It appears everyone is on the same terms. James offers to go with Jynn to the sheriff's, but Jynn reasonably declines the offer. "Yes, I wish to let the sheriff know about the creatures I saw last night. But I want you to stay and prepare for the night." He shakes James' hand. "Pleasure to meet you." Vanitas offers his Unversed to go with Jynn, but the former declines Vanitas's offer as well. "Thanks Vanitas, but I should be fine." Vanitas apologizes in advance should something happen to them, but Jynn tries to reassure him. "We should be fine. Don't worry." Jynn was about to take his leave, but he then pauses. The three do need to be careful. "However, we don't know what we are possibly facing up against, so stay vigilant." He walks up to Mel and takes the lead. He faces back to Vanitas and James. "I'll return near dusk." Now was a good time as ever to prepare for tonight. Jynn gently pulls Mel's ear towards him and quietly states what he expects. "Mel, I want you to listen to me very carefully. Once the sun goes down, you can reveal your true personality. Should those creatures attack us tonight, I want you to kill them, or drive them away. Do you understand?" Mel gives off a serious nicker. Suddenly a black wing materializes from the horse's side. Jynn immediately tells him to withdraw it. "Not now!" Mel withdraws his wing as commanded. Thankfully, nobody was watching.

A lot of times you need to know what members on this community likes, particularly ones that RP often or most of the time. Like me for example, I like creating original characters and I also love action. Some of my most favorite games are Kingdom Hearts, Monster Hunter, and Pokémon. And like Shard said, you can't be bland and barren, you need to be descriptive about what the story is. All, if not, most of my RP's got a lot of people hooked because I was very descriptive of what I wanted the story to be. Unfortunately, my RP's failed because not everyone was keeping up (mostly me, I'm not the best leader).

I believe he means Jynn's "horse", Melstrome. He's really the only actively mentioned "horse" in the RP (For those who RP with me, you probably know why I put quotes there).

Jynn Venas-Dream Jynn enters the castle and climbs the stairs to his mother's office. A figure seems to be sitting in Shiva's chair. It was the queen herself. "Mother." Jynn walks behind her and tries to start a conversation. "Mother, what are you doing here?" She doesn't reply. Suddenly, someone knocks on the door. Jynn was a bit hurt from the scene, being reminded that his mother had lied to him. He closes his eyes and tries to make it all go away. Jynn Venas-His abode near Mystras Jynn wakes up in his bed. Apparently Mel was able to locate this place without Jynn's help. He sits up while wiping his eyes.

That is very odd. James' Journal wants Vanitas dead after the meeting between the two yesterday. Jynn uses this to come up with a hypothesis. "Hmm. The way you word it makes me think that these Journals are reacting to our daily actions. Yesterday, I was asked to double check the gates leading to the woods. At the same time, I spent a lot of time on my horse, and today it's asking me to take my horse with me to the sheriff's and 'make a choice'. I think in your case, prehaps whatever is behind the Journal did not like you trying to learn about its secrets." Vanitas comes up with two solutions. One, James actually heeds the Journal's instructions and kills Vanitas, or Vanitas fakes his death. Jynn didn't like either idea. He takes a minute to come up with his own solution. After a few minutes, he finally comes up with a plan. "No, don't tell the public, yet." He folds his arms. "James, ignore any entries involving murder." He pauses for a bit. "For today, we should stick to our usual routines. Then, we should meet here and see what develops overnight." He unfolds his arms. "Tomorrow, we should try to search for other Journal users and gather information." He faces the two with a serious looks. "Does anyone have objections?"

Jynn took Vanitas's advice about sharing the incident with the sheriff. "I will make sure to tell them too. Thanks." Vanitas finishes putting Mel's new shoe on and then states the price. Jynn pays him with the suggested amount, and tips him with a quarter sized gold coin. "That's for helping me in your early hours." Just then, another man, James, pulls Vanitas to the side. He was acting strange while doing so, not even saying a word to Jynn. Jynn overheard what James and Vanitas were talking about and decides to interject. "If this conversation has something to do with the Journal, then count me in." Jynn doesn't react to the Unversed curled up to Vanitas.

I'm sorry for not posting, but I'm not feeling that good at the moment. But I will try to post tomorrow morning when I can.

Jynn ties Mel to a poll to keep him still during the visit. Vanitas welcomes him and examines Mel's hoof. Jynn laughs after hearing that Mel seemed to have a Cinderella situation, but the he stopped laughing and crosses his arms. "Well, we were suddenly attacked by some strange creatures. They were bipedal, and they seem to speak our language. I was too interested in Mel's safety that I didn't really care about what they said." He sighs. He does not hide his suspicion supporting the idea that the Journal might have been connected to them. "I wonder if they are connected to the Journal in any way." He looks back at Vanitas. "Sorry. I'm just rambling at this point. But yea, I just need a new shoe for him."

Jynn woke up early as well. He prepared himself for the day with his usual routine, getting dressed, eating, and then feeding Mel. He reaches the shack where his journalis and reads the entry. Take Mel to the town, to the sheriff. Make a choice. Make a choice? What choice. Jynn violently closes the journal. "Can't be specific huh? Damn journal." He puts a halter on Mel's face. "We need to get you another shoe." He leads the horse to the blacksmith, witch was not far from his house. It appears the shop was open, and Jynn did not hesitate to wait, as he wanted the job to be done with before doing what his journal wants him to. He notices one of the workers already firing up the furnace, it was Vanitas. Jynn has been a long time customer of his, especially since Mel's shoes were always done here, and even Jynn's sword was forged here. Jynn happily greets him. "Hey Vanitas."

Jynn has made it back into town, but noticed the creatures weren't following him anymore. Getting Mel to preform a sliding stop, he faces back at the woods. "Odd....... What was that about?" He checks his pocket watch, but something came to his mind. "Are those creatures connected to the journal somehow?" He hears a metallic object drop on the road. Turns out Melstrome has pulled a shoe off. "Mel you clumsy beast." He checks the watch again. It was too late to get him shoed. "I'll have to take you to the blacksmith tomorrow. Let's go home." They returned home with Mel receiving more water and a bucket of grains. Jynn heads inside and falls asleep.

It was sunset, and Jynn has waited the preferred quota. He takes his sword out of the ground and heads back to Mel. As soon as he mounts, the horse turns his head and ears towards a sound. Jynn could detect this as well. Using his senses, Jynn identified seven creatures running towards the duo. It is unknown what they are, but Jynn did not feel like dealing with them. "Ugh....... is this why that stupid journal wants me here? I'm going to pass." He gets Mel to turn back towards the town and reach a gallop. Jynn hurls two orbs of lightning at the ground, acting as mines should the creatures step on or get near them. To make sure Mel attains maximum speed, Jynn sacrifices his saddle to lessen the weight. He hurls it backwards at the creatures.

As soon as Jynn reaches the gates again, he dismounts Mel. "You stay right here." Mel nervously watches as Jynn checks around the gate. After checking, he waits for the sun to fall. He quickly recalls what his duties were. "So, after the sun sets, I need to keep watch for five minutes? Alright then." He draws out his sword and jabs the tip into the ground. He waits patiently for the sun to go down.

Same question to why Cars has talking cars, or why Elsa somehow has ice powers, or even why the Incredibles have superpowers. They just do.

I absolutely hate hearing noises at night. In the past, my house had a slight mouse problem. Every squeak my air unit makes makes me think there's a unwelcome critter crawling around. Lingering Will is a strong second.

Jynn Venas-Dream vs Shadow Jynn Jynn retaliates at the shadow. "You don't know that!" The latter shrugs. "You're right, but you don't either. I'm just an incarnation of your thoughts and doubts." He lunges at the prince with an alarming speed, swinging his sword towards Jynn's side. Jynn managed to parry the incoming attack, but is taken by surprise when the shadow fires an electric orb at him, sending him flying backwards. The prince managed to get back up on his feet. The shadow belittles him. "Give up. You are nothing, and you always were nothing. Your life is meaningless. Nobody cares about you, and they never will." He smirks and gives out another taunt. "Especially since some know about your new and incredible powers." Jynn is heavily triggered, and dashes at the enemy, and slashes at him with the Leviathan. The shadow blocks the attack, initiating a blade lock. Jynn sucker punches the shadow. It laughs. "Hehehahah! Am I wrong?!" He faces Jynn again. "Your only friends are a cat, a horse, a little girl, and a liar." Jynn is incredibly frustrated and angry. "SHUT UP!" He ends the blade lock and somersaults over the shadow and slashes it from the back, with success. It shrieks in pain and dissipates. Jynn growls in anger, but he manages to settle down and push on.

Jynn Venas-Dream Jynn awakens to the sight of Kilkes Seres, all destroyed. The village appears to have burned, and a couple spires from the castle are leveled. It looked as if an apocalyptic event had taken place. The atmosphere was ominous as well. Jynn takes a stroll around town. There was nobody around. He checked inside the homes too, nobody. "What happened here?" He turns away from the house he stood near, and a large mirror appeared in front of him, taking him by surprise. "A mirror? Why is there on all the way out here." Walking up to it, he looks at his reflection, with it triggering regret within him. "I'm a fool for joining the war. Now that I managed to flee, how can I face my allies and friends again? I bet everyone is thinking I'm a coward now........ even Helios and Dawson......." A random voice responds with a echo. "It is because they do." Jynn's reflection moves on its own, reaching its arm out of the mirror, calling a Waking Leviathan of its own. Jynn jumps backwards and summons his own Leviathan. The reflection steps out of the mirror. "Nobody wants a coward to lead a flank....... or rule a kingdom." Jynn snarls at the creature.

Fennel introduces herself. She's a gardener, but she seemed more interested in Jynn's occupation. "I'm Jynn Venas, and this is my 'partner in crime', Melstrome." Mel rapidly nods his head, clapping his lips. "I'm the manager at a small ranch where people rent horses to travel to other towns." He takes a longer look at her. She didn't spark any kind of memory within him, but she still seemed familiar. It was getting late..... And Jynn needed to get back to the gate as soon as possible, but he wanted to get to know Fennel more. Perhaps he could see her again after his duties, or tomorrow. He makes haste and mounts Mel. "I'm sorry to make our introduction brief, but I have to go." He turns Mel towards the road, but looks back at Fennel. "Life's not easy when a book makes you do things, heh." Jynn was not afraid of referencing the journal. He then gets Mel to gallop down the road. "Hope to see you again soon Fennel!"

Sorry for my inactivity as well. Had to be out and about lately.

Dawson-Returning to Jynn Dawson heeded Shiva's words. "I will make sure to do that when he awakens." That was all he had to say. Not only that, a couple of allies had come up with questions about what to do next. He gets Mel to take off and head back to the mountains. Unfortunately, they could not hide from the enemy, as there were no clouds to hide in. Mel had to speed up so nobody can catch the duo. (Sorry the post is so short. I'm working a lot on Jynn's plot at the moment, and life is not being friendly.)

I'll post tonight. Life is getting me lately.

-Jynn Venas- With the theif caught, Varius apologizes to Jynn. "I'm fine. You're just trying to catch a criminal. I'm glad he has been caught. I forgive you." He turns to Mel, who was still nervous. A young woman managed to calm Mel down, while grabbing hold of the reins. Jynn notices this and runs towards her, while apologizing to Varius. "I'm sorry to cut this introduction short, but I need to catch my horse. Good day." He nears the woman. "Ma'am, I am so terribly sorry! He spooks easily sometimes." As he grabbed hold of the reins with Fennel, he takes a moment to look at her face. Does he know her from somewhere? Something about her seems familiar. Not only that, but her expression soothed Jynn's worries, making him blush a little too. He was afraid to scare her away. "I'm sorry about that ma'am....... Anyways, are you alright?"

Jynn returned to town with the thief passing by, but then a bunch of debris hit Jynn and Melstrome. The latter rears, causing Jynn to fall backwards with a loud and hard thud. Mel flees, prompting Jynn to call him back. "Mel, stop!" Thankfully the horse was stopped by a nearby wall next to a garden. Jynn immediately looks towards the person who flung the debris at him, it was Varius, and then to the thief. The sheriff was chasing the thief as well.
