As for avatars I've primarily had Ruby, I use Blake when I'm grumpy/tired/stoic, and I tried out a Weiss avatar for a day

Skai repliedUm, I'm pretty sure hedgehogs were just people who liked hedgehogs. It probably came from the cute animal thread and Weiss made it into a bigger thing, which is awesome. They ended up having a war with Power Rangers, Transformers, Bronies from a past KH13 war, and Porcupines? I know there was many others involved, but according to Weiss, 90% of KH13 (90% of active members) liked Hedgehogs.

Power Rangers came somewhere around the same time as Hedgehogs if not after.
Porcupines were a small group that lasted in one small thread in response to Hedgehogs.

I think I'm going to start on a competitive team for Pokemon OR soon... I have no clue what I want to use aside from Feraligatr, but it's apparently not very good in the competitive scene. Then again, people said the same for Ness in older Smash games, and my Ness was feared in my Smash group...
Robbie the Wise repliedFeraligatr is still plenty viable it's just not as common because people use prefer to use pokes that fill it's niche better. Access to Dragon Dance and Swords Dance make it plenty powerful.

I've never heard of it being good, and I remember it being lower in the tier list whenever I'd look at those (I'm a big supporter of tiers not being completely definitive, but at the same time, Pokemon ones do seem to be rather accurate since this is an RPG instead of a fighting game where skill and reaction time come into play as well). I guess I'll go through with Feraligatr after all, then. Thanks!
Robbie the Wise repliedThe thing to remember is Pokemon tiers are often based usage not necessarily how good the pokemon is. Feraligatr might be outclassed but some pokes but with the right set it can still put in work. It definitely makes a nice physical sweeper.
Robbie the Wise repliedFor competitive battling speed is always going to be a factor especially for sweepers. Being able to outspeed your opponents is could be the difference between a 2HKO and being revenge killed. Feraligatr likes to hit hard and fast so investing in speed and attack is important especially if you're running Swords Dance.
Robbie the Wise repliedExactly Rinax using uncommon pokes is actually beneficial to you especially if you can come up with viable sets. As long as you're aware of the common threats an uncommon Pokemon can go toe to toe.

Robbie the Wise repliedThis is one of the sets I have had good success with. You have Waterfall as your primary STAB and Ice Punch to handle grass types(hits harder then Ice Fang). Earthquake is for coverage and Dragon Dance allows you to boost up spped and attack. Life Orb and Dragon Dance boost his power considerably but you can run leftovers if you don't want recoil. The EVs in HP allow Feraligatr to survive longer after Life Orb recoil. Invest fully in attack and the dump the rest into speed.
Robbie the Wise repliedLife Orb is a double edged sword but it can pay off in a big way. If you manage to get a DD off then you can start sweeping. It's also an item that goes well with Feraligatr's ability Torrent. As you know boosts water attacks by 1.5 after his hp hits 1/3 of his max health.
Robbie the Wise repliedRiki but the point is he wants to use Feraligatr... Also he can always us the handy ground partners to pick up the electric weakness. But team building is the next step lol we haven't reached that yet.

I think it's still annoying people still think that all Pokemon protagonists are 10. Even in R/B/G and their remakes, it's confirmed the characters aren't ten. Too bad the anime made the 10 year old thing a rule.

TheKingdomkid repliedYeah I know I'm just saying that because of the Anime it was Ash's 10th birthday and they made it into a big deal that he can finally get his Pokemon and then like 20 episodes in he's at a school for Preschoolers where they learn to have Pokemon and even have Pokemon. I know there is no age limit but I just find it hilarious

I also remember GameFreak stating that the protagonists or B/W would be older than the others, and while these ones didn't get official confirmations, every protagonist since B/W has at least looked like a teenager.
