So far, we have only seen some scenes of Roxas.   I think he maybe one of Xehanort's pawns.  First

The scene where he comes in and talks to Xemnas for a brief second in Another Side, Another Story he has a yellow eye. 

We heard Xemnas and XH mention Roxas not really existing but just being data.  Sora denies that and then they summon something while contradicting themselves. 

 

Roxas was also shown in the Keyblade Graveyard and the "opening" had a dual wielding and Organization clad Roxas fight against Axel.   Maybe there is more to it. 

 

I have a theory tat perhaps Roxas might be working for Xehanort.   I am using my phone for this and my theory likely has a lot of holes.   But I will just say it.   What if Sora was able to bring back Roxas but somehow Xehanort was able to corrupt the data reborn nobody somehow like having a scientist in cahoots. Say possibly Ienzo, he was shown talking to Sora over the crown like cell phone.   But why would Ienzo want to help a random stranger who he had seen as nothing more than a test subject back at CO?  I mean he viewed Sora and Riku'a as nothing more than an experiment.   And Demyx was shown carrying off someone in white, so I presume it was Ienzo.   Perhaps Ienzo was forced or convinced into hijacking Roxas's rebirth with say a corrupted Xehanort heart. 

Roxas of course can still dual wield due to having a piece of Venus/Xion's heart in him. But Roxas doesn't show any Xehanort trait until the final confrontation in The Keyblade Graveyard in which he faces off against Lea.

Wow at this throwback. They may have just put this cg idea into canon territory

OMG I never even thought of that! Man, that really would be an awesome throwback. 

I've always thought it was just a concept that they scrapped and nothing more, just like how Roxas's hair was longer than it is now in the one secret ending. Could be wrong though. I've always wondered if it was because they originally wanted to make him older or something like that. Heck, he looks older than 15 in this screenshot here.

You're probably right. But I still think it would be a fantastic twist if Roxas turned out to be one of the seekers of darkness after all the debates about whether or not it's him or Xion.

True. Most people wouldn't expect it. Square Enix tends to put a bunch twists and turns in there. Probably would be even more unexpected if for some reason they were both Seekers of Darkness (even though I kind of doubt it). It would probably hurt Lea twice as more too. Plus, we all know how much the community simultaneously likes to see the characters suffer and yet doesn't like to see them suffer.

I'm starting to think roxas is legitimately a seeker. We have so many lights now that there wouldn't even be much room for him.

I wonder if Ienzo will side with the Seekers in the name of research.  I just wonder how legitimate my theory is about Roxas getting norted through data being used to bring him back.

Oh, geez I didn't even think about how Lea would respond! Man that would be brutal! Also, I think people simultaneously like watching characters suffer and don't like watching them suffer because on the one hand, you can't really have a story without conflict, which means someone has to suffer. But on the other hand we love the characters and don't like seeing them suffer.

Yeah and plus MX seems to be Recruiting and norting most of the ex members.  YX even mentioned how Roxas was a potential vessel but he became too "aware" of himself and went back to Sora.   The means by which Xion is back could probably explain why Roxas is at the Keyblade Graveyard. 

Well it would explain why Xemnas is trying to get Sora to open his heart. Would be interesting if a newly reborn Roxas became a Seeker.

Yeah, it might explain why in the opening why he has both Oathkeeper and Oblivion and is dressed in his Organization cloak in one of the recent trailers that had the "opening".  I don't understand why it was raining on the chess board when both Axel with his chakrams and Roxas were running towards each other.    I don't think it's a repeat of the opening re-dramatization of the Axel vs Roxas KH2 fight.  Because why would Roxas be in his cloak and not in his KH2 casual outfit?  That's one reason why I think he's a Seeker and it's after Xemnas passes him by that we see him take up arms against Axel.  Why Axel/Lea has his chakrams and not his keyblade could probably contradict my theory.

I also skimmed through some old thread from 2012 from this forum about the hooded figure with the yellow eye on the beach with Xemnas not being Roxas but YX because of the boots and the hair in the hood.

Never really thought about Roxas being a Seeker, but I can totally see that. Imagine having to fight Roxas again would be probably tougher if he is a Seeker...

Yeah, we don't know how he comes back.  Him being a Seeker might have something to do with his rebirth.  I wonder how Xeha-Roxas will play out.  I'll just give him that name because Roxasnort doesn't really play off the tongue that well and "nort" is too often used.  How will he mix his fighting style with being a vessel for MX?

Maybe Sora finally gets him out and Xehanort at the right moment turn Roxas into a Seeker? For fighting style, I can see him using teleportation, maybe dark pillars instead of light pillars and dark shockwaves? He could also bring back his Samurai Nobodies as well... but that's just what I can imagine for a fight for a Roxnort...

I can see MX using Roxas's light element to his advantage.  He isn't exactly opposed to light just wants it to be equal to the darkness.

Imagine how weird it would be if roxas was norted yet xion was a light.

That would be ironic. 

I could see Roxas going either way. Maybe he'll be both and fight himself. I think Roxas will be doing his own thing, and not want to get involved in a fight at first. I doubt he'll be a darkness but I don't see him as a full time guardian either. But who knows? Nothing is off the table.
