I am going to come out and tell you that this is NOT the Data World or anything involved with Data. Remember 3D comes after Recoded, but it is not a sequel to it. There's no point in continuing the events going on in the Data World. Completely irrelevant. If you mention this, I would throw an imaginary brick at you.

 

After looking at the little information and no hints of 3D in Recoded yet as people are still translating the game, I realize something. Two things that are important in 3D are starting to get me into this crazy theory.

 

1) The Sora that we see is not the Sora we are familar with

 

2) Dont be fooled by the way things look

 

With those two details, it led me to the theory of Xion and her involvement in the game.

 

Let me explain. Xion is the incomplete replica of Sora, in which contains some of (if not all) Sora's memories, that if she did not return to Sora, he would of never awaken from his one year sleep, while Namine fixes his memories that she has done damage to. When Xion is defeated by Roxas, she starts to fade away, turning into white crystals (Sora's memories), and go to Sora, where she would wait for Roxas (I believe she said that she would wait for him in 358/2 Days, if I remember correctly. Would be great if someone confirm this for me). Now, she is one with Sora.

 

So let's subsitute the details in.

 

The Sora that we see is not the Sora we are familar with. Xion is the Sora that we will see. But because she isn't the real Sora, she isn't the Sora we are familar with.

 

Dont be fooled by the way things look. We will see thhings in Xion's perspective. I also think that something is happening with Sora. I theorize that other people's memories will somehow get in Sora and mixes with Sora's memories, which messes up Xion. It doesn't affect Sora at all, but only Xion. Now Xion must fix the memories. Some memories could be changed a little (i.e. replacing Guard Armor with Twilight Thorn), and to the point of just making a memory completely different (I have no examples for this one >.<). But once the memories are fixed, she

ll soon touch upon memories like Terra's, Aqua's, Ven's, Axel/Lea's, Namine's, and probably Roxas'. This will then in turn help Sora find the ones who need healing and save them.

 

And that's it. It's pretty logical to me, even though I don't think this will happen.

To clarify, when Xion fades she says "See you again..." Hope that helps . I enjoyed reading your theory and pondered the possibilities. Everything sounds great and logical but one thing did not make sense to me: How can Xion "fix" memories when she does not have the power to do so? The only person who has the ability to tamper with memories is Namine.

I might have figured an answer to my own question. I think it is possible that Xion is able to use Namine's powers. Sora's strongest memories in Xion are of Kairi which is why Xion resembles Kairi and Kairi's nobody is Namine right? Maybe, through some weird connection to Kairi and Namine, Xion is able to use Namine's powers just like how Xion is able to use a keyblade (through connection from Sora and Roxas). Except that her powers will be considered a sham by Riku again lol. So your theory DeathSkull is one good possibility of a storyline for KH3D. Good thinking

I was having the exact same thought about this the other day but you put it all together very nicely.

 

And if I may add: The snarl of Memories (which is mainly focused on Xion) seems to have a similar vibe as to what I get in the trailer report and the scenes. There could be a lot more written about the snarl of memories (which I do not feel like doing right now ) and kh3d which would further prove a connection.

If that's the case, this would seriously be the only game in the series I would play from then on . Maybe, however, instead of saying "go inside eachother" you could change that to "go inside each other's memories." That would really keep away the yaoi fangirls.

Anyway, not a whole lot of clues were given with Riku, it may be the real Riku...it may not be. But I'm not too sure what having to go through peoples memories has to do with a Mark of Mastery Exam. Unless Sora knowing about Xion has something to do with the Reconnect theme going on. @w@;;; Ahhhh, the open ballpark on the possibilites of what could happen in KH3D is so confusing, ANYTHNG could happen! So, basically you're saying it's like how Xion somehow obtained some of Riku's memories? Xion, who for some reason, managed to absorb some of Riku's memories, allowed his memories to flow like this: Riku>Xion>Roxas>Sora. When Xion died, the memories she stole returned to Sora. The current Sora is made up of (Sora's heart) + (Sora's body and soul + Ven's heart) + Xion's memories + Riku's memories. Gotta thank goldpanner for all her hard work translating the novels ^^

...How exactly does Riku fit in with all of this again? Remember, he and Sora will both be the main characters, yet just like in Days, your scenario pretty much overwrites what was previously established and put the entire focus on Xion, which, I can't say I'm particularly fond of.

Well, it's plausible, but the links that make up the memories of Xion have long since been broken up, and they've sunk away deep into Sora's heart. For what reason would they have for suddenly resurfacing so quickly and easily? Bringing back those memories is how Sora would mend her hurting. For that to be accomplished so easily without any effort whatsoever just doesn't feel right imo.

Someone didn't read the secret reports...or pay attention to the dialogue in the game :

 

Xion is a replica of Roxas created as a failsafe in case the Organization's plans with Roxas and Sora should fail. Namine had nothing to do with it.

Sora and Riku are the main playable characters, yes. But remember that KH games have many main characters. KH 3D WILL include other people besides Riku and Sora. Xion is a possibility.

 

With the encounters, and the contacts with others, as the game's theme; you will grow with the character, with the characters in the game. But it's not Sora with whom you are familiar with this time.

 

The exact quote from Nomura. You will grow the character with other characters in the game. That spot is pretty open for anybody, including Xion.
