I know I’m not the only one who kinda disliked the new Utada song (at least for KH) so do you guys think there will be a remix version for the intro? Not to sound rude or pessimistic, but the song just does not go with a Kingdom Hearts opening. They’re supposed to be BOPS not make me-wanna-SOBS :(

While I'm not as big a fan of Oath as I am with the other two songs, it does grow on you after a bit. And you got to remember, Utada has always cut remixes to the themes she made for the KH games in the past. Heck, she even did a remix of a remix for 0.2 which was called Ray of Hope. So, I'm not passing judgment just yet. :P But considering that KH3 will be much darker in tone, Oath actually would fit the game overall.

"Oath" is probably the "ending credits" version of the theme. The original "Simple and Clean" isn't a "bop", it's a very lovely ballad. They'll probably use a remix for the opening like they did for "Simple and Clean", unless they want to go for a more dramatic opening. I say it's better to wait and see what they do with the opening before judging anything. It could work very well. I really like the song, especially now that I've an additional 40 seconds of it. It sounds like the song is a gradual build up towards a beautiful climax.

Here's the additional 40 seconds if you want to take a listen: http://www.utadahikaru.jp/music/album/title_16.html

I agree with thinking the song itself is going to be the ending credits song. I feel like a more upbeat version will be the opening but I don't think it will be too upbeat since this game is supposed to be the darker entry in the series.

The song sure is way different and is probable a ReMix version will be the opening sequence but if it wasn't the case I wouldn't mind, I know they will make a great intro as usual whether the song is upbeat or calm.

A upbeat Version seems most fitting Imagine you begin the game and you hear this Soundtrack in a funky remix Version and you just think to yourself "oh my! Its 2002 again" goona hit us with the nostalgia train right from the Start
