  1. Considering Yellow was the only one I ever owned, it's that by default. I do love the anime characters suddenly inserted into the game (good god it's fun to just murder Jessie and James) and the fact that you get each starter is pretty rad. I've always wanted to play Platinum, but it's so hard to find these days, let alone at a good price, that I might as well just give up. Also I could never get really into B2/W2. I really liked the new mechanics and updated features in Gen 5, and honestly it's probably my favorite Gen in turns of gameplay, but B2/W2 just felt so weak compared to B/W. Couldn't get into the story, didn't like how the new path of travelling through the towns went, didn't like the character designs compared to B/W- I dunno, it just never clicked for me. Also, unrelated, but there seems to be some confusion about Gen 2 coming to the Virtual Console: Crystal is not being ported, only Gold and Silver are (at least, for now, I guess they could in the future, but I dunno...)
  2. M K 3 2 1 AGH I LOVE THAT QUITE A BIT (Also yikes, throwing Sonic 4 under the bus something fierce.) Great trailer, gets me super pumped about the game. The song was really good too, reminds me of Reach for the Stars, which is rad.
  3. woo I'm just happy for a release date at all. Now hopefully it won't get delayed again.
  4. The only movie I'm kind of interested in is Dunkirk, half because it looks like a genuinely interesting war movie, and half because my sister is a huge Harry Styles fan and she'd probably drag me along even if I didn't want to go. Nothing else I know of really stands out to me this summer.
  5. Oh, yeah, Civil War is still a great movie that I'd absolutely recommend. It's just hard to call it a Spider-Man movie when he's basically minor comic relief.
  6. I dunno, I used to think I really liked Spider-Man 2, but looking back on a bunch of old clips recently, it seems kind of... bad. I dunno, I'll have to watch it again sometime and see how it holds up. I remember not liking 1 very much, and saying 3 sucked goes without saying. Never seen the Amazing Spider-Man movies, but from what I've heard, I'd probably not be a fan. He's literally only in two scenes of the movie (though to be fair, one of them is that huge cool fight scene at the airport). It's very obvious that Disney/Marvel wanted to jam him into the movie as soon they got the rights.
  7. I am way, way too into Assassin's Creed. It's the only game series outside of Kingdom Hearts that I've played virtually every game (barring the weird PSP and DS games, which really shouldn't count imo). The AC games are notorious for being broken half the time, especially Unity, but when Ubisoft gets it right, they really get it right. AC2, Revelations, Black Flag, and Rogue are some of my favorite games of all time, and I'm so looking forward to whatever news they have to reveal at E3 this year.
  8. Same. Character creation is obviously awesome, but I'm still unsure on the gameplay. It looks decent enough from the small clip they showed and I like the idea of equipping different gear to get through levels in unique ways (encouraging replayability is really smart) but there's too many details they haven't released for me too get genuinely excited. Once they explain/show how this third playstyle is gonna work and how it's different than the other two, I'll be more invested, I'm sure. Ehhhh, I've still got my doubts. Classic Sonic gameplay still looks noticeably worse than it was in Generations (and tbh I didn't even think it was all that great then either), Wisp powers are back (booooo) and like I said above, Original the Character gameplay is too vague at this point for me to draw any realistic expectations out of it. Still really excited about the game though! This new reveal has a lot of cool potential behind it, and I really hope Sonic Team can fulfill it.
  9. Let's all have a moment of silence for anyone who seriously thought the new character would be Bubsy. I absolutely love this idea, it's really cool and good on Sonic Team for doing it. I also despise the Internet right now because everyone is flooding Twitter with "HURR NOW I CAN MAKE MY STUPID JOKE OC HURR" and "THE NEW CHARACTER IS BLONIC GET IT". None of that's dying down any time soon.
  10. Mostly DDD ones; Ocean's Rage, Sweet Dream and Counterpoint are all just gross to look at. (And if we're counting KHUx, the Moogle O' Glory is painfully stupid.) boooooo Zero/One is rad
  11. Yeah, they can use them. They probably just don't want to because why give free advertising to stuff that isn't ours, even if it's just movies? (That's also why I'm not counting out Fantastic Four characters; those movies are all pretty big failures so they're not as worried as they are about X-man, a super popular movie franchise they're directly competing against.)
  12. Well I only bring up the obscurity factor because popularity/profitability pretty much decides what's going in the game. It's why Captain Marvel is front and center now, because Marvel wants to push her hard (likely for the upcoming movie) and it's why they're changing Rocket Raccoon from a pretty accurate depiction of the comic book to the version from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. A lot of it coming from the Marvel end seems to be designed to draw in people who like the MCU movies, not so much because they're interesting or unique characters. That's also why there'll be no X-men in the game, and likely no Fantastic Four. The movie rights for those are owned by Fox, and Marvel/Disney doesn't want to draw any attention to movies that aren't theirs, so out they go. The business side of things is really affecting this game, man.
  13. Yeah, Old Guy Obsessed W/ Darkness isn't exactly a new concept.
  14. Aw hell yeah to all of these. Ben Grimm is my man, one of the most likable characters Marvel ever had, Rashid is the coolest character from SFV, and Asura is insane over the top and deserves more recognition (Asura v. Hulk would be crazee.) Even though he's way to obscure for this game, I'd love to have Toxin. He had the coolest symbiote storyline I thought and it's a shame Marvel pretty much forgot all about him. In lieu of that, Anti-Venom would also be pretty sweet- good guy Eddie Brock is a neat idea and his design is really cool. (Honestly, I just want a symbiote that isn't Venom or Carnage, they hog all the attention.) Also lol Kingpin. Fatty-fatty-fat-fat vs. anyone from Capcom strikes me as comedy gold.
  15. anyone who says minecraft is a terrible person I'm all kinds of into Injustice 2. Not because I want to play it- I'm completely shit at fighting games- but because it just looks awesome. I'm pretty into DC in general, and the huge cast of more obscure characters is super appealing to me. All the trailers make it look super cinematic in a really cool way and graphically it's just a treat to watch. Really looking forward to watching pro gameplay of it. Oh, and Prey also looks really cool, I'm just not into first-person horror/suspense games. (Plus I can't quite forgive it for being a completely different game than the original Prey.)
  16. I've only played 3, 4 and 5 and P5 by far blows the other two out of the water imo. Haven't played 3 in many years but I remember feeling zero attachment to any of the characters and abhorring Tartarus. I've tried to play through 4 like three times, and I can just never bring myself to finish it- I absolutely hate almost every character in that game, it drives me mad. Just about everyone is either a jerk or an idiot or both. The immaturity factor isn't charming to me, it's just obnoxious and unlikable (seriously, firetruck Yousuke for all the shit he dragged me into) and the main story really isn't compelling enough to keep me interested (especially since I got spoiled about who the true villain is, a twist I think is really not very good). P5 nails just about everything the other two games failed on for me; almost every character is likable and interesting, a fascinating and interesting plot, super tight gameplay mechanics that are easy to pick up on, Mementos works a thousand times better than Tartarus or revisiting dungeons, and I personally am all about the jazz/funk music. I've dumped 100+ hours into it in the last two weeks and I'm so willing to dump many more for NG+. This is literally the only saving grace P4 has for me. Naoto is Waifu Prime and I'll die an honorable death defending that statement.
  17. So nothing changes then? I say Ventus. Being in a coma for like 12 years is bound to mess with a guy's head, and I wouldn't be shocked if he had some major brain damage.
  18. It's hard not to pick Space Mountain, it's one of the best, most famous coasters in the world. If not that, Jungle Cruise is fun for me because it's calm, quiet and the dry sarcastic captains are exactly my kind of thing. You're thinking of Star Tours, and yes it is most definitely great, though they overhauled it once Disney officially owned Star Wars. Now it's very sadly in 3D so you need shitty glasses to ride it, which really kills the experience for me. But they did update the "movie" for the ride so now you'll randomly get sent to worlds from the first 6 movies, so you'll suddenly be in Hoth when the Empire's invading or in the asteroid belt where Jango Fett's laying down seismic charges, etc. It's really cool for a dumb SW nerd like myself (although sometimes the randomness doesn't take into account continuity- your ship will be contacted by Leia, and then you'll suddenly warp to the Battle of Coruscant, and my inner fanboy starts crying).
  19. Is it? I always thought it was supposed to be pronounced "key cross" for the reasons I mentioned, though now I'm not sure. Either way, it's definitely not the Roman numeral X, so the whole idea of this being the 10th KH game is still reeeeally suspect.
  20. The biggest problem with the theory, besides having no reason to be true, is that it's not an X, the Roman numeral, it's χ, the Greek letter. It's pronounced kind of like "key", hence the χ-blade. It's not 10 cross, it's "key" cross, because Keyblade wielders are starting crossing their keys, aka crossing swords, leading to the Keyblade War, get it?
  21. Nothingness, because it makes no goddamn sense and also apparently allows me to form lightsabers out of thin air.
  22. Would it? People already hate Sonic for having a ton of different side characters- why would adding a new one with an awful pedigree be any better? No one likes Bubsy now, so what would change about him being in a Sonic game? See, customizable characters sound like the coolest and smartest idea in this case. Bubsy, eh, not so cool/smart. Same thing here, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong and I'll accept it. I just reeeeally don't think I'm wrong.
  23. The partnership between Sega and Tommo had nothing to do with game development. It was phone cases and bluetooth speakers, and it happened to occur approximately the same time as an unrelated video game was launched by Sega. You're just assuming that because they both are involved with video games that they must be making a game together. That's not proof, that's speculation. Sega does behind the scenes stuff all the time, yes. So what? Every company does. That doesn't mean anything. You might as well say Bubsy is going to be in Mario Odyssey, because hey, Nintendo does secret stuff all the time, right? And it doesn't matter if it's a "new" Bubsy, the name and character have a reputation. Anyone familiar with Bubsy at all is immediately going to associate him with bad old games. The only publicity Forces would get from including Bubsy as a main character would be bad publicity. Again, not saying that it's impossible or that it's definitely not Bubsy. Just that there's no compelling reason or evidence for me to think it's going to be, especially since all people are going off of is a tweet from a notorious jokester and a four year old business deal.
  24. I mean, that does really seem like a coincidence to me. There's no indication that it's Bubsy other than Sega (not Sonic Team, just Sega) making phone accessories four years ago and a vague silhouette. That's hardly proof. Not saying it ain't Bubsy, it very well could be- Sega does weird shit like that sometimes. There's just not much in the way of evidence for it. (Besides, why would they? No one likes Bubsy. No one. He's got such a terrible reputation; people give Sonic 06 shit all the time and rightfully so, but son of a bitch, Bubsy 3D is the worst 3D platformer ever made and everyone knows it.)
