This isn't a question of whether or not he will be killed or not, but rather...should he be. A friend of mine and I have debated this time and time again and i wanted some other points of views. He says the evidence is everywhere. I say the only evidence that points to him is Nomura stating some characters weren't returning after KH3. I don't see this as Riku's final outing. He JUST became a Keyblade Master. He JUST got a new Keyblade. Sure, his arc is finished, but that doesn't mean he can't get a new one. Besides, a game without the Destiny Island trio is breaking the trope of...well Trios. We all know Riku can't be replaced. They all started this adventure together and it would be silly to start the next one with 2/3s of a "trio". For me, a redemption arc is considered good until the redemption ultimately ends in a sacrifice. To me that's just lazy writing. Riku wanted the power to protect others. He can't protect them if he sacrifices himself. I mean he could. but after the sacrifice how is he protecting his friends? Now that he finally has the power to protect them, why give that up? I just don't see Riku as the one to go. I don't think i could support writing him off as a sacrificial lamb just to further Soras story. I'd be very disappointed.

We'll be getting some info. I don't know what it could be. Maybe some cast announcements or more gameplay in a world we haven't seen much of. Like Corona and Olympus. We might be getting a trailer at the X018 Event in Mexico City though.

I'm still on the fence that we haven't even scratched the surface. It's a JRPG after all. It's damn near impossible to see even 10% of the game before launch. There's just too much content. There's still so much we don't know about. We don't even know about ANY of the systems in the game or how they will work. We don't know how Gummi Ships will work, how leveling keyblades will work, if the FF characters are still in, world quantity, keyblade quantity...etc. We still haven't seen all of the characters lol. They've only shown us surface things and only a fraction of the story elements. Trust me, other game companies show off MUCH more by the time their games release. This game has been in development for a really long time. I think it's because of that that people believe we've seen a lot. It's because we aren't used to getting barely anything at all.

Hoping we get a trailer reveal here. Would do well to promote KH heavily during this event so that xbox fans would care.

My main reasoning behind Luxu is the little secret MoM told Luxu. There's a reason the audience couldnt hear it. Even the "You'll see" line bothers me because we don't know if that's actually for Luxu or us. I don't believe he opened the Box, but as far as getting information it isn't out of the question. If he's just watching then who's to say he wasn't told to watch because the MoM knew a certain event was coming that needed to be witnessed? Recorded even? Luxu has an important role to fulfill and i doubt it's just to watch. He will do more im sure of it.

My immediate assumption was that it was Luxu or Lauriam. My immediate assumption was that it was Luxu or Lauriam. Luxu, because as far as we know, the Foretellers and Luxu were the only ones aware of a Master. Then again there's no real reason to believe this is actually taking place during the KHUX timeless, but since it's presented her it's a logical assumption. Still, Luxu would be the only one left alive, and the box is the only thing connecting Luxu and Maleficent so far. Perhaps he had to set this trap in order to send Maleficent home due to the Masters orders. Luxu didn't have knowledge of the future, but may have knowledge of this event. My argument for Lauriam is pretty weak. I present it as a possibility because since this certain event happened because Maleficent went back in time, who's to say no one else can do the same? We "thought" that rewritting history couldn't happen, but this confirms that it can, just not in certain worlds. We know why we can't also. Perhaps Xehanort planned even farther ahead and sent Lauriam back in time after returning him into a nobody again just for the purpose of bring Ven to the present (BBS) while also tasking Lauriam to create the trap for Maleficent to make sure she can fulfill her duties in 3.

Normally i'd agree, but you could do the same in KH1 minus any abilities you have equipped.

Personally? No i don't think it's a bad thing. I believe it was a counter to how people exploited the whole "Short Hop, Combo, Finished, Land, Short Hop, Repeat". THAT made the game incredibly easy. They removed that design post KH2 and honestly it has made the games more difficult. I mean look at the LW fight in Fm2. If that game was as floaty as BBS and onwards, you completely make the Cheese way obsolete. I think it was a good thing in the long run. It was only an issue because the KeyKeepers kept bringing it up and people jumped on the bandwagon.

I don't think we've seen news anywhere about what Reconnect Kingdom Hearts means and we are about 3 months out to release. Anyone have any updated theories? I personally think it involves most of the heavy plot points we are going to experience during KH3. Over the years we thought they were random, but if you compare each time we've seen "Reconnect KH" it actually connects to something important that's been shown/teased in KH3 promotions and interviews. What do you guys think? Nomura has said in the past that he knew where the story was going to head, but needed to spread details throughout the games before he got there. We first got Reconnect Kingdom Hearts back in Birth By Sleep. Is Nomura godlike?

I've only made a few topics and i've replied to many already, but i just wanted to say hey and throw out a little..."want" that i have. But first, i love talking anything Kingdom Hearts. Speculation, Theories, WHATEVER. (Minus Shipping. lul). I love me some Smash Bros, Sonic, Ninja Gaiden, Phoenix Wright, Nonary Games, Danganronpa, and many many other franchises. I love everything across the board in terms of genres. Also, Roxas is life. Never forget it. East Coast in the USA is where i call home. 24 Years old and only going upwards! I'm hoping i'll be a welcomed addition in the near future. Trying to build a YT channel for the next generation of Kingdom Hearts fans and make the community even bigger. I made a Status the other day basically saying: "I really want to get together with some freshly new KH Youtubers and create a new group for the next generation of Kingdom Hearts players. The Next Saga is going to be upon us sooner or later and i want to be ready!". I'm 100% serious about this. I want people that are starting out fresh that are either new to the series or just starting fresh on Youtube to have a new kind of community going into the next KH saga. It was partially inspired by the KH streaming community The Keyblade Army. While this isn't a direct response to them, but i did notice some people were disappointed that they couldn't join this group of streamers and it just made me want this more. The Keybladers of the Next Generation. I'd love to see fresh new Youtubers doing what they enjoy the most with other new fans or youtubers. The Key Keepers and other veteran youtubers are all the old heads in the community, but fresh faces would be awesome. We can be the next big generation of Youtubers/Streamers/Theorists for KH4 and onwards! Well that's my inspiration for starting with Youtube and hopefully i can help find people here that wouldn't mind creating/joining this potentially big movement. That's all i really have to say guys. Obviously most people will think this is the fight where the player tries to save Aqua. My question is, would Nomura knowingly lay out all of the pieces to the puzzle before the game comes out? With all of the footage that has been released, anyone can make the assumption of what's going on with Aqua.
