Talk about having a complicated story... imagine explaining that, *takes deep breath* Sora unlocked his heart in KH1 and created his Nobody and his Heartless, however Sora was able to be restored to his original body after coming into contact with Kairi who had a piece of Sora's heart inside her. Sora's Nobody, Roxas, was captured by Organization XIII but could not align well with the Organization's goals because of his memories of Sora, therefore the Organization made a replica of Roxas, Xion, who was essentially a puppet that needed to absorb Roxas and take his place in the Organization, absorbing Sora's memories and effectively replacing Sora and Roxas both. However due to Xion containing Sora's memories she began to also rebel against the Organization after forming a friendship with Roxas and another Organization member, Axel. Due to this Xion rescued Roxas from being absorbed by forcing him to defeat her in battle, allowing Roxas to absorb her instead. Then, somehow, she gained a body, grew a heart, lost that heart, and formed a Nobody herself, which then gets possessed by Xehanort. *Exhales* I sincerely hope that isn't the case, there is only so much the human mind can comprehend

With her lines being canonized in the Orchestra Tour and her appearance in Dream Drop Distance, along with the recent screenshots that most agree to be her, I believe it's safe to confirm that Xion will be making a return. Overall it actually makes sense for her to be a Xehanort Vessel as well, since her entire purpose originally was to serve as a replacement for Roxas in Organization XIII. Going forward to KH3, if the True Org. has goals of somehow extracting Roxas then it's not too far off to say that also extracting Xion, or even making her a new replica, is possible. I think the next trailer will confirm for us visibly 100%, but there's enough evidence to support her return before we even see it. Edit: For comparison's sake, I found a decent side profile of Xion and included the recent screenshot from the Big Hero 6 trailer, if that's not a match I can't imagine who else it could be..

That's the biggest issue with it being Xion, the story would have to fit the explanation of her returning and how she even could return and then somehow fit her into a already crowded roster. The game is already expected to be lengthy but just shoving so much story into a packed game like this and bringing back characters for what seems like the sake of appearance seems disingenuous at best.

I think we'll have a better answer when we see more, I really think it's Lingering Will but as you said you can't really make it out..

I'd admit that of the models shown thus far the characters that are original to the series need the most work. Square is obviously working on them on a day-to-day basis but perfecting those models should be the priority when showing them in trailers. Seeing Riku yet again with different hair is a bit discouraging, as if they can't decide on what exact they like, same can be said for Young Xehanort who seemingly is improved and altered with each new trailer. I'm overall happy with the amount of polish that is going into it and I believe that Square will continue to further polish the game up into release.

Most people think that it's Xion, although nothing is confirmed at this point.

This definitely resembles Final Form but it's also different. It's probably KH3's version of it, but it may be something else entirely.

I'm not sure about the Norted Xion either, but considering the return of Roxas it's more likely than not.

Sora is standing with Mickey in the Graveyard, so I would assume that this scene in particular takes place after his journey into the RoD with Riku. Going by that I would guess that the visit to the Graveyard would be in the later part of the game. You can't quite make it out but it appears that the Lingering Will is directly in front of Sora, and this(Lingering Will) being a potential Guardian of Light, it make more sense to me at least that's it's closer to the end of the game...

Since it went by so fast I thought I catch every scene that was shown to be able to get a better idea of what's going on. Apologies for Aqua's, I tried but couldn't get a still frame captured. I'm particularly interested in the chessboard, I wonder what exactly it's symbolizing. Please share your thoughts!

Definitely agree that there's been a huge focus on Smash and Nintendo doesn't need to show it off so much, people are going to buy the game. What I wish they would show is Prime 4. A actual trailer for the game would be amazing and it would be something new to the Switch, demonstrating that Nintendo isn't just porting games and dropping Indies while everyone waits for the triple A titles to release. Metroid should be and once was considered a triple A franchise itself and it's high time Nintendo gives it time in the spotlight in order to give back to the franchise the impact it once carried.

I loved the building of Gummi Ships and I actually enjoyed the different ways I could tinker and customize it over the travel and gameplay of the routes between Worlds. It still holds a appeal for me and I for one am very happy to see the return of Gummi sections in KH3. I loved unlocking better weapons and parts over the course of the game and it added another sense of depth to KH that seemed a great, if quirky edition to games that already had deep progression, particularly regarding KH2.

Let's not forget guys he did say that the Final world is going to be one Original to KH3 and that it's going to be an accumulation of everything he's always wanted to put in a World. This makes it unlikely if not downright not happening that the final world would be a Disney one. I'm also sure that we won't be seeing /too/ much of it, if at all because he states that he wants players to be able to discover it for themselves. I doubt he'll just be like "Here it is guys!" On that note we haven't even seen the entire scope of each individual world revealed so far..so pertaining to the Final World I doubt we'll see more than a few areas to satisfy curiousness.

Critic reviews for Dragon Quest XI were released today and currently the game stands at 88% on Metacritic, giving it generally universal appeal. However in reading a few of the reviews myself (both the positive and negative) it seems the biggest gripe for the game is that it's more of the same. It's a homage to DQ games and JRPG's and therefor doesn't expand on any rooted formulas for the genre. At this point if DQ XII were to release in say..oh the next 3 years or so and didn't evolve people even including long time fans such as myself would be disappointed. Square I'm sure would see this exasperation in the fanbase but would they view it has enough evidence to evolve DQ? My suggestion is before even making the attempt to stick in tradition Square instead makes the changes necessary to DQ that DON'T take away what gives the series it's appeal but modernizes the formula and changes the story from a typical Save The World JRPG to something else that we wouldn't expect in a DQ game. In doing so Square could continue to pay homage to the franchise itself and expand upon the legacy simultaneously..and for myself and many others that would be enough to show that they are listening to us as fans and want to keep the series dear to those who cherish it.The modern gaming world only pays so much to nostalgia before it becomes more of a relic that appeals to only long time fans, and DQ is too impactful and esteemed to die out because it refused to evolve. I hope Square understands this and will keep it to heart when creating the next game, it will always have it's supporters and it's past but it's future is just as important.

I'm glad that the original Worlds for the game have been kept under wraps.. Even if there only happens to be the one it's the last world and it would take away too much anticipation IMO from the game's conclusion.

That Troll remark really hit the nail on the head for me...He was misled the fans in the past before and by the way he stated that their will be some events in KH3 that will cause strong reactions... I'm sure he's saying that by the time the game ends the overall feeling of the conclusion will not be grim..but happier.

Seeing as we already encountered the issue earlier on with Marluxia (regarding the "True" Organization), I'm glad Nomura takes this issue of localization very seriously. It's also interesting that he implies that one version can be better than the other..implying that the English team can take the source Japanese script and glean something that yields greater comprehension in their translation.

All of the above actually...settings in games that can pull all of that are the really great ones
