  1. Thank you very much, mate, for the congratulations and the well-wishes! Honestly, I did not hint much as to our marital status. We figured it better to not disclose it until later, and later we did. Considering when he realised Raiden was his father, perhaps significantly well. Aww, I'm so glad that you're happy about hearing this! Thank you as well, good friend. It means so much to us both. =) Thanks as well for your well-wishes and understanding, Elrandir! I'm glad the surprise wasn't as reeling and heady as a fine scotch or a burly punch to the face, as I somewhat feared it would be. We will attempt to get back to this as soon as able without sacrificing our time with our dear little one. Again, my heartiest gratitude to you all. Not only are you among my favourite roleplayers, but you are in addition my favourite community. Best of wishes to you all as well, and may a smile be worn on your face for the majority of your life.
  2. Best of wishes, Sora's Baby! It is always good to see people being proactive, especially my fellow roleplayers. May your job hunting expedition be fruitful and in an area you really like! On another note, there is a bit of news I must share with you all. Mystics and I are undergoing a big change in life with the birth of our first child (surprise, folks!), so we will be a little sluggish in posting for a little while with a little one taking up much of our attention. I apologise on our behalf for the delay and ask for your understanding. Don't worry, Jynn; you're still our first child.
  3. - Nallan Asad - Nallan watched the two in the shadows of the passersby, identifying something unique about the two of them in the fact that they kept getting into trouble. One flew skybound and commented about a giant heart, which perplexed her, having never heard of this statue before, but the other immediately knew what this was about and went along with him. As much as it pained her to seemingly tail these innocent civilians, Nallan followed all the same. Perhaps they were the clue she was seeking about the cult of Nobodies after all. It was not until later did she realise that something different altogether was in store for the twosome. A boy with an interesting sword attacked and provoked them. Was this a member of the cult she was seeking? What a unique weapon, and powerful as well, considering he shot a sword beam vertically and stunned the skateboarding one. She had her hand on the hilt of her dagger again, but decided against rewinding time once she witnessed no wounds on Sky's body. But what happened there? How could an attack like that even happen and not cause damage? Is it spiritual in nature? And how did that other boy disappear and reappear? Was it a Vanish spell? She internally questioned this as she approached the battle, limbs loose but ready for action. "I'd advise you to lay down your weapon, young man," she cried out, piercing charcoal eyes seeking out answers from the aggressive boy, whether he was still in sprint or not. "Assaulting minors in a street is never fancy fare. Typically I bring people like you down immediately, but because you are young I issue a warning. Begone, or face my blade."
  4. Maxis did kinda grab Jari's only friend by the throat. If a slap results of Jari's response, he'll return in kind with a second tail behind him. You're welcome to do either one, of course, or a completely different wish as well should you desire it. The blessings of having a wish-granting genie is that it can be given to someone else who also desires to give him freedom. Arthur might be a good candidate later on, if Stardustblade and yourself agree with it. Also, here's a minor spoiler for those who want to hear about it: Dang, you wake up to the witching hour regardless of when you start sleeping? Your body has quite the odd alarm clock, unless you accustomed yourself to the time beforehand. I hope you are able to fix this sleep schedule issue. My experience tells me that it is not fun waking up to the same time all the time when you really want to get some rest.

  8. That's certainly unfair if such is the case, but I'm hoping your work will have a heart. I'm assuming you live in Wisconsin? I believe there it is not required to provide a break via the Department of Labour but recommended. I'm wishing you the best, regardless.
  9. -Nallan Asad- Nallan glanced backward one more time to witness the goings-on of those boys yet again -- brothers, she assumed, if judging from their remarkably similar hair and eye colours. It seemed that either one of them was in trouble, if judging from the red-faced businessman that quickly attempted to call guards to the scene, and it was then that she quickly realised that another word held considerable promise for the two: fast. One skidaddled from the premises on foot and swept past the hem of her red tunic, and the other following him with a marvelous, if not showy, display of skateboarding. Interestingly enough, they were heading in the same direction as she was, and as she had little qualms with running into them again while she searched for answers she continued on her way, eyes forward and always looking for someone that looked like they harboured information. ((I wanted to let you all know that I am rather slow when it comes to RPs and it takes me days to post for my characters, so feel free to bypass me when it comes to taking turns.))
  10. - Lord Raiden, Mystran encampment - The balled fists of the ruler of Mystras unravelled as Rabiyu mentioned the Feyslayer, and his eyes perused her in hidden mistrust. How did she know that it was recoverable? Would it not have been assumed that the weapon was taken away with the assailant? The topic was a strange one, though the process was undeniably keen. If the weapon was salvageable, there could have been some trace of understanding about its whereabouts, its owners, or its source materials. Unfortunately, however, he knew two of the three. "The weapon was my own," he answered after a great huff, deciding not to hide information that was common knowledge enough within the human ranks. "It was a relic of great power, a Feyslayer which once killed many individuals with its keen edge. It is interwoven with a special kind of iron not commonly found in the Overworld toxic to many of our magical kin. "I kept the blade as a memento of the dark days when these were used, so that they would never be hefted again, but it was lifted within days of the humans' arrival and stolen from the premises." He groaned and shadowed his eyes with a kneading motion of his hand on his brow. "Had I but shattered that dagger sooner than on the battlefield, Shiva may not have died to its potency." - Rufus Contralto, Mystran encampment - Rufus clung to the campsite as if he was tethered to it, particularly because he was, in fact, tethered to it. At times he cursed the fact that the wispy tail of smoke that emanated from his head restricted his movements, but he felt more akin with the people nearby because of it. He breathed out a sad exhale as he sat in the air, spiralling as if suspended in a bubble and watching the world seemingly gyrate about his head. "Why are memories surging even now?" he murmured to himself, itching his afro-laden scalp in puzzlement. "This second life just baffles me. If I could wish on myself like my prior masters, it would be to restore my memory as I desire it. Taunting me with its ever presence, it shall verily drive me to lunacy." He chuckled and slapped his knee, afterwards replying to himself, "If it hasn't already taken me already, yes, lunacy is definitely at my door. But who is this young woman I see before me? Her auburn hair, her starry eyes, her petite form that can only be thirteen in my mind's eye? Some tragedy must have befallen her for this mayoral speech to cling to me so. Who on earth is she?" He gazed up, which then was straight down to everyone else, and listened to the murmurs of the many. Some were relaxing and returning to their business, while others still remained nearby, with heavy hearts and, sometimes, with an abundance of dialogue. Something within Rufus' fragile brain snapped, and it was no twig. "If only I can think without all of THESE WAGGING TONGUES FLAPPING IN THE BREEZE!" he exclaimed with a harrumph of irritation, pouching his hands beneath his arms and locking them in such a position. Few, if not none at all, seemed to pay him mind. "Fine, I'll get a little higher," he gabbed on further, levitating a little more, "and when I'm done thinking I'll get back with the mistress who holds my lamp. What on earth is she doing in that tent, I wonder? I want to take a peek, but if she catches me, hoo boy, I'd be in for it. Best not risk it, BUT I'M SO DESIROUS TO KNOW." Still he held his position, pouting and levitating, until he appeared more like a crazed bird than a person at ground level.
  11. - Nallan Asad - Landing Pads - The morning started out similarly to most others for Nallah, starting really early and by hitting the ground running. Her sooty eyes perused the crowd as she walked through the busy terminals of Lux Town, attempting to be one with the crowd for the majority of the time until she asked questions of the local populace. Unfortunately for her, there was little relevant information of use, though the population did show some prowess when it came to acrobatics. A boy jumped adroitly from an air carrier to the ground and softly landed in the end. Her hand relaxed from the hilt of a particular Dagger of Time on her hip and she sighed in relief. She did not have to rewind time in order to rush to his aid. Furthermore, she did not have to use up a slot of living sand out of the precious three she had left. She watched the two as they conversed for a time before moving on, reintegrating herself in the flow of people and heading to her next stop. They seemed younger than she was and likely did not carry much information. If they ever were destined to meet, it would have to be later. For now, she had a cult to tuft and find.
  12. - Lord Raiden, Mystran campsite - Raiden eyed the two of the North curiously, unsure how Rabiyu was able to detect the essence of the two royals and internally questioning if she had such a gift to begin with, before clearing his throat. "A small retinue is best, yes, especially after such an instance. Risk to the prince or risk to myself -- neither is worth the trouble of inaction." The addition of Henry in the tent caused Raiden to glance his way, fold an arm onto the other where the owl perched, and look into the distance meditatively. The question both Rabiyu and Henry asked was difficult to voice in a summary, but he made an attempt. "What happened," he started, "was as I stated and more, so I shall start from the beginning. Shiva and I met in the field near Lake Kresnik. She opted for a duel to the death while I desired conversation, and so we entered a parley. I managed to convince her that the peace we both craved did not need to end in bloodshed, and we traded hands in honour of a treaty, but a taunting voice carried on from across the field, sneering at us. It was the assassin of which I spoke, a callous man that traversed the distance faster than I could trace and cut Shiva down from behind. Then . . . the front. He was merciless in his carvings, with no sense of dignity towards the queen. Instead the wicked individual showed delight." Raiden balled his fists so tightly that his fingernails bit sharply into the flesh of his palms. He again looked at his audience, this time with narrowed eyes and a nasty expression. "I intend to avenge her, like I attempted before Soren came bounding in, the buffoon. Turns out he was skulking in the shadows like the other. Whether he was merely onlooking or not, I know not, but his hotheadedness may have saved my life . . . or the assassin's. Of his allegiance, I know not, but part of me wonders if he was in league with the enemy, the assassin and the puppet master or masters behind the scenes. However, that is neither here nor there. All that takes place will come after I reply to the prince's letter." - Jari Coriander, Kilkes Seres' campsite - Jari tried calming himself down as he looked past the visor, but instead of eyes he found only an inky blackness, which only unnerved him further. Coupling that with Maxis' menacing aura and demeanour, he should have been reduced to a pile of fluffy gelatin. But he was not. A spark of anger surged up from the wells of his heart and converted into an angry foxfire sheen in his eye. He stared down Maxis with acrimony. Even if he was very much scared, he realised it was high time to stand up for himself and stop being a coward, for Morana's sake and for Elia's too. This anger only burned stronger when he grabbed Elia by the throat after she tried to help him, but before he could lash out with everything he had in his peppy soul she was dropped, and the armour went aside to sledge his head against a table. Jari leapt up to assist Elia, attempting to keep her upright and raising his small blade in defense of his friend when the clone appeared and disappeared. Jari did not know what to do regarding the living armour. Maxis seemed torn in half, losing himself to madness and barely clinging to sanity like the clone dictated. "You should be sorry!" he shrieked furiously, tears welling in his eyes as his sword lowered to his side. Maxis laid a hand on his only remaining friend, which Jari thought was inexcusable and could never be forgiven. "You can't do that to people, and should feel very bad for that, but if it means you leave me and my friend alone I'll tell you. The blond elf left that way. Now go! Go and don't talk to us again." He whimpered near the end, ears pinned backwards and tail stiff. Amidst the sorrows that he already bore and the scare of a lifetime he recently experienced, he was close to breaking out in hiccup-filled sobs.
  13. I'll make an attempt. This topic isn't my cup of tea, per se, but the characters look interesting, plus we can get this roleplay rolling and thus add more interest to others. Name: Nallan Asad Age: 19. History: Born to a callous but wealthy family of esteemed soldiers in Agrabah, Nallan was firmly educated in the ways of the sword and learned the arts of five such weapons. Emblazoned by a passionate spirit which peeked from beneath her mellow self after a long confrontation with her father, Nallan set off for a few years and found herself ensorcelled by travelling through worlds, including that of the Persian prince, from whom she stole the Dagger of Time while his guard was down. A few more worlds passed by, and eventually she came across tales of a cult of Nobodies. Curious and with an indomitable will, she decided to seek their location out with two trusty blades by her side. Personality: Slow-tongued, dodgy, strong-willed, mellow, and meditative, Nallan is a cold fish who likes to get to the bottom of things, though does not like to get to know people or have others know her. If she allies with somebody, she keeps them at arm's length, and, if they flirt, at sword's length. She does not typically intend to kill, but instead aims to wound whenever possible. She does end up in odd predicaments, however, and considers herself unlucky as a result. Appearance: this but feminine Weapon: Shamshir. Sub Weapon: Dagger of Time (NPC weapon and PC item). Home-world: Agrabah. Species: Human. Alignment: Chaotic Neutral. "One Destiny, Different Sky."
  14. I agree with Elrandir here. Don't fret over not posting; we will just hit a slower period than usual until you get back, and that's all. =) Have fun at the beach and come back in one piece, or mostly in one piece but with cybernetic implants! Either way, make the trip awesome.
  15. Good eye right there. I thought it silly, but I was implying that if Aura were to join maybe the name should change from Beastie Boys to Menagerie. Ammy and Typhon could join too, though Typhon's specialty seems more aligned with being a snarky bouncer than a performer. Actually, he might be the perfect theatrical producer. *snickers*, I could imagine the two right now. One is clawing at the floorboards at the entrance of an inn screaming "I don't want to go adventuring!" The other is gripping the one by the tail and giddily singing "It'll be fun~!"
  16. I had a breakthrough. If they ever meet up, Helios and Jari should travel the world and become hip hop singers. We could call them the Beastie Boys.
  17. Strangely enough, I can only think of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion when hearing about a grey fox. I really should check out the Metal Gear games someday. They seem very fun. As for shipping of characters, I still love the Arthur/Visco romance, personally, as well as the new additions of the Aureole pairing (Aura and Helios) and whatever one may call Henry and Evereth. Curvis and Raleigh, sad to say, probably never really had much of a chance together from the beginning, and right now it is crumbling fast with Curvis' meeting Aqua. With all of that said, place your bets! Which love will stand overtop all others? Five centimos say it's Aura and Helios. I'm really sorry to hear that, bud, but hang in there. Regardless of what your job is, give it a bit more attention and put more effort into all aspects of your work-life-sleep balance. Even if you may not post here very much should you implement this, I can vouch that it will get better with more rest and greater concentration.
  18. - Lord Raiden, flashback - ((That's it for now, folks. I'll respond to others later. For now, I must strike my head against a feathered pillow and get some z's.))
  19. Why did I not see this before? Henry's secretly Joan Jett! Kuni, two words for you. Just two words. Those words are . . .
  20. I'd be for Henry's being with Raiden, though Alderon would probably have to have the final say, given Jynn's desire to meet with him. I cannot remember where their relationship lies, Alderon and Henry. Did they make up their past differences? Rabiyu can join too, as long as Jynn has enough trusted bodyguards as well. Endless, what say you to Jynn receiving a calling card from Raiden? In essence connected calling cards are like letters, but written out and almost instantaneous. I could attach to it a ringtone, too, if you like. (I kid here. =P )
  21. Welcome to the forum side of things, good sir! You'll find us a well-rounded bunch, so feel free to branch out, find friends, and have fun while doing so here. =) Enjoy your stay at the established 5-star hotel and luxury resort known as L'ermitage KH13.
  22. - Lord Raiden, Mystras, at the Mystran encampment - Raiden glanced over the crowd, the silence profound as everyone paid their respects, himself included. He caught a multitude of faces he recognised but neither nodded nor smiled. Such a somber moment was not the time for such kindnesses, but he was thankful for their being here, every one of them. Mariel caught his gaze as well as she slipped through the crowd with a hawk's eyes, ready to ensnare any troublesome individual if they decided to make themselves known. One can never be too careful, especially in war, and Raiden admired the cleverness in her actions. Clearing his throat, his voice continued to boom as he tacked on a final statement. "I thank you for your sentiments for the fallen queen. As long as we hold grip on her memory, she will fade neither in time nor in recollection, and that is my chiefest desire. However, something must be performed so that this murderer of a queen does not achieve his goal: we must make peace with the main body of Kilkes Seres. Even if a bargain was struck between myself and Shiva, it will not be taken into effect until I meet with its future king Jynn, once he is coronated." A white glint caught his eye as it soared above the heads of many and made its way down towards him. Recognising it, he held out his hand and allowed the snowy owl to descend onto his robed forearm. Shiva? he thought to himself, questioning who sent off the messenger bird to him. Raiden plucked the letter from the pouch on its leg with his free hand and hastily read it in a number of seconds before blinking in surprise. Jynn. He found out through his mother that Raiden was his father, and he quickly assessed the situation and came up with a good plan from top to bottom. He really was a bright one. "That was a message from the prince himself just now," he responded, chipper about the auspicious timing of the letter. "He proposed a peaceful meeting with each of the ruling parties, something with which I wholeheartedly agree. While we arrange this meeting, I will give out one command. "Do not instigate any further conflict with those of Kilkes Seres and their allies until further notice. I know that many among you have lost family, friends, and loved ones in this conflict, but this is no time for vengeance or self-sacrifice. There has been enough bloodshed as of late. Thank you." With that, he tucked the letter safely next to his chest, held onto the pouch of the owl so that it did not fly away, and reentered the healer's tent that he previously left. It was time to write two missives: one for a ceasefire and another directly to his son. - Jari Coriander, Kilkes Seres, at the Seres encampment - Jari nodded along, the deepest frown expressible revealing itself on his face as he listened to Elia. He could not disagree. She was right about his being alone for those reasons. Furthermore, it seemed as if she was just as saddened as he was about Morana's passing. He wanted to help her out through this difficult time, to console her, but he felt powerless. He could not summon up the capabilities to console himself, or to fight, or to do pretty much anything. It was in his foxchild nature to run from problems, but running from problems was a huge problem in itself when he wanted to be of assistance. After a moment's pause, Jari summoned enough willpower to open his mouth to speak, but he was cut off by the tumultuous collapse of an outdoor table by a thrown guard. It seemed as if all eyes were focused on the malevolent force that toppled the on-point soldier, and Jari's heart jumped three centimetres and into his throat upon spying Maxis. Is that . . . a living armour?! he thought to himself, attempting to peer within the helmet to make sure someone was inside but unable to do so. Oh gosh, it is. Then he must be the queen's protector, and he's coming this way! Do not panic, do not panic, do not-- Maxis' metallic hand clapping onto his shoulder cut off all train of thought except "PANIC," and Jari froze in place excepting his slacked vocal cords and jaw, which let out a piercing scream of fright throughout the area for a good number of seconds. Perhaps this was not the reply Maxis was hoping for, but it was a reply.
  23. KONCHUS! ALL MY HATE BELONG TO THEM! On the plus side, they're so dang cute. One cannot stay mad at the flopping arthrodires for very long, especially in that TerminalMontage video. I mean, look at 'em! Also, excellent video right there! I really enjoyed it.
