Why did the Kingdom Hearts manga stop?

Featured Replies

Yes, Amano has ended the manga series. Why, I don't know.

Because no one liked it.

Being serious No one knows why it he, she or they stopped.

I have the first KH2 manga and I like it

The writer, Shiro Amano, just didn't want to continue it anymore, for some reason. He hasn't really given an explanation why, he just isn't continuing it anymore. Despite what maybe a few people on here will say, a lot of KH fans really loved that manga, myself included, so it really is a shame to see it end when it feels like it has so much further to go. But at the very least we'll see the conclusion of the KH2 manga, so at least half of the series was covered. Maybe one day he'll change his mind and return to it, but until then I guess we'll just have to get by without it.

He probably didn't want to do it anymore. He still had to cover like 4 games and it might have been too much for him.

And only hardcore fans read it anyway, so his publisher might have just cut him off.

I thought they finished it (or the KH2 one at least)

Yeah, it sucks that he won't make anymore Kingdom Hearts manga, because it'd have been awesome if he had adapted the whole Xehanort Saga up till this point! But hey, if he doesn't want to, then no one can force him, ya know?

maybe it was too time consuming. i mean didn't the KH2 manga just finish last year or something? can't imagine he'd want to jump on to another KH game adaption so soon.

i'm not too upset about it, honestly. we got KH, CoM and KH2 completed and that's all i'd really need.

and yea i know we got 358/2 Days too but...mehhh

I personally didn't feel much for it, so I never noticed its' discontinuation.

I figured it was cancelled or it had something to do with Tokyopop going belly up.
