Is it possible to buy swimwear for a friend as a gift (e.g. birthday gift)?

    unless of course he already has a girlfriend, they know each other for a very long time or he is gay.

    This is a really good standard in general, but it also depends on the individuals. If it feels weird buying this person a swimsuit, then it's probably weird.

    Um, so long as you have an accurate measurement of their waist size and have a good idea of their fashion sense, then yeah it's certainly not impossible.

    To put it bluntly, the girl may get some ideas and could feel uncomfortable. They make think 'Is that what he thinks my waist size is?!' or even breast size if you are buying a bikini.

    Hmm, well, I mean, it's not like you can't get your friend swimwear as a gift, but that means that this friend of yours must be someone close, otherwise, it'd be kind of awkward, unless she doesn't mind presents like that, ya know?

    I don't buy bikini for my female friend. Only one-piece swimsuit sports type. Bikini is too revealing.

     

    I buy beach shorts/board shorts for male friends.
