@Alpha that was the launch ps4, the new one has buttons amounge other improvements and sound exactly the same as the slim. A lot of people are computing it to the launch ps4 instead of the new vers. which is understandable because why would you buy another one. I bought mine a year ago so I don't know if they made another sine then. -
Well watch some reviews of the slim and the newer ps4 standard models to make your choice.

I also feel like the slim would break easily since they are cutting corners (littraly) and I wouldn't want that to happen to anybody, but it's your call.

@alpha what do you mean HDMI ready? Mine came with a cord. Plus, they could still make more Ver. of the standard one. The Ver. model I have is more quite and energy efficient than the first two models.

Don't get the slim, they put the light bar on the power button and it's super small. Plus, the light bar is really helpful to tell if you ps4 is dieing or not, etc.

"na, not possable." There is no story dlc in that game, they only charge for jewels which are free, but people have been stupid and have been buying them.
People have been getting the English ver. since jp's release.
