"DragonBall Xenoverse 2" (PS4/XB1/PC)
I had the first one on the xb1 so I'm losing out on the transfer if anything, but you should be able to do a ps3 to ps4 transfer as GTA and Destiny both do this. GTA can transfer from ps3 to xb1 or ps4 same if it goes from 360. Destiny is account based so it's technically not a transfer but your characters exist on ps3 and ps4 simultaneously due to the connection it has to the bungie account. Unless they're too lazy to do it as well, they should be able to work out a transfer system like this for Xenoverse 2.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - General Discussion
I keep forgetting to post about this. But it is definitely exciting news.New US trademarks for BotW are extending further belief that cartridges are making a return for the nx. Just wish more people were smart enough to know that cartridges can hold more than 2 TB worth of data on them nowadays. Which is a massive boost from the 50gb bluray discs. Most people don't even know how huge an advancement going back to cartridges is compared to staying with discs.

Sheika Slate in real life
This has me thinkng. Nintendo could totally make a companion app for smartphones and other handheld devices call it the sheikh slate and run the sheikh slate features on it sort of like the pip boy app for fallout. What's the point though? Don't we have the gamepad? Fortunately that's easy to answer. Some people like the pro controller and would rather use that. There's also the NX with no known gimmick (hopefully it doesn't have one). Also you could be on the road and might just wanna check the map or something to see what you wanna do when you get home later. I personally find it to be an appealing idea.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - General Discussion
Glad Zeltik points out that it's not telepathy like the theorist that is placing it in the Downfall timeline. Zeltik is my go to theorist as he has a ton of evidence from everything we've seen to back it up.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - General Discussion
A second timeline split is very likely. The timeline within the Legend of Zelda is full of paradoxes itself. But what if it were that the Great Sea actually disappeared? What if there was a massive drought that brought about the land of Hyrule once more and in that time they were able to travel back and discover a land of ruin? If anything, this Shiekah technnology could have existed during the time Ganondorf returned and brought ruin to the land of Hyrule. Not everything adds up though as the Master Sword has been placed in a pedestal in a grove similar to the one in ALttP. But I still have a feeling that it could be Adult Timeline regardless of what way it ends up going in.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - General Discussion
This guy went super in depth and I really like that. This is very likely in the Downfall Timeline. However, he argued that Koroks are forms the forest spirits have taken and can take at any time in any timeline. I have to disagree, as even after saying that he read through a major portion of the Hyrule Historia, he still missed the minor detailing that is within the book itself. It is read "Some of the people in the Era of the Great Sea underwent drastic changes in form during the tumultuous eras of the past. The Kokiri now appear plantlike, having transformed into the Korok tribe, who spread greenery around the world with the spirit known as the Deku Tree. The Zora tribe, who now bear birdlike beaks, have transformed into the Rito. They grow their wings upon being blessed with one of the spirit Valoo's scales." It literally states that these changes were not only made for the Great Sea, but also that they were made to Kokiri and Zora. Both tribes transformed (or evolved). Ignoring this for the whole forest spirits can take on any form bit is like telling me that the Zora can take on whatever form they want. It's basically like saying the Rito bird tribe is just another form of "water spirits." I don't believe him to be wrong in this theory, but Koroks are definitely an evolution made to survive the flood and they alone throw off any theory regardless of which timeline you choose to place it in.

Not too excited for FFXV (Here's why)
So you question whether I'm a fan of something or not because I don't mention one thing? That's pretty rude in and of itself. Breath of the Wild isn't just about going back to its roots, and honestly, it barely does that. Yes it's giving us a true open world again, but its breaking conventions that have stuck with the series for years upon years and introducing mechanics that have never been in a Zelda title before, such as cooking and gathering materials to make the meals necessary to replenish hearts. You don't even get hearts from grass anymore. You literally have to find and forage food to heal yourself. There are many things it is doing that make people say "this isn't a Zelda game" but it is. The same goes for games like Final Fantasy XV. You can say it isn't a Final Fantasy game, but it is and that's something people are just gonna have to deal with because it's appearing to be the direction the series is going in now. Modernization is always going to happen, most people won't like it, but even Square Enix knows that real-time action is more appealing today than something turn-based. Paper Mario isn't even appealing in its current state. Most people hate it and are more excited over the news that if they demand it, Nintendo will give them a HD remaster of Thousand-Year Door. I've personally never been interested in Persona, so I won't say anything on that.

Not too excited for FFXV (Here's why)
I mean people see the new Zelda as not a Zelda game. There's always gonna be that. But they're labeled as said titles. Most of the people who dropped the "it doesn't seem like a Final Fantasy" line really only did because their precious Turn-based was taken out for the modern and much better gameplay style of an action game. I still stand by the idea that turn-based is a dying genre. The only game successfully using it at this point is Pokemon and even that gets boring after a few hours. Turn-based games have personally never really caught my interests. Yeah you can get some flash "movies" for a move, but honestly we're much better off actually playing the game rather than watching a bunch of mid-battle cutscenes for a single move.

Not too excited for FFXV (Here's why)
I love when games break their conventions to become something bigger and better as time goes one. I mean, take the new Zelda for example. Some may say it is using older ideas from the original titles, but Aonuma is introducing many new things to the series as a whole. Breath of the Wild doesn't even seem close to what Zelda has become over the years and that's an amazing thing. It was the most talked about game, the best game there (even IGN of all things named it best of the show). What's even better are the people who complained that Zelda alone was a bad choice, and after seeing it (even though there were more games) it was as if it was the only game Nintendo needed to many who thought otherwise. FFXV looks great to me because it's breaking its conventions, it's turning into something truly amazing and while many have their opinion on it, I've rarely seen any distaste for FFXV outside of this website. It could be just me, but I'm almost positive the negative opinions about the latest title are in the minority. I'm not saying this is a good or bad thing, just thought I'd point it out.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - General Discussion
It won't. It's not a successor to the Wii U. The NX is it's own thing. But I believe they cut the gimmicks partial due to this and the fact that Miyamoto actually stepped back from this title and that gave Aonuma more freedom to actually break conventions.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - General Discussion
They didn't wanna use any gimmicks. I believe the NX won't have a console gimmick. That's actually a good thing imo.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - General Discussion
There has been a major increase in speculation after Aonuma mentioned that BotW really has a spot on the timeline. Many are making guesses, there's plenty to work with here. Some believe that it's in the Child Timeline because of the Wolf Link amiibo (which has no canonical purpose in BotW), but the biggest guesses are the Decline Timeline after the first 2 Zelda titles mostly because of the Twin Peaks in the distance that are from Zelda and then there are those that are guessing Adult Timeline because we have Koroks, Rock Salt can be found in the game and many other references to previous titles within the Adult Timeline. Now we could say it's the new Hyrule they formed after finding the new continent, but we have a Master Sword (banged up and rusted). Now I wanna say this is Hyrule after the Great Sea naturally drained out over the years. But I also wanna stick with New Hyrule. The Master Sword is the biggest speculation, as it can cancel out these ideas because it exists. However, it is broken, rusted, and hidden somewhere within Hyrule. In WW, Link sank the sword into Ganondorf's head, but we know that Ganon has since revived and is known as Calamity Ganon (according to articles, Aonuma says that this Link is in charge of keeping Calamity Ganon imprisoned). Ganon may have revived once the the sea disappeared and the rusted sword lost its power. Koroks are big point in keeping to the Adult Timeline. Many have tried to deny it because "koroks could have occurred at any time," but evidence from the Hyrule Historia itself says that Kokiri (and Zoras) made drastic changes through evolution to survive the flood. Koroks purposely exist as an evolution made to survive and adapt to the flooded world. This is where I find it hard to theorize otherwise. It's all just speculation right now, but most of the evidence in the game we've seen so far, at least points to the Adult Timeline. Edit: One thing I feel should be pointed out is that, Ganondorf was also referenced as just Ganon in the Wind Waker. Most terms used in it to refer to him were simply the shorter, Ganon. But Ganon is supposed to be the pig beast form that Ganondorf undertakes. But regardless, within the Adult Timeline, even Ganondorf is just Ganon, so it's really hard to make speculation using just Ganon.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - General Discussion
Breath of the Wild is Nintendo's most ambitious game in years. Not only is it a new Zelda, but it's massive and it breaks away from the conventions that made Zelda what it is today, and for that reason this title has huge promise.

speculation: Nintendo to release the zelda u demos to the public after their event
OH, that? The sale is 40% off on things and My Nintendo Members who link their accounts gain an additional 10%. Basically the special bonus is knowing that you're getting 50% off instead.

FF7 Remake DOES NOT Have a KH Battle System.
Pretty sure they said it was a mix between ATB and Action themselves. Yeah, it's not completely action based, but is more of that and real time than anything else.

Are You Taking Any Days Off Work/School To Watch E3?
I unfortunately did not get the days off for E3 like I had requested when I set them as unavailable. Lucky for me, Bethesda's starts when I get home and Sony's starts as I get off of work so I will be watching the ones that matter. I am completely free for Nintendo's presentation that I only really care about Zelda from.

Not only Zelda!
Not really. Nintendo's directs outside of E3 have been way better in recent years and Sony has its own gaming event that is ten times better than their E3 conference. It's called PlayStation Experience and it's an amazing event they've done two years in a row. People are dropping from E3 which combined between all of them, has barely been that exciting the past few years. E3 might grow smaller next year, and eventually die out at that.

Not only Zelda!
Saving the NX for a separate special event is the likely thing they're doing. It's not a bad idea, not the first time a company has done this, but I guess Nintendo doing it is wrong of them.

Pokémon Sun/Moon Discussion Thread!
When did the sun involve fire? It's just a gaseous ball of heavy elements like gold, uranium, and components of the iron group which are also used daily on earth to make steel. I don't know why everyone thinks fire when they think sun. Scientifically speaking, the sun has no association with fire and with a metal make-up that includes many of the metals that are used to make steel, Solgaleo better fits the theme of Sun by being Steel rather than fire because the sun isn't a ball of fire, its gas, tons of gas and metals and because of nuclear fusion we have the heat the sun gives off.

Not only Zelda!
For what, two games? They don't have much to show right now and in my personal opinion, Zelda is all that matters out of those two. I'm getting Pokemon, but it's not gonna be as hype as Zelda for me.
-
Do you guys think that Nintendo has something up their sleeve this e3?
Nope. Zelda U is literally all that matters. I mean, if you haven't heard, the Wii U is dead and even Nintendo knows that.

So ready for that remaster too.
