Persona 5 is a great game but should I buy the older titles?
Persona 3 is a bit dated at this point but its story is amazing and it introduced many of the mechanics now common in the persona series like social links and time management. I'd recommend Persona 3 FES if you're interested. Its on PSN as a PS2 classic and can be played on a PS3 if im not mistaken. If you like challenges P3 FES Hard Mode is VERY difficult (harder than P5 Merciless)

Kingdom Hearts 3 Development Leak
I seriously hope this isn't true otherwise its shaping up to be another Versus XIII disaster. Nomura needs to realize that nothing can be perfect and faults are a given especially in game development. No doubt Nomura is super talented and is a mastermind but i am seriously starting to doubt his ability to direct a team especially for huge projects like KH3 and FF7R. I am still kinda salty about how he handled Versus XIII's development which is why i am so skeptical about this whole situation

DARKSIDERS III
Holy moly i can't believe they actually did it. I thought the next game would focus on Strife (the horseman with the guns) but they chose Fury instead which is fine too. I can't wait to hear more about it at E3. Will it only focus on Fury or will it have co-op with the other 3 horsemen being playable too? If they choose the singleplayer route that means Strife might also get his own game in the future if this one is successful which i am sure it will be. They should also bring back Jesper Kyd to do the OST. He did a remarkable job in Darksiders 2

What's your E3 wishlist and predictions?
Wishlist: - New FF7R trailer showing updated combat system from current build - New KH3 trailer showing combat in real time in addition to new story details - Darksiders 3 announcement - Persona 5 Red announcement (like P4G or P3FES complete versions released before) - NieR Replicant/Gestalt Remake announcement (hopefully since Automata did so well) - New Devil May Cry announcement (capcom pls) - Last of Us 2 details - Jak 4? Hopefully so

Ps4 or nintendo switch
Go PS4 Pro. You'll be playing games like Persona 5 and NieR Automata and FF7R/KH3 in the future at crisp 1080p and most likely 60FPS depending on whether the devs will support it
-
Which dfficulty will you choose?
Critical if its unlocked automatically or proud if crit requires a proud run to unlock
-
What scene in Final Fantasy 7 do you most want to see in the Remake?
The safer sephiroth fight
-
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX to feature PS4 Pro support.
This is exactly why i bought a Pro to begin with. 60FPS on games like KH and FF should be standard IMO. It'll be interesting to see how much better KH3 runs on Xbox Scorpio compared to PS4 Pro since the scorpio has 2 more TFLOPS than the pro

(Minor Spoilers) Which boss fight did you enjoy the most in 0.2?
Secret boss for sure. Most well designed fight since Terra/Lingering Will in 2FM. Pre-patch demon's tide was just really poorly designed with classic osaka team mechanics (no stagger, random escapes, random attacks). Even the final devils wave fight post patch still has issues with the shadows he throws at you mid combo with no indication. Secret boss is for sure a step in the right direction for boss fights but devils wave is a major regression back to annoying BBS and DDD mechanics

New patch for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, adjustments to gameplay for Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage-
These changes are really good. Devil's Wave is actually predictable now and the damage buffs for crit are amazing. Can't wait to see what the speedrunners will do with this update
-
(Spoilers) Now that 2.8 is out i'd like to address some grievances with 0.2
The boss fights are terribly designed. Devils wave (demon tower) is a horribly designed fight that is completely random and up to RNG. It doesn't stagger, attacks at random, has no clear pattern of attack, and devils wave 3 (final boss) has a DM that lasts forever. Its all classic Osaka BS boss design. The only good boss fight in the game is mirage aqua. Mirage Aqua has revenge value so she doesn't break out at random, has attack patterns that can be visualized so you can respond with the proper defensive strategy, has a DM that can be somewhat skipped if using the right spell, and is just an amazingly designed fight. I seriously hope Nomura and the team are listening to feedback from 0.2 because if devils wave type bosses are in KH3 its looking to be a disaster in the making. EDIT: Sorry for not adding spoiler tag

What games are coming in 2017?
I also forgot to mention Ghost Recon Wildlands in march too

What games are coming in 2017?
Aside from 2.8 we have Resident Evil 7 and Tales of Berseria which are both coming out in 2 days. Then there's mass effect andromeda in march

[Spoilers] Anyone else disappointed with 2.8
Like others have said 0.2 was meant to be a sneak peak into KH3's mechanics/engine. Kinda of like episode duscae with FFXV. Now i am HOPING that Nomura gathers feedback from the community that played 0.2 to improve KH3, something that Tabata did alot with XV's development

Re: when do you think KH3 will release?
Winter 2018 initial release date then it will get delayed another few months to summer 2019
-
Re: when do you think KH3 will release?
2019. I see it getting delayed at some point during 2018 for whatever reason they decide (scorpio support maybe?). Im just not too optimistic for 2018 at all since its Nomura we're talking about

Tetsuya Nomura's lack of transparency and commitment
That's why im saying to pull him off the project as director and have him work on direct development such as character designs, combat, etc. I totally see KH3 and FF7R's development becoming another Versus XIII situation if Nomura doesn't get his act together lol
-
Tetsuya Nomura's lack of transparency and commitment
He even said so himself that he doesn't like being a director and would rather work on the game instead of directing a team. They really need to sort this out before KH3 and FF7R end up becoming another Versus XIII situation
-
Tetsuya Nomura's lack of transparency and commitment
Undoubtedly Nomura is a mastermind and the projects he's involved with end up being amazing BUT the guy takes way too long in the development cycle and is also overworked too. When he was on Versus XIII from 2006-2012 barely anything got done and they replaced him with Tabata in 2013 which ended up with the original Versus XIII being scrapped. With him now working on the two biggest anticipated titles of Square Enix i honestly have no clue when they'll release. It could be another 5+ years before we see KH3 or FF7R IF Nomura does the same thing he did with Versus XIII's development. That being said Nomura needs to be more transparent with fans so we actually know the status of development on KH3 and FF7R. Maybe do Active Time Reports like Tabata did. I know Tabata's reputation is hazy; some people love him and others hate him but you have to admire the passion he has for the gamer. He released 2 demos for XV and even updated episode duscae. He also did the ATR's. He didn't have to do any of this. He did all of that because he wanted fans to know XV's development was proceeding well compared to the nightmarish development cycle of Versus XIII. Tabata could have easily pulled a Nomura and said "development is proceeding well" without having anything to show/prove it. Bottom line is Nomura needs to be more transparent like Tabata or fans will just forget about FF7R and KH3. These games can't be in limbo for another 5+ years
- Series director Tetsuya Nomura says that Kingdom Hearts III's release is still a while away

I actually look forward to the Nintendo Switch
I understand why some are hopeful that this will sell well but lets be honest here. Hardcore gamers who want best graphics/performance for home console are either gonna go with PS4 or X1. Scorpio releases this year too and i just don't see Switch competing with either PS4 or X1 at all. Nintendo should have made a powerful home console with hardware that competes directly with PS4 and X1 instead of a tablet/console hybrid with a mobile GPU. I don't see this meeting sales expectations at all. If companies like square enix are gonna start releasing their games on switch too, i dont see the average gamer picking up a switch to play those games on knowing they're getting a watered down version with lower graphics and framerates compared to the full version they could be playing on PS4/X1

[SPOILER!] 0.2 end
Very interesting. KH3 will probably start off with you playing as Kairi in radiant garden to get acquainted with the new controls/mechanics. That being said, its also interesting how some of the characters are splitting up with their own missions. Wonder how they will meet up throughout the story. I guess we'll find out sometime late next year if KH3 will be done by then
-
How are you avoiding spoilers for 2.8?
I actually went on the KH subreddit to find out how 0.2 ends because i wanna see how KH3 begins. Its pretty interesting. Nothing is 100% confirmed yet since its just going off JP translations but its pretty intriguing nonetheless
-
Tetsuya Nomura's lack of transparency and commitment
They said that each episode would be the length of 1 full ps4 game. So for episode 1 its not just gonna be the bombing mission like the OG FF7. They're adding alot of new stuff in like explorable areas in midgar/new scenarios. That's why its taking so long to finish

Will KH3 have a worldwide release? (Based on 2.8's release cycle)
So i was super excited to play 2.8 tomorrow until i found out that the 12th is the JP release date with NA/EU have to wait until the 24th. Why is this still a thing? FFXV released worldwide on the same date so why does KH always have this JP first NA later thing? Will they do this with KH3 too? 2 weeks isn't that bad but still its 2017 worldwide releases for big games like KH2.8 should be mandatory
