PoH comes with it, which would again define her by her status. Honestly, the only things of note that she herself has done was instead of waiting on the island for sora and riku to return she decides to go look for them instead, seeing past riku's ansem form and reuniting him with sora, and.... I think thats it, i would like to say jumping into the corridor of darkness unafraid, but she is a PoH after all, wouldn't really effect her none. Would be like superman jumping into a pool of lava, might seem courageous to the normal man, but supes could probably eat the stuff and just have bad gas. Where as lea jumped into the CoD knowing full well that it could effect him, yet he had to go. But anyway, she is a plot mcguffin, that fact cant be denied, will she be that in KH3, like i said, hopefully not, but she is definitely going to need a character overhaul.
  4. See, you're speaking in definitives again, how are you going to decide what kingdom hearts wants. Also, you have still not given me any conclusive proof that kingdom hearts, the heart of all things including YX's, doesnt have a role in decideing what exactly IS destined to happen, you can't, unless you are nomura behind that tiny screen typing away, you can't definitively tell me what kingdom hearts is capable of in its entirety.
  5. I personally don't hate Kairi, but she is an example of why people like...never mind I'm not even going to poison this part of the Internet with that name. Anyway, Kairi being a plot mcguffin is most people's main gripe with her, she, as a person, doesn't contribute to the story, only her status as a POH does. When a character is defined by their status rather than the character themselves, everything they do means nothing really because their status is what gets them there, I mean look at her right now, why else would yen sid want to train Kairi, she hasn't done anything of note to prove she is capable of being a keyblade wielder, but what is she? A PoH, something she just naturally has as a status. She didn't go through the trials that sora and Riku did to obtain, or reobtain their keyblades...she was handed one like it was a piece of candy.I'm sorry about ripping on your favorite character, but I feel that people should know both sides of an arguement. I for one hope she does get character development, but I severely doubt we will get to see so much that it will be justifiable without taking up huge chunks of cutscenes that would be better dedicated to other things.
  6. Thank for it didn't get canceled; how else would I have been able to get the FFXV demo.
  7. well technically everyone can relate to Kairi, everyone has had those moments where we just lay in bed and don't do anything all day, I know I do.
  8. I literally just explained how they would still meet up and how the events in the series would still have happened, it's called a soft reboot for a reason. With the world no longer divided, there would no longer be a need for a gummi ship to travel, one could easily go from radiant garden to destiny islands or twilight town, whatever. Also with sora being the one to alter time he would be the one to remember all of the events that lead to him fusing with KH, much like how in almost every fictional story where time is altered, the one doing the altering will remember the events that lead to said departure into the time stream. This entire idea works off the plausibility of kingdom hearts being the entity that decides destiny, and if it can, then most likely it can alter said destiny to its whim. With that said, sora would be able to make it so that all of the trios SKR, TVA, RAX(N) are destined to meet, maybe not in the same capacity that they did in the original timeline, but they will still meet each other just without all of the baggage that drove them all apart. If you want a perfect example, look at Xmen days of future past almost the definition of a soft reboot, all of the events from xmen 1-3 has happened, wolverine can attest to that, he personally experienced them and brought memories of those events with him into he new timeline, so they happened, no one can deny him that truth, but in the new timeline even without Stryker or magneto being the guys who brought these characters together to be there, they still wound up where they were supposed to be, in the mansion; and all of the characters are with their respective loved ones, even those who had a relationship due to events within the trilogy. So anyway, if you are honestly going to try and tear down this theory you're going to have to give definitive proof that kingdom hearts IS NOT in charge of destiny, and since you can't, my theory is plausible. Good night sir/madam.
  9. Meh, if Riku didn't already do it in 3d it'd be interesting. But right now it would just be there just to show off Kairi's growth in ability...probably not her personality though
  10. how is kingdom hearts not a living being, or Atleast sentiant when it is the heart of everything, and the world's themselves have shown to be capable of sentiantance? You're saying things as if they are definitive when kingdom hearts by all definitions of the word has not explicitly shown what exactly it is capable of in terms of feats, you have nothing to base its powers on other than what xehanort wants it to be and what it has been seen doing such as eradicating ansem SoD, after that, it's up in the air as to what the limits of kingdom hearts abilities are. Also, like I just described, the events that made those characters friends would have created a bond in their hearts and that even if those events themselves didn't happen, the memories/bonds that were formed will still be there, we've seen the concept of memories being erased, yet bonds still being there multiple times, it's not out of the question. And it doesn't matter how sick of the idea you are, it doesn't make it any less of a possibility.
  11. I was under the impression that the keyblade graveyard is the remnants of daybreak town
  12. Yes there are rules regarding time travel, but in regards to the changing events that are destined to happen, what better entity is there to decide what exactly IS destined to happen than kingdom hearts itself, the seeming god of the KH universe. With destiny being decided by kingdom hearts in play, all of the other rules in time travel are still validated. But Young xehanort wouldn't be the one to go back in time, it would be Sora fused with kingdom hearts, and that entity would be allowed to change things due to plausibility of it being able to alter destiny. And if evil xehanort were taken out of the time stream, it wouldn't completely disrupt the KH universe as we know it, like I said, sora will reformat the world so that it is no longer divided, there will be no need for terranort to send Kairi to DI, she could travel there with her own to feet. But another thing is that even though sora would reformat the world so that evil xehanort didn't have anything to do with, all of the characters would retain their memories or Atleast thier "bonds" and would still be able to be with with their closest friends, the BBS trio, though xehanort didn't drop Ven on eraqus doorstep would still find their way to each other, something sora, as a kingdom hearts fused entity, can make destined to happen. Kairi can one day travel to DI on a whim meet Sora and remember the bond that they shared. So pretty much the entirety of the KH story happened, just none of the tragedies that made those characters seperate will be remembered, only the fact that they are friends so to speak.
  13. Since time travel will most likely be a major component of the story in KH3, should we assume that there is some grand scheme revolving around the concept that nomura is waiting to unleash on us, or is it just a cop out to keep the story "fraîche". To be honest, after pondering about how this concept can come to a head and actually benefit the story somewhat, I've come to the conclusion that maybe the ending of KH3 will lead us to a soft reboot. I'll explain how the story can progress to make this occur later, but right now I want to discuss how this will be a good thing for the series. As it stands there are TOO MANY characters within the KH universe that are really important, to the SoD saga Atleast, so to drag all of those characters into the next saga where we will have to meet new people and new foes will just make the game too convoluted (character wise), but with a soft reboot, most of those characters will still be around, but none of the events that hurt them in this saga will carry over (will it hurt their characterization, yeah, but you have to break some eggs in order to get to the juicy meat in the back of the fridge) there importance will be downplayed somewhat and we can move on from them. For this soft reboot to take place I believe that for the most part what must definitely happen is for YX too be turned good after no longer accepting YMX views, we, the players, will still be able to kick the crap out of MX, but after all is said and done, YX returns to his timeline and grows up to actually be a good person (and maybe end up training sora for the next saga) this is where the time travel concept can actually be a good thing, we both defeat the main villain of the series and make it so that he never exist o begin with. Now another way I can see this going down is sora and co beat the thirteen, but KH is still awakened yada yada sora beats MX, but instead of just leaving things at that, sora decides to pull an Ansem SoD and discards his body becoming nothing but a heart, after that he merges with kingdom hearts and since he is one with it he will be able to travel to any point in time in which KH existed...essentially anytime in the history of he universe, he travels to the keyblade war era, prevents that, travels to YX time and erases the etches in his heart that would lead to MX, and, since xion, Namine, and roxas are a part of him he would be able to remake them in this new world that wasn't divided by the keyblade war and everyone gets too live happily ever after...until the next saga Atleast. It might sound complicated, but it's the only grand scheme I can think of when it comes to the entirety of the KH story in which tolime travel won't be a simple cop out.
  14. but he is a terrible son, left his dinner sitting there for over a year after his mom slaved over he stove, and didn't even try looking/thinking about his parents the entirety of KH-KH2
  15. I second this recommendation, game was fantastic, was like a love letter to old school RPGs
  16. Most if not all of Star Wars main themes have been in kingdom hearts in regards to the dark and light, it would be interesting to see, but the main theme of SW would just conflict with KH main themes in regard to dark and light. SW characters all think alongside eraqus, so to have sora be around those types of people for an hour deconstructing everything sora has taught himself about the world and darknesses place in it, it would just be weird. And to have sora convince Luke and the others to accept darkness would yet again just conflict with the main theme of the seperate mythos. Granted Luke in the EU does accept the dark side in some of its teachings, but since that is no longer canon and now that Luke is some wandering hermit who contributes nothing to the Galaxy anymore...,but anyway as for the marvel idea,...nick fury commanding FF characters

If you're refering on he dark souls series then yes, in a way Freja is seath, but seath's soul isn't a directly translation from body to body, the soul simply guides the new body to do things the way seath would have done them
  18. Now that I think about it(I know the gauge increases to much more than that) but 100 is actually a solid representation of what sora would be in the DBZ universe, seeing as he the only thing that he has done which would require an extreme amount of strength would be cutting skyscrapers. In DB goku was barely able to push a huge ass Boulder 20 feet and he had a power level of 10-15 at the time. I forgot what was mentioned in that one movie pamphlet that discussed goku's power level throughout DB, but he was definitely in the lower hundreds during the 2nd world martial arts tournament arc. Since magic isn't taken into account when it comes to power level, the magic within both sora and the keyblade cannot be counted, not that it's wouldn't be helpful in a fight between them, but it would not add to his overall power level. I would also like to describe what goku would be like if he were in the KH universe, sorry, I was actually thinking about this on my drive home, but first things first, goku would be a replica of Ven in terms of alignment seeing as goku does not have an ounce of darkness in his heart. He is on POH level of purity, and not only that he would be able to summon the powers of darkness without all of the backlash, since super saiyan requires a serene heart awakened by rage. So not only would he be light incarnate, but he would also be able to use darkness to its upper limits without being tempted by it. I'm going to try and stay as close to DB as possible and try not to bring SSJ and SSJG, and instead focus on goku from the 2nd martial arts world tournament, but I will throw in the inevitablility of flight and such...actually I'll just stick with characterization rather than powers. Anyway, goku would trollop sora in the characterization department on all levels that Sora's character is based off of, goku is much more righteous and kindhearted than sora, don't get me wrong sora is like the epitome of what it means to be a decent human being, but goku is just a natural positive force who is explicitly devoid of all evil or darkness. Goku would also probably have a better time being "the key that connects everything" where sora can become friends with anyone he meets, goku can do that as well AND convert beings who are "evil incarnate" to good, he has to use the dragon balls in two of those situations, but that just goes to show how kind hearted and righteous he is, that he would use a wish that would grant him anything in the world just to bring someone back to life and give them a second chance at it. Where as sora was being pretty greedy when contemplating what he would wish for in agrabah, though it was for the sake of his friends, he did have something to gain from it. Pretty much if goku was in Sora's shoes,... It would actually be pretty damn interesting to watch...to whoever is reading this, if you are interested in writing a fan fiction based on this idea, I'll pay to read it, but it has to be good, and master Roshi has to be best friends with yen Sid ,...that is all I ask
  19. Well at the end of 3d all of those who YX took with him while he traveled to the future were forced to go back to their respective timeline aside from those who simply exist with the timeline 3d is already in (those who have yet to be defeated by sora and co) so pretty much YX went back MX went back and ansem SOD went back, not sure about Xemnas and Braig (or is it still Xigbar?), but everyone else who didn't return to the past naturally exist in that time. But yeah YX turns into MX through etchings made in his heart, but the YX that we see in 3D is the one that we are going to see in KH 3...time travel
  20. Rofl, if only it were that easy to have a gauge constantly showing your battle strength.
  21. This is really random,... There are no established power levels in KH, so you would have no idea on how to do power scaling in terms of base to drive form, and even if there were power levels it would be irrelevant since SSJG doesn't rely on standard power gauging to determine how strong they are. Also, to compare SSJG to kingdom hearts is pretty arbitrary seeing as the only power that has been explicitly shown by kingdom hearts is it being a shiny flashlight that gains power from all living beings and that makes the bad things go away( looking at you ansem sod, and also making fun of the spirit bomb). Where as with SSJG we have a crap ton more stuff to relate it too. It's infinitly stronger than buu, a being capable of destroying the universe, and could destroy a planet in less than a second. And it's half as strong as beerus, but we haven't seen the limits of his strength, so it's up in the air, but SSJG is still much stronger than anything KH has shown us that it's capable of. Too try and compare the two universes will always yield to the simple fact that goku is the third strongest japanese fictional character ever in terms of raw ability and can't be outdone without some sort of God hack, but if we're to take xenoverse as canon (which technically it can be considered since toriyama personally worked on the story of DBO, and XV takes most of its elements from that game) then goku is also semi impervious to even other God beings.
  22. In what way do you mean by ruining? The sonic way by both supporting games that do nothing for the franchise and are complete cash grabs, having so many differing views of what should be in a sonic game that makes the developmentteam try to satisfy everyone? Or are we talking about the dark souls fan bases that goes out of their way to make it seem that if you cant play the game, or understand it, then you're a "filthy casual"
  23. You have to remember that most of the people who were sent to C.O were sent just to be eliminated l, luxord seems like a nice enough guy who will follow orders so there would be no need to do that. For my question it would be, is YMX going to turn good and if so, will we be getting a soft reboot of the series since time will be altered(I would kind I find it cool if MX was turned good and helped to train sora for the next saga)
