Do you use the names of Kingdom Hearts characters as nicknames in other games?
Many a Pokemon has been named Roxas, or Sora, Riku or Xion. Many of my fire starters or fire pokemon end up being named Axel or Lea.

Which trailer was it again? Help plz
Ok, I'm going crazy because I can't remember which trailer or secret ending or teaser or what it was. But does anyone remember that video where there's a scene of DiZ standing in front of soras pod while he sleeps, and he's typing on a tablet, then it switches to Roxas and Xion walking in Twilight Town, and the camera pans up to a blindfolded Riku watching them. I can't remember where this is from, I think it's a trailer but I can't recal...anyone know?

Review:Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (Oh God, What Have I Done?!)
I can agree with you on the bosses but I had no problem with the pacing of the story and the combat wasn't the worst- wasn't the best but I didn't mind it. I quite love the game and have played it many times over. I guess it just comeseems down to what's a deal breaker and where your tolerance for these things are. I don't mind less than stellar gameplay if I can get deeply invested in the story and characters- something I find days does really well. Throughout the story, even on my 1st playthrough, I found myself getting really invested in the characters and loving all the back story and little nods to the main story. Could some things have been done better? Well sure, even kh2 (a game I consider to be the best in the framchise) has its issues in areas- but it just comes down to if you are able to overlook them. If u can't, that's fine 1 playthrough was enoughoping for you. Can't bash you for having an opinion.

Petty Things That Bug You About KH
When the same cutscene happens in two different games and the voice acting in one of them is different even though they have the same voice actor! Ex: Axel trying to convince Roxas not to leave the organization- kh2 vs 358/2 days. Their tones change a bit between kh2 and Days. I like the k2 one better. The scene when Roxas and Axel eat ice cream after Axel dies in kh2fm. Part of that scene is in the opening of Days and it sounds completely different! Then, in the Days cinematic, it sounds different too! I personally liked the one from the Days opening better but why did they have to re-record it differently? It's the same lines, with the same scene why couldn't they reuse it or try to get it close to the original? It's so petty but grrr I can't stand it when they do that.

ORIGINS OF KH
That was very enjoyable. Thank you for sharing

Who was larxene before she became a nobody?
My theory is that the Org. XIII members who dont appear in the rest of the KH series will appear somewhere in a future final fantasy game. I have no proof to base this on, just seems like something they would do.

Will Roxas appearance stay the same?
HAHAHAHA! Yes, yes as he does! I just cant wait to see what they have planned.

Will Roxas appearance stay the same?
What I'm wondering is after Vens heart gets taken out and its influence stops shaping his vessel what will he look like. I mean, he grew his own heart well after his vessel was already made. Who knows if his appearance may have changed if he had been allowed to exist for longer with Vens and his own heart inside him. And his new heart may not have had that huge an effect while Vens was still inside him in the beginning. But after Vens heart gets taken out, I dont see why his body wouldnt change at least slightly in accommodation with its new heart. But i think it would probably only change slightly. I mean, by the end of Days he has darker eyebrows than Ven- so his new heart may already have been starting to influence things. And since he gave Sora his body back, technically to come back and be his own person he's going to need a new body to go with his new heart. I mean, unless they're going to give him Soras again (which i doubt is going to happen). And with this new blank body, his heart will shape it to probably look somewhat like his old one. But there would have to be changes because his new heart was not a clone of Vens. Also, having two characters on screen who have the exact same appearance, as well as the same voice actor would get slightly confusing. I mean, how other than their clothes are we supposed to tell them apart? Unless they wanna show their full bodies on screen so we can see their clothes every time each one of them is talking when they are in the same room.Or maybe they plan to have some running joke where everyone keeps mixing up Roxas and Ven. Which would be a bit amusing to see, i must admit.

Will Roxas appearance stay the same?
So we all know that the reason Roxas looks like Ventus is because his heart was being harbored inside him. And we also know that the heart shapes the vessel it's in- giving it its appearance. Meaning if Roxas didnt have Ventus heart inside of him when he was born, he would probably look closer to Sora in appearance. So i had a thought: if Roxas were to get his own heart after or during KH3, would he get a completely new appearance to match his new heart? Would he look more similar to Sora, since he does come from his after all? Or maybe change only slightly from what it is now (ie, new hair or eyes or something) Or maybe stay the same? (though i dont see why it would considering that Ventus heart would no longer be inside him.) What do you think? You think they'll change his appearance if this happens? Going by the logic of the game it would make sense if it did change, but I have grown attached to his appearance as it is so i would be a bit sad to see it change completely. But if they kept it completely the same, it wouldn't make much sense in the logic of the game. I put my vote in that they would change his appearance only slightly.

Have you been deeply inspired by anything from Kingdom Hearts?
All of the above. A quote i draw inspiration from is Axels, "As long as we keep each other in our thoughts, none of us will ever have to be apart. Got it memorized?" I've lost a lot of important people in my life, and this quote reminds me that me remembering them helps to keep them alive and a part of my life. To not dwell on the loss, but on the happy memories i made with them. The plot of not letting the darkness consume you is also something that inspires me. Which is why Riku and his story arch are one of my favorites. I was once so close to letting my own darkness consume me that i felt so absolutely lost. I felt like my body, my soul, my mind was fading away, and it really felt like I was going to disappear. But I found my light, and chose rather than to reject that darkness within me, to use it to become a stronger and better person. Riku, Roxas, Xion, Axel, Sora, Namine, I really draw inspiration from all them in my own life. When the darkness begins to close in around me, i look to them for inspiration to stay optimistic, to keep going in the face of my own failures, to look to friends, to not dwell on the darkness, and to find my light again. Sorry if that sounded really cheesy, but thats how i feel.

Happy International Firefighters Appreciation Day!
Every May 4th is International Firefighters Appreciation Day! Just thought I'd share that since not a lot of people know. So, if you meet any out there, or see one on the street, or even go to a station and say, "Thank you" to them. They each sacrifice so much, and work so hard to do their jobs, and protect the people of their communities. From big city, to small town, from volunteer, to full time, they each matter a great deal and I am thankful for all they do. This one's for the Firefighters! I salute you all! Do you miss back when we didnt know anything? KH mysteries.
Hatok, i suppose you and i just have differing opinions on what makes a series or story predictable. The general out line of any story is and will always be pretty predictable. There are only a few choices any writer can make on how the general story will end or go. Happy ending, bittersweet ending, sad ending, sad but hopeful ending. There really isnt much more you can do than that in the general sense. I mean, i am pretty sure everyone guessed that Sora was going to find his friends in the end, or that there would be more battles to be fought, or that Riku would have continuing battles with his darkness. Those plot points are basically what the premise for the rest of the plot is. Predictability in a story to me is that everything outside of the general story is not a surprise. You see everything coming- even the details and 'twists' and sacrifices along the way. That combined with the predictability of the general story, is what makes a story predictable to me. Which kinda brings into question what the reason people read or follow a story. Do you follow it for the main overarching plot, or for the details put there along the way? With how predictable most overarching plots are, i almost without exception follow a story for the details along the way. If i start reading a book or something and I am able to predict every step along the way what happens to the characters, how they effect the story and what happens to them along the way, that is when i call it predictable. We all knew the basic plot of most every game: trouble brews, our heros go to fight it, obstacles get in their way, they encounter colorful characters along the way that help cement the main theme, they fight their way to confront the main boss, defeat them, roll credits. What makes a story predictable or unpredictable is what happens along the way between those points. The thing is, most of the details along the way out side of the general i didnt predict. First time i played through Days, through 3D, through KH2, especially through CoM, I wouldnt have guessed quite a few things. Axels death in KH2 hit me like a sucker punch- in my mind i had a totally different expectation of what they were gonna do with him. Through 3D, I was just so taken aback that they added time travel and some of what happened to Axel too. I knew they were gonna add him back into the mix, but i never wouldve guessed he'd get a Keyblade. There are other things but it'd take too long to write them all and reading them would probably be a pain, so yeah. I guess your version of predictable and my version are just different. And thats fine, if we all had the same opinions then this forum would get pretty stagnant. Am i right?

Chain of Memories anniversary
CoM was my first game in the KH series, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. It was also the first game i ever got really into. Like in the theory crafting, laying awake at night thinking about it and playing it every chance i could sorta way. I really like them both, but for different reasons so i dont really have a favorite. I like Re:CoM because of the awesome visuals, but also because the characters speak how they speak in the rest of the games. Like how Axel says, "Got it memorized?" like he does in all the rest of the games in Re:CoM, rather than "Commit it to memory." like he did in the original. But that is also why i like the original too. It shows an origin, what the game and series first was rather than having it be made in hindsight like Re:CoM. I really like reading through the dialogue and finding the differences in how they speak in the two CoM games and in the rest of the series as a whole. Also, I dont know if it was just me, but when i play the original, i get chills from how dark it can be at times- versus in Re:CoM where it seems the serious tone has been watered down a some. I cant explain why i think that, and i cant really give examples, but thats the feeling i get playing the original versus the remake. I think though that it is the fact that it is just text rather than voice acting. The plain text allows you the reader to put on the text any tone or subtext you want or see fit with what you think the mood should be in that particular scene. In the remake, the voices help to set the tone and mood. I also love the story and the theme of memories more than anything. Memories, false memories, and their power over people has always been a topic i like to think about. So this game really appeals to that part of my brain when i play it, and i love it! I love all KH games, and i love all their stories, but CoMs story i think will always be my favorite.

Do you want the Marvel Universe and/or Star Wars to appear in future Kingdom Hearts games?
I am open to it, but ONLY AFTER kh3. I really think if they were to add it this late in the saga, it wouldnt be all that it could be. I think it would be a great way to open the next saga though.
