Are we getting too many trailers?

Are we getting too many trailers?

We seem to be getting a trailer each time a new world is announced. But by the time Kingdom Hearts 3 does come out, we would have already seen whats coming in cut scenes and gameplay because they are showing it already in trailers.

Is it just Disney wanting to promote each film that is announced as a world. So they want big trailers?

What are your thoughts on this? I've lost count how many trailers we have had for KH3

We are not getting too many trailers. Any fan of any Square Enix game is being starved compared to other game developing companies. We barely know anything about the game.

KH3 is promised to come out later this year and I bet there'll be at least 5-6 more unannounced worlds in the game. I doubt we'll get a new trailer for each those worlds. I don't even see us getting 5-6 more trailers. I foresee one at E3, one at some other summer convention and another one close to release.

Too many?? Um... it isn't too much asking... how much time have you been in the fandom? We usually get more trailers, long trailers. And they always reveal every world, characters and overall story. Comparing with KH3, we barely know anything. They show us the new worlds and gameplay elements, but we barely know anything about the story and honestly I wish they would be more open with that, I really want a story trailer.

If you feel like you don't want to get more spoiled then don't watch the trailers because I'm pretty sure after E3 we will get many more before the game comes out

I think that there is a difference between "too many trailers" and "too much information".  Many times, the two can be connected.  However, in all of the trailers that have been released so far, I still have no idea what's going to happen in the game.  Yes, we are finding out which worlds and characters will be appearing, as well as what parts of the worlds will look like and what a lot of the gameplay will be like, but that's about it.  We still have no idea how this all connects to the overarching story.  For me, the only time when I will think that we are getting too many trailers is when we start getting too much information in the trailers.  So, because of that, it is my opinion that we are not getting too many trailers, and we never will as long as they don't reveal too much information.

I don't think Disney is handling the trailers. That's all Square. Nomura said they were probably going to reveal all the worlds before the game releases so yeah...Also, the trailers don't really say a lot about the story. We've had 8 trailers so far I think, and they're mostly gameplay. They're not giving us enough to spoil the game story-wise. As of the gameplay, they always show the mechanics before the game comes out. It's totally normal.

The total hours of cutscenes in the game is probably over 3 hours. We've seen like 4 minutes, TOTAL, of cutscenes from all of the trailers. They show more of the gameplay than they show the actual cutscenes.

In my opinion we are not getting too many trailers. It's optional to watch the trailers, so if you think that it reveals too much, you don't need to watch them.

Not really. The trailers still haven't really told us what the true story of KH3 will be about xD I mean Nomura mentioned it in interviews, sure, but the story parts of the trailers so far were rather limited, which I think is good. They mostly show off the new gameplay, and they have to do that in order to properly advertise their game.

We'll probably get 13 Worlds overall most likely, Radiant Garden and The Keyblade Graveyard being amongst them, the three top Worlds that i want to see are Aladdin and the King of Thieves, Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet.

In a word:

No.

It's been five years, and we still don't know the full list of gameplay mechanics, worlds, characters, hell, we barely know what we're even going to do in the game!

Between now and Winter we'll probably get a trailer at E3, probably TGS, and very, very, maybe at PGW and Gamescom. Although the last two I seriously doubt. That's a possible four more trailers in the next 8-10 months, and considering previous remarks made by Nomura we'll probably get a world reveal per trailer. We will still be in the dark about basically everything else.

Honestly, we should know a lot more about the game at this point. It's been years since a Big Hero 6 world was confirmed and we have yet to see San Fransokyo in action.

The fandom whinges when we don't get anything and whinges when we do.

Come on people!

Given the years of radio silence and Square playing coy, I'd say that we're far more than due for a reminder as to why we want this game.
