Ah, so you're in a real predicament. Well, in that case, I'd say go for Portal 2. If you want to get more from the series, then you can't go wrong with Portal 2. Besides, Half Life 1's always going to be there, and it goes down to as low as $5 during a lot of sales.

Well, it's insinuated several times that Aperture has a rivalry with Black Mesa. If you look in one of the offices in the first Portal, one of the presentations is on how Aperture is expected to pass Black Mesa in sales. Also, I believe Cave Johnson talks about them as well in Portal 2

It isn't out yet (It hasn't even been really confirmed), but it's pretty obvious that it's in development. It's taken almost 10 years now, but Valve's mentioned it a couple times. It's famous in the Valve community to make jokes about how long it's taken HL3 to be developed.

I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, it's easily my favorite PC game series ever. It's really tough to explain what it is about it that I love so much, but I've really never experienced a game quite like it before. I will warn you, though. There are two expansion packs to the first Half Life: Blue Shift and Opposing Force. The Steam version of Blue Shift's fairly buggy, which is pretty much the reason why I've never completed it yet. It's still fun, though.

I guess I am just an old man stuck in a young body when it comes to love. I just wish I could find love in my life, just like my near 24 year old cousin did.

I understand what you are going through, I only had one girlfriend in my life and it sucks to be alone while it seems like everybody is with a significant other. But none of this is set in stone. Me,you, and everybody on KH13 do not know what the future will hold. you could be meeting your future girlfriend sooner then you think.

I think it's PC in general. As far as I know, Steam OS has no special exclusive features like new controllers or games. Heck, Valve even lets you run different OS' through the Steam Box. It'd be dumb not to be able to use their controller on their own system.

I found the story very boring and I absolutely hated the puzzles too and Zelda is the one franchise I want to keep going forever so I do love puzzles but these ones were just bad. Wasn't impressed with the gravity gun mechanics either, they did not implement that well imo.

Ah, alright. I personally found the story to be really deep, I enjoyed what I played. Gravity Gun was fun too in my opinion, but hey, not everyone can like something, right?

I'm not an FPS fan either, but I love the ones made by Valve (TF2, Half Life, Left 4 Dead, etc.) I think Valve really innovates with all of theirs, that's what sets them apart from the rest in my opinion.
