Who is your favorite and least favorite characters in the KH series?
My favourite character is and always has been Axel. I love everything about him; his personality, his design, his character arc. My least favourite would have to be a toss-up between Kairi and Xion. I find that both of these characters have been horribly mishandled throughout the entire series, and the fact that they're voiced by the same voice actress whom I've never liked doesn't help.

Think we’ll get any Terra and Aqua’s backstory in the episodes to come?
It would certainly be nice to see some more info on them, but I doubt they'll include anything like that in Dark Road or Kingdom hearts X. It is something I'd like to see included somewhere, though; we know how Ventus came to Eraqus, but where did Aqua and Terra come from? Were they orphans, or did their parents send them to train with Eraqus? Agreed. Of all the characters the series has to offer, he's among the ones that need the most fleshing out. And Jason Dohring's consistently flat line deliveries do not help.

Which recent original animated Disney show is your favorite?
Gravity Falls is one of my all-time favourite shows, and I also love Star vs. The Forces of Evil. I haven't got around to checking out Amphibia or The Owl House yet, but I've heard they're both really good (particularly The Owl House. They really should consider adding some of these shows to Kingdom hearts; they would fit so well.

Which Silver Age Disney film would you like to see become a world in Kingdom Hearts?
I have to say The Jungle Book just because it's been cut from the series multiple times (it was pretty far along in development when it got cut from Birth By Sleep). I also think they could do some interesting things with the world, and a boss fight with Shere Khan would be pretty cool. That being said, though, I would also like to see The Sword in the Stone make an appearance as a world, rather than just one character appearing in a world original to the Kingdom Hearts series.

A rhythm game? Awwwww! Oh, well. I guess it was only a matter of time before I skipped an entry. Hope everyone else enjoys it, though. I will say though that the Kairi section of the trailer looks super intriguing! I'll be keeping an eye on that for sure.- Of the 4 newly revealed Dark Road characters, who are you looking most forward to learning more about?
Lol same here. If any of them are Luxu, I would bet it's Bragi. Luxu went by Braig in BBS, and if you rearrange the letters in Bragi, you get Braig. Could be a coincidence, but it seems intentional to me.- Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory logo found in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road website files
Honestly since all the handheld gaming consoles have since been discontinued, I think we should expect to see at least one more mobile game in the KH series. Games on home consoles probably take a lot more time than on handhelds, so if they want to keep doing handheld entries, mobile is the only way to do it. They could do it on the Switch I guess, though.- Kingdom Hearts Dark Road website reveals new screenshots and information about the game

- Which '90's Disney film would you like to see become a world in Kingdom Hearts?
Probably Pocahontas, although I would also like to see Max Goof make an appearance in the series so that Goofy can have a genuine family member for a change.- Theory about Brain's Identity
I have heard the theory that Brain is an ancestor of Eraqus, but I've always figured that Eraqus was a descendant of Ava since she wasn't present in the Keyblade Graveyard at the end of KHIII. I thought maybe Ava's mission was to have a child in order to ensure that a blue blood would be present during Sora's time.- RUMOR: Kingdom Hearts CG-animated series allegedly in the works at Disney+
I still don't believe this one. Until I get an official announcement from Disney and/or Square Enix, it just doesn't seem plausible to me. It would be cool, though.- Theory about Brain's Identity
Hey, guys. So my recent playthrough of Kingdom Hearts III has sprouted a few theories and new questions in my mind about the future of the series as well as the identities of certain characters. Now, one character who I am desperate to learn more about is Brain. During this playthrough I had a kind of crazy thought, but I do think it's possible: could Brain be Yozora's true identity? I know this probably seems pretty flimsy, but hear me out. Of all the new Union Leaders introduced in Unchained X, Brain is the only one whose fate we know nothing about. Ventus somehow got transported many years into the future, Ephemer's physical body perished and his heart remained in the Keyblade Graveyard, Lauriam returned as a Nobody (along with Elrena), and while this isn't confirmed, it has been heavily implied that Skuld was the test subject whom Lea and Isa befriended in the basement of Ansem's castle in Radiant Garden. So what happened to Brain? When we look at the scene near the end of the Limit Cut episode just before the Yozora boss fight, Yozora says "This isn't what I really look like." This is further reinforced by Sora's conversation with the Nameless Star in the Final World, who says "He's been changed beyond recognition, his heart replaced with another's." Sora confirms in the Limit Cut that she was referring to Yozora, but this indicates that Yozora is not his true identity. I realize this theory is pretty flimsy as it's just speculation at this point, but this is the most convincing explanation I've come up with so far for Brain's mysterious absence in the main series. What do you guys think?- Keyblade Graveyard Before the Keyblade War
I agree completely. I'm surprised no one has ever asked the question before, to be completely honest. I really hope the series explains this one because I reeeeeally wanna know.- Which hero do you think could become a good villain in a future Kingdom Hearts title?
I honestly think Sora would be a great villain. As we've seen, light and darkness exist within everyone, which means that Sora being overcome by the darkness isn't totally out of the question. Riku is a great example of what can happen when someone puts their faith in the dark rather than the light.- Keyblade Graveyard Before the Keyblade War
Yeah, the labyrinth. When you travel through it, there are what appear to be doorways along the walls. There are no actual doors in them, but I can't help but wonder if they used to be entrances to homes or something. I think the holy land theory is more likely though, as the labyrinth easily could have been some kind of temple for prayer and/or worshipping the light and whatnot. This mystery is going to bother me for the foreseeable future, lol.- Keyblade Graveyard Before the Keyblade War
That's a good theory too. Maybe it was just a wasteland that connected two populated worlds beforehand. The only issue is that doesn't explain the buildings and sturctures. But this is certainly a possibiity too. I agree that they should explore this in Dark Road. Of all the original worlds we've seen so far, this one is the most mysterious to me. Although I still think that there's more to The World That Never Was, but that's a different topic.- Keyblade Graveyard Before the Keyblade War
Oh, I like that theory. Kingdom Hearts 3 really added to the mystery because of the structures and ruins. Maybe it was a sort of holy land, with temples and stuff for people to worship the light or something? And then when Keyblade Wielders died they would be put to rest there and their keyblade plunged into the ground?- Keyblade Graveyard Before the Keyblade War
Hey, guys. So I've been replaying Kingdom Hearts III and tonight I had a thought while I was doing the Union Cross segment (which is amazing). During this scene, I had a thought. I know that for a long time, there was a fan theory that the Keyblade Graveyard was the remains of Daybreak Town. But now that it's been confirmed that Scala Ad Caelum was constructed on top of the remains of Daybreak Town, that begs the question: if the Keyblade Graveyard isn't the remains of Daybreak Town, then what exactly is it? Unless I'm mistaken, we have no information on the purpose of this world before the Keyblade War. In fact, I imagine the world's original name isn't even "The Keyblade Graveyard" because the world existed before the actual war took place. So what do you guys think? What was this world's purpose before the Keyblade War? Did people live there? The ruins and structures that we explore in Kingdom Hearts III make me think that yes, the world did have at least some inhabitants. And if it did, who were they? Will we learn more about the world's history and purpose before the Keyblade War in KHUX?- Kingdom Hearts Dark Road delayed; More Announcements coming in Early June
- My Relationship with Kingdom Hearts
So I don't usually post things like this, but I've been thinking about this a lot with everything that's happened so far this year and I wanted to get it off my chest. Buckle up, everyone; this is going to be a long one. Here's the thing about my relationship with this series; I actually don't think the story is all that great, at least technically speaking. The story is convoluted and insanely complicated, and it's been clear for a while that they've been making things up as they go. My boyfriend and I were talking about the series' story and he pointed out that at this point it seems like the series isn't very welcoming towards newcomers. More specifically, if someone new wants to try out the newest release, there's no way to do that without playing through the rest of the series first. He's never been interested in the series, and at this point he just feels that it just isn't worth all that work at this point. Which is fair. Now, this isn't to say that I don't like the story; I love it! I just don't think they were smart about writing it. There are also some more minor issues with the series that I just plain ignore, and I know that I am biased when it comes to the series. I've known for a while that two of the major elements that kept me so passionate about the series since its inception were nostalgia and my mother. In 2000, when I was 8, my parents bought a Playstation 2 along with a few PS1 games. I was hooked instantly, playing Spyro 2 constantly and making it the first game that I ever 100 percented. Fast forward to 2002, when I saw a commercial on TV for a new game from Squaresoft called Kingdom Hearts. I was mesmerized instantly upon seeing the disney characters, and at Christmas it was waiting for me under the Christmas tree. Kingdom Hearts instantly became my favourite game, and I felt a special attachment to it because it was the first console game that was truly mine. To my great surprise my mother became a huge fan of it as well, starting up her own file and playing through the game herself. She loved sharing theories with me about where the game would go and what twists would happen. As the years went by I continued to follow the series closely, but with the release of Kingdom Hearts 2 my mother lost interest. She hated Kingdom Hearts 2's story and gameplay, and our connection over the series was restricted only to the first entry. I also got older and our relationship became somewhat strained; she didn't understand my interests in anime and video games and I subsequently stopped trying to share my interests with her. But we could always talk about the first Kingdom Hearts game and reminisce about how fun it was to play. When Kingdom Hearts 3 came out last year, she even expressed interest in trying it out when she and my dad came up to visit. Fast forward to 2020. At the beginning of this year, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. Despite going in for surgery to remove the tumor a few weeks later, she passed away a month later. Shortly after my boyfriend and I returned home to go back to work, I started a new game in the first Kingdom Hearts in my mother's memory and 100 percented it for her. This subsequently turned into a playthrough of the entire series because I have no self control, and also because we'd been laid off at that point due to COVID so I had a lot more free time. But it was during this series playthrough that I discovered something. When I play a Kingdom Hearts game, the connection to my mother feels stronger. Our shared love of the original Kingdom Hearts is one of my fondest memories from my childhood, and I'm so happy that we had that. Ironically, my mom always insisted that video games were antisocial, (unless they were multiplayer) and that they didn't serve much purpose aside from entertainment. But I believe now, more than ever, that they can be powerful emotional connectors and provide comfort in challenging times. Kingdom Hearts is a beloved franchise that has become so important to me, but it wasn't until recently that i realized just how much of an impact it has had on my life. I sometimes wonder how my mother's and my relationship would have ended up if I hadn't gotten the game and we'd never developed that connection. And don't get me wrong; my mother and I had a good relationship by the end, albeit with a few remaining bumps. She and my boyfriend always butted heads, and she never truly accepted the fact that I moved to another province to be with him. But Kingdom Hearts was always there, an unbreakable strand that connected us. Sorry for the long rant; this has been on my mind for a few weeks now and I wanted to get it out. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading.
