  1. Glad to see another big fan of animated shows! Gravity Falls is hands down one of my top three favourite shows of all time!
  2. Good to meetcha! I'm glad you decided to come back to the site, though I'm sorry that such unfortunate circumstances caused you to leave the site in the first place. That couldn't have been easy and I'm glad you were finally able to return. I'm pretty new to the site, having joined in January of 2018, and so far the community has been amazing, so I hope you're able to settle back in again without any issues. And by the way, there's no shame in being an older fan of the series. Heck, I'm 26 (turning 27 in August) and I've been with this series literally since its inception back in 2002. I saw the commercial on TV and asked for the game for christmas, and 16-17 years later, here we are. So you're not alone on that front. Feel free to message me if you're looking to chat; I love meeting new people and making new friends. I guess in short, what I'm trying to say is welcome back to the site! I can't wait to get to know you better!
  3. I noticed this yesterday but didn't get around to commenting. It had me for about half a second and then I was like "oh, nice try guys!"
  4. ^This. If I've learned anything from being a fan of stuff it's that there is no possible way to satisfy all the fans. Every single person has a slightly different idea of what they want, which means that there will always be disappointment in the fanbase. Take, for example, the idea of Star Wars in Disney. Lots of people are desperate to see Star Wars make an appearance. I am not one of those people. Quite the opposite, in fact. Star Wars is not a Disney original series. Disney acquired it when it bought Lucasfilm. I would much prefer that Disney stick to including just its own stuff in the Kingdom Hearts series. I was also fine without Pixar properties, but Disney and Pixar were partners before the latter was purchased by the former, so I wasn't upset when they announced the Toy Story and Monstropolis worlds for KHIII. And I know I'm not alone on this. Also, in terms of the whole Final Fantasy characters thing, I think a fan service model would be a recipe for disaster. Why? Because all the fans want different FF characters. Some want more Cloud and Sephiroth, others want characters from XII, and others want characters from the earlier games. Etcetera, etcetera. I for one would love it if I never had to see Cloud and Sephiroth in this series again. Why not include Terra and Kefka? Or Zidane and Kuja? I don't want to go into a rant here so I'll leave it at that. The point is, there is literally no way to satisfy everyone. Honestly, I think Nomura is doing great with his own thing. There's nothing in the Kingdom Hearts series that has brutally disappointed me yet. There have been disappointments but they've been mostly nitpicks. I'm pretty lenient when it comes to these things; as long as the story doesn't get too stupid (by my standards anyway, I know some people think the story has been stupid for a while) I'll stick with the series. With Nomura staying at the helm and doing his own thing.
  5. Ugh. I would just so rather play it on my PS4. I'm so tired of having to charge my phone every time I play. The game saps my battery like you wouldn't believe.
  6. Another good example. I completely forgot about that. I don't remember doing that ride, although our trip to Disney was 17 years ago so a lot of my memories are hazy.
  7. Lol, you actually had me until I read to the end of the first part. But that's what I assumed when I saw Ventus with the Missing Ache. I get the feeling they just want to wrap up the story of Union Cross so they can focus on the next step of the series on consoles.
  8. I don't think Avatar will show up in Kingdom Hearts. Even if they do end up including Star Wars and Avengers, which I still think is unlikely, I think Fox properties is out of bounds for Kingdom Hearts. In regards to Disney buying Fox, I'm not happy about it. I mean, technically Disney now owns Family Guy,/all of Seth MacFarlane's shows, The Simpsons, and Bob's Burgers among a ton of other stuff. Which I find very concerning since DIsney plans to pull all their properties from Netflix when they launch their streaming service and I would rather not pay more money for a disney specific streaming service. I know a lot of people think that Fox won't be doing R rated movies and shows anymore due to being bought out by Disney. I don't think we need to worry about this, since Disney has done R rated films through Touchstone and Miramax. And Alien had better stay R rated, because those movies are awesome! I agree completely with everything you said, except for one smaller thing. While I agree that we probably won't see Xenomorphs in Disneyworld, they could do something for Alien. In the early 2000s Disneyworld had a ride that really pushed the envelope called the "Extra-terror-restrial Encounter" that I'm pretty sure was inspired by the Alien franchise. That being said, it didn't last long because a ton of people complained, so maybe I'm just grasping at straws here. Honestly though I would love to see them do something like that. We were lucky enough to make our trip to Disneyworld while the Extra-terror-restrial Encounter was still open and it was awesome! I guess when it comes down to it though, the deed has been done so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. And above all, hope for the best.
  9. I agree that none of them were actually traitors, since they were just doing as they'd been instructed. I think the viewer was intended to understand why they were all keeping secrets and not to harbour resentment towards any of the character. I think the MoM wanted them to view each other as traitors in order to ensure that the keyblade war happened as planned.
  10. I'll read pretty much anything but my favourite genre is Fantasy. Sci fi is always great too.
  11. I always just assumed that they were all intended to be seen as traitors in their own way because they were all instructed to keep secrets. Invi was reporting on the other three to Ira at regular intervals, Gula had an extra page that he was instructed not to tell anyone about, Ava was training her Dandelions in secret, and Aced felt that he deserved the job of the new leader rather than Ira. I think the MoM intentionally gave them their roles and instructed them to keep them secret in order to create suspicion about a traitor, but that all of them would fit the description of a traitor because they were all keeping secrets from each other. The only one that was technically not keeping secrets was Aced, but I think that the MoM didn't give him anything to hide because he knew Aced's arrogance would cause him to become a traitor on his own. Also, in terms of watching Back Cover after watching the entirety of KHIII, I agree that it provides a very eye-opening experience. I'm looking forward to watching it again once we know where the series goes next.
  12. Has anybody else been watching Brooklyn Nine Nine season 6? Soooooo glad NBC saved the show! And it's been renewed for season 7! NINE-NINE!
  13. I haven't seen anything to confirm this, but I suspect that we're reaching the end of Union Cross' story. It seems like it's building up to a climax and a conclusion. Still have my fingers crossed that they'll make a console port of the story and/or make a console game picking up where the mobile game left off.
  14. I'll probably try crocheting something, if I can find the time. I've been meaning to try making one of the shadow heartless for a while. Or maybe try making a heartless hat. And I'll probably follow Mkucherina's lead and watch Parks and Rec (my favourite show). Or maybe Brooklyn Nine Nine.
  15. YES. All of what you just said! Honestly, Days has always felt like one of the weaker entries in the series to me and I think it's because there were so many more things they could have done with that premise but they only scratched the surface. And to be fair, I imagine they could only fit so much on the SD card. A remake could add so much more and give us so much insight into the stuff that went on behind the scenes. We really need more of Axel's experiences during the game because he was in the organization way before Roxas and Xion. In fact in 3D it was stated that he and Saix were there when it first formed. Imagine the things he knew that we didn't learn about! And the relationships he had with the other members.
  16. I like to think that a Days remake is something they still want to do. I remember that Nomura said the original plan when they came up with the idea for HD 1.5 Remix was to remake Days in full HD. Like not just the cinematic, but a fully fledged remake. But in the end they ran out of time. Or money. Or space on the disc. Or all three. They ran out of something. Regardless, I remember he mentioned that and it gives me hope that he still wants to do it. Oh, and in the KHII novel Axel played cards with Luxord. Apparently he was frustrated because he kept losing haha.
  17. I know that KHIII is technically the end of the Xehanort Saga, but I really hope we'll get some more info on his and Eraqus' history. There's still so much we don't know. So I hope you're right and he'll be expanding on the lore in the future.
  18. It was a tough call. I was stuck between TWEWY and Nier Automata for like 10 minutes. In the end though, Nier Automata won out. But TWEWY comes in a SUPER close second.
  19. I am in desperate need of some news on The Last of Us Part II. And since that's one of the most anticipated games on the platform, I'll be surprised if we don't get anything on it. I don't really care about anything else, to be honest.
  20. If they were to do this I would totally be on board. The game was great, but there were things that definitely could have been improved, not the least of which was the panel system. It was an interesting concept, but having to stick every single thing onto that panel system was very frustrating. I constantly found myself having to weigh the advantages of having either more magic or more items, and I did not like it. Not that I want them to scrap the panel system, just tweak it and make it more efficient. The combat could use some work too. If they were to go ahead with a Days remake, I would want them to do a kind of BBS thing where Axel, Roxas and Xion are all playable in their own story campaigns. Axel kept getting sent out on recon but we never really got to see what he was doing while he was gone, aside from a couple of brief scenes. And it was implied that Xion was having issues with her connection to Sora during missions with other members, but we never saw this aside from that one mission with Axel and Xigbar, and at that point it was really late in the game. My point is, the original game had some annoying holes that I think could have been filled if they'd made Axel and Xion playable in the main story in addition to Roxas.
  21. I imagine it will be an enhanced version of Persona 5. Either that or maybe a sequel picking up where the previous game left off.
  22. The Dual Disc could turn into a pair of discs resembling the ones used to store program information on The Grid. Sora could both hurl them as projectiles and use them as close range weapons similar to chakrams. The Circle of Life could create claw-like attachments on Sora's hands and feet (like the blizzard blades on the Crystal Snow keyblade) but maybe Sora would run on all fours similarly to Anti-form in Kingdom Hearts 2 and attack like an animal to mirror the lions in the Pride Lands. Attacks are thunder-based, perhaps?
