So then, we're hot off the heels of what could be described as an epic showing of Kingdom Hearts III that happened this past weekend at D23 in Japan, and well, our heads are still reeling from all the insanity we witnessed in the trailers! With this being said, many people are wondering how many worlds will be revealed before the game releases? Since Nomura had stated he'd reveal all worlds before releasing the game, I have a theory!

 

Okay, so far, we've got these worlds confirmed for Kingdom hearts III:

• Twilight Town
• The Mysterious Tower
• The Kingdom Of Corona
• San Fransokyo
• Mt. Olympus
• Andy's Room
• Monstropolis

So this makes for a total of seven worlds! Now, let's assume that Nomura decides to ramp it up a notch and from this point forward, he decides to reveal two worlds for each new trailer that surfaces! This would be how I'd imagine it!

 

For March, since it's the anniversary of the KH series, we could see a small trailer with either gameplay footage or story bits revealing two new worlds. This could be Treasure Planet and Atlantis, or any other world Nomura has in store! That'd count up to 9 worlds!

 

For April, the Union X event will have Tetsuya Nomura being a guest, so odds are that he'd probably throw in two more world reveals, thus leading the world count up to 11!

 

Then we come to E3, where we might get the most massive and jaw dropping KHIII trailer we've ever seen, hopefully with a release month, and then we get two more world reveals, leading up the count to 13!

 

Now, if the game should come out on July, then when the game releases, the launch trailer could hold two more world reveals, therefore finalizing the world count to 15! Or if the game would come out in September or November, some slight adjustments would be made, but I believe that the overall world count could end up being 13 to 16!

 

But anyways, that's just what I think! What do you all think of this? Would there be the possibility of us getting five more trailers before the game releases? D23 surprised us with 2 trailers, so it's not out of the realm of possibility! Let me know what you think!

Sounds about right to me. but I'll tell you one thing as soon as I get a official release date I'm done.

I want to save surprises that this game has left to offer I actually don't want to know every single world were going to get till the disk is in my ps4 and i find out myself. I didn't wait years and years and years for this game to finally release and have no surprises left and or even get spoiled NOPE!

 

I want my official release date and I'm taking an axe to my router.

That's a good idea, but I think March and April is a little too early considering what we just got, and that we seem to already be looking forward to E3. I think Square will more likely release the game in the holiday season of this year for a number of reasons:

1. They can show the game at major events like Gamescom, TGS, and maybe Paris Games Week and PSX.

2. The game in total appears to be about only 60 or 70 percent done right now, based on what Nomura said and that we didn't get a seasonal or month release in the recent trailer.

3. The holiday season is the best time to sell games, and is ideal for a triple A title like Kingdom Hearts III.

 

But yeah, I can totally see one or two worlds being announced for KH3 in every trailer here on out.

Just gonna add and say I think it's safe to say that Twilight Town and Mysterious Tower will most likely count as one world as they did in KH2.

i hope it not long before the increase the the regularity we get info seeing as its due this year (we hope) we should start getting plenty of new at some point right?

Yeah I hope they give us some regular info in between the huge events. Like, I don't need some huge announcements like big character and world reveals, just small stuff so we can keep the hype between events. It kinda sucks waiting five to six months between info for a game that's coming out this year, even if it's most likely coming out the second part of the year.

 

That said, I am really impressed with the amount of info we got at D23 Japan. And it might hold me over for a least a little while. I would love it if we get something at the fan event in April, and I do think we have a decent chance of getting something even though the event is about the mobile game. And correct me if I'm wrong but is March the anniversary of the series? Now I don't want to get greedy (but heck, I'm buying the game from them), but it would be nice to get something sometime during that month as well.  :wink:

Well, I personally am under the assumption that Nomura will release it in July, particularly on the 13th. That would mean it would be released on 7/13 in North America, and 13/7 everywhere else. Nomura does tend to enjoy messing with us like that.

Lol, I can understand why you'd do that. Believe me, once the game is close to release, I'm going to avoid Kingdom Hearts III spoilers like the plague! The only safe place is this site, because at least with the spoiler tags, one knows to stay away, but everywhere else it's gonna be chaos!

 

That's a good idea, but I think March and April is a little too early considering what we just got, and that we seem to already be looking forward to E3. I think Square will more likely release the game in the holiday season of this year for a number of reasons:

You have good points! Seeing as the holiday season is always a big one for video games, it would make sense for Kingdom Hearts III to release during that time, particularly in November. The only bad thing, though, is that it would be facing heavy competition from Call Of Duty, Assassin's Creed and other major AAA franchises that make their releases in November, ya know?

 

And yes, two world reveals per trailer from here on out would be sublime!

You know, that's something I've been thinking to. Since in KHII it was originally that way, odds are it could be the same for Kingdom Hearts III. I guess we shall see soon enough!

Yes, March is the anniversary month of the series, so odds are that we might probably get at least one world reveal or two for the occasion, ya know? It's not out of the realm of possibility! And as you said, since the game may come out the second part of the year, it stands to reason we'll get more info steadily in the coming months!

No I don't know because it's Nomura and he could throw in a monkey wrench at a whim. I mean initially there were no plans for HD1.5+2.5. Then two years later, we get a trailer for HD1.5+2.5. He can change things at a whim. I am going off of what he has said initially in an interview.
