This is something that i think should be talked about to kinda ease the impatient KH fans and from what evidence we have so far i see KH3 releasing before FF7 Remake. Heres some reasons why i think this:

1. FF7 Remake was announced 2 years after KH3's announcement so it makes me think that FF7 wasn't that far in production as KH3 was and was most likely started in early 2014. Although i'm not sure if Nomura confirmed the development status once RE:FF7 was announced and we have to keep in mind that KH3 changed engines so i could be totally wrong with what i'm saying.

2. KH3 has less expectations than RE:FF7 which could make KH3 come out first and then RE:FF7 after that. it would be like "save the best for last" kind of situation. I'm not saying this from the Fanbases of FF and KH perspective but more from the overall Gaming industry perspective since FF7 is said to be one of the best games in gaming History from the overall gamer. (although i admit, i'm more excited for KH3 than FF7)

3. Fans have been waiting for KH3 for about 4 years now since it's announcement (not counting the wait for KH3 from 2006 to now) so it would be best (and smart) to get KH3 out first and then RE:FF7 eventually after that. FF fans have wanted a Remake of FF7 for a long time but it was never really a so called "wait" since fans had no idea of it's existence till E3 2015. the same can be said for KH3.

What do you guys think about this? Should KH3 release first or should FF7 release first?

Nobody knows what going on behind doors at square enix if it was me of who had a say in these things than yes i would choose kh3 over ff7.

 

But i also think that it would make more sense to release kh3 first since people have been waiting for so long while ff7 remake was always rumored or talked about as something that would be cool if it happend. We will have to wait and see but it seems its pretty chaotic ar sauare right now, that or the higher ups at the company who have no idea about game Design ordered all these games to be made at rhe same time

Really depends, do you mean before PART ONE of FF VII Remake, or before ALL of FF VII Remake? Because it's not being released as one gigantic game, it's being released as multiple manageable parts. For all we know, KH3 might release in between part 1 and part 2. Though personally I still think it's going to release before part 1, but who knows how long they've actually been in development?

I'm pretty sure that part one of the Final Fantasy VII remake is going to release before KH3.  It hasn't been that long since they announced it, but they seem more eager to talk about the remake in contrast to KH3.  I have a feeling that they're prioritizing the FF7R because 1) there are so many FF fans and it would be an instant money-maker, and 2) They are releasing the game in multiple parts and probably want to get fans hooked with the first installment.  In general I feel that Square tends to focus around Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts is often placed secondary.  While I know KH3 had been announced earlier, there is no telling how far in development they were with FF7R before it was announced.

 

In addition, there's less originality needed for FF7R to be released.  They already have a basic frame to work with for the game, whereas KH3 is entirely new, from scratch, with an entire plot and worlds to develop.  While there is indeed a lot of work that is going to be placed into FF7--which I'm not doubting slightly--it is probably going to be significantly less than starting an all-new game from scratch.

i totally forgot FF7 is gonna be in parts. Well i guess that means FF7 might have a chance of releasing before KH3 (part 1 anyway) but we'll have to wait and see.

It would make more sense Kingdom Hearts III releases before Re:FF7 (I like this name) but, if Re:FF7 releases in part, maybe the part 1 will be finished before KH3.

 

Final Fantasy XV has been highly disappointing as far as I'm concerned, I'm just fearing they slap FFXV's gameplay onto Re:FF7. I will be more careful for sure.

 

That makes me think... Was there any annoncement made about the price ? Like, if the Re:FF7 part will be solded at a "full game" price ? (Insert some DLC criticism, and "Freemium" economity into 60$ games.)

 

I wonder if they'll do like Hitman, I think they were solding a collector with a statue of the main character and the season pass, which was acting as the "full game". Or maybe they'll sold 3 collectors at 200€ with 3 differents statues, a three part artbook, with a Materia chainkey. That would be ridiculous. (But funny)

Honestly, if I'm just going by bias here, I say that Kingdom Hearts III will end up releasing before Final Fantasy VII Remake: Part 1, ya know? I mean, I love Final Fantasy, but I love Kingdom Hearts more, and as such, I'm more inclined to Kingdom Hearts III coming out first! 

 

But well, without any decent footage of both games to let us know how they are dealing with in development, we can't really say for certain when they will release! Hopefully, when E3 comes around, we'll get a more fleshed out look on both projects! All I know is that we should at least be shown something so we can gauge more or less on how far both games are coming along, ya know?

Before seems likely since FF7 Remake has been rather quiet in news.
