  1. Well they decided to make it later, and move on with 3D. Believe me, I wish it added up to 13 but it seems like it just wont You're absolutely right about FInal Mix+ though, I wasn't actually aware of that, so thanks! ^^
  2. Fair enough, though there's also Terra, Aqua, and Ventus: Master Eraqus Saix Of course you can't say that about every X in existence, but it's still fun to speculate ^^ Unfortunately there was a Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix +, so it still doesn't work. That's why I decided not to include that one Also they're going to make Birth by Sleep II as well. And yeah, but that's just basically subtracting from 20. Not meaning to burst your bubble D:
  3. Heh, I find it ironic when people cry out for Kingdom Hearts 3. They already said that it'll be the end of the Xehanort series, so every time a new KH game comes out that's NOT the third one, it makes me happy. I can just think "there's always going to be more!"
  4. Haha, aww. I love my 3DS I thought it was kind of funny to find a thread asking to remake a game that's already been remade ^^ Some of the games better suit a mobile platform. Days (one of the best ones in my opinion) is very suited for a handheld because the missions can mostly be done quickly, so there's no need to play for hours. It suits the DS well. I thought 3D would have been much better suited for a console than a handheld. Just as long as the Drop mechanic is dropped itself >_> And Re:Chain of Memories didn't work too well on the PS2. CoM should have stayed a handheld, to be honest. They could have remade that for the DS as well, but... I'm not sure if it even existed at the time! So I'd have to go with "no," but of course I'll take any Kingdom Hearts I can get, y'know, when Square decides it's that time to make an actual "good" game again
  5. Reminds me of FMA's "Warehouse 13" ^^ Thanks. That one I actually figured out on my own Haha sorry I also didn't include the one that mentions that Ars Arcanum has 13 attacks total, I kind of glazed over those ones Well, if you know about the Recusant's Sigil (Which I'm guessing you do if you're in the 3D forums) then take a look at Riku back in KH1: I think he's got the whole thing figured out haha
  6. Now that we just have one game to go in the Xehanort Saga, I'd like to take a minute to recount all the times that the number 13 comes up. A lot of them are obvious, but sometimes not so much. In fact, the sheer amount of times it comes up is pretty staggering. And with Mr. Nomura, I can't help but think it's not an accident; especially considering how abundant the Recusant's Sigil has been throughout the series, even though it was only recently revealed. Here's a list of all the ones I'm aware of. Most of them are courtesy of The Keyhole. Organization XIII (obviously) Thirteen letters in "Kingdom Hearts." Thirteen letters total in: "Sora + Riku + Kairi" "Aqua + Terra + Ventus" Thanks Sanmuri, I should check my sources better ^^ "Axel + Roxas + Xion" "Terra + Xehanort" "Ventus and Vanitas" (*This one's a little "iffy") "End of the World" "Hollow Bastion" "Radiant Garden" "Light + Darkness" In Kingdom Hearts, the last world seen is the 13th This is also true of Kingdom Hearts II and Birth by Sleep In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, there are 13 System Sectors In the opening movie of Kingdom Hearts the letter "M" in the word "Kingdom" surges towards the screen distinctly, with "M" being the 13th letter in the alphabet. There are 13 floors and 13 basements to Castle Oblivion If Kingdom Hearts 3 elapses another year, the entire saga from Birth By Sleep to Kingdom Hearts 3 will have been 13 years. That's all I have right now. The wiki page I linked has more instances, but a lot of them I found to be irrelevant. So, are there any other instances of the number 13 that you've come across?
  7. Xehanort only stole Ansem's name, nothing else. And if you want to talk about Xehanort's different forms you can make a topic about it, or you can just IM me ^^
  8. I agree, the Grid felt HUGE to me, while the Country felt really small. Took me a while to figure this out, but I ended up using this to my advantage. During a boss fight i would constantly dash at a wall and do the flowmotion jump, and stay in the air until my Curaga recharged What about Destiny Islands in BBS? That's just a cutscene! OR a more serious example: The World That Never Was in 358/2 Days when you're doing missions is just one tiny room, and when you're not doing missions it's just one kinda-normal-sized room I suppose it widens up a bit near the end, but still ^^
  9. I personally don't like Luxord. All he does is make gambling jokes... all the time @_@
  10. Same here, it looked like it belonged in a movie more than anything else
  11. I thought Leechgrave was harder than Dustflier. Xion was WAY harder than Dustflier. The hardest thing was definitely Xion, not only because it was a hard boss that hits like a truck, but also because of the emotional trauma that goes with murdering a twisted image of your best friend.
  12. You have to fill the mission gauge to Gold on all missions to get Sora. Surprisingly, I found the Dustflier to be easy to kill. The mission I couldn't get gold on for the longest time was mission... 11? The organization emblems in Twilight Town. That one emblem was always just out of reach, until I got REALLY lucky
  13. Uhhh... o.O I'll just leave this here... Anyway, the point was that Roxas was too much for Riku, thats why he had to become Ansem to defeat him. Basically, Roxas was Riku's final boss, not the other way around ^^ Also, on another note, one thing that the game did (at least to me) was make that part kind of painful. I mean, Xion JUST died, and I was still very upset from that whole part of the game, but then the game wanted me to keep playing. It was sort of a "can't you see I'm crying here" kind of moment for me.
  14. Everyone sees Xion differently. Roxas sees her as a black-haired version of Kairi (more or less) Axel sees her the same way Roxas does, but remarks on how much she looks like Namine. Before they become friends, though, Axel also sees Xion as a blank puppet, just like Saix. Xemnas sees her as a perfect copy of Sora Xigbar sees her as Ventus Saix sees her as a blank puppet Riku also sees her as the black-haired Kairi-esque person The rest of the Organization I'm not too sure, but they probably see her as a blank puppet like Saix, or as Sora. A lot (if not all) of this was probably already posted, but I figured I'd make it a little more digestible and unified ^^
  15. Absolutely. Everyone's been saying it, but here's "Vector to the Heavens." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCYX7bH0QDs Just this music alone is enough to twist a knot in my throat, nevermind the fact that it's accompanied by a giant monstrous effigy of your former best friend, taunting you to attack her because she knows that it's the last thing you want to do, and the only way she can change that is to threaten your life. 358/2 Days, to me, is the most emotionally deep KH game there is, and this song is a big reason why.
  16. Nah, I mean... they look like this: which doesn't appeal to me. Now, if they looked like this... Then I might buy them ^^
  17. The entirety of 358/2 Days made me sad. By the time I was done with the game I'd cried myself dry and just stared at the starting screen. I know it's a video game, but that doesn't mean it can't be sad. People cry when watching movies all the time, but unlike a movie, you personally had to be the one to kill Xion, you didn't just see it happen. That game was really depressing.
  18. If you want the answer to which one it is, I'd probably say that it's Castle Oblivion's way of confusing its residents, which is the point of the building to begin with. But if you want to cynical answer, it's because it was the best way to make a KH game run on a GBA haha
  19. When did KH3D, Re:Coded, or days go on the eShop? It says KH3D is retail-only, and the other two aren't there. Is that because I'm not part of the Ambassador's club or...? EDIT: Scratch that- to be released
  20. I'd have to agree with this, especially the writing for Donald and Goofy in between floors of the castle. Hearing them losing grip of their memories and become more and more distressed about forgetting things that are important to them really got to me. It was especially heart-wrenching by the time they got to floor 13 and they'd lost almost all of their memories, but they decided at that moment that no matter how much of their lives they forgot, they would never forget their friends. It really was a sad moment, and you're right, the only other game with moments as sad as CoM was 358/2 days, which was also mostly text.
  21. Everybody says that Re:Coded was the worst, and that's the only one I haven't played (Maybe I shouldn't ^^). But, as somebody who hasn't played Re:Coded, I do think that Re:CoM was the least enjoyable. It was overly long and very repetititve, and also very hard (not fun hard, but pain-in-the-neck hard, like Repliku) at some points and very, very broken at others (I'm looking at you, Sonic Blade ) One thing I will say about Chain of Memories: the battle with Marluxia was amazing. I loved it. In fact, because of it, Marluxia is one of my favorite Organization members... ...in case that wasn't obvious already haha
  22. Haha yeah, once time travel is brought into the mix it gets really easy to retcon. Which is kind of a shame because the story of Kingdom Hearts seems brilliant without the retconning. The two main offenders are definitely Young Xehanort and Xion. But anyway, I do sort of remember them mentioning something about needing a heart to wield a keyblade, and I also remember the fact that the nobodies have hearts as well (358/2 days makes that pretty clear, even before they actually tell you). That ties up most of the loose ends I was seeing though. Thanks for helping me out
  23. True enough, but why would revealing that he had a Keyblade ruin his plans? It seemed sort of counter-intuitive to me to recruit Roxas, attempt to replicate Sora, and attempt to possess Sora all in an effort to get somebody with a keyblade to destroy the heartless for him, when he could have done it himself all along. Although I suppose his plan did take into consideration everything that happened from BBS to KH3D because Ansem told him on the islands.
  24. I was thinking about that. Braig even questions if he lost his memory at all, then he tells him his name is Ansem. It's a bit of a bizarre scene, but you're right that it's clearly before the organization existed because of how young Ienzo was. Now this is just confusing me more, because I didn't pay as much attention to that cutscene before, and I thought that was after everyone turned back into humans again. So clearly, he had the ability to use the keyblade when he was already Xemnas (if Xemnas being No. 1 and Xigbar being No. 2 is actually indicative of the order in which they became nobodies, which it seems to be) but decides to use ethereal blades later on. Why would he not want to use a weapon he had already mastered, that could unlock people's hearts? Heh, you're right about that, I guess the Mirage Arena sort of speaks for itself ^^
  25. I suppose that's always a possibility. It was suggested when Xehanort stabbed himself with his own keyblade, yelling "Get out of my heart!" he lost his memories, and thus the ability to wield the keyblade. On the other hand, Xehanort/Xemnas does have the Chamber of Repose that he sits in to regain the memories he lost. By the end of Kingdom Hearts II, I guess it's possible that he'd spent enough time in there to remember what he used to be, and decide to take that form. Yeah, he uses Demyx's water things and Xaldin's Lances and such. I actually beat the game, I was just using that image to show that it was, in fact, not a keyblade ^^
