Hey, everyone.

So lately I've been wondering something about Kingdom Hearts III's secret ending. As we all know, the first two numbered Kingdom Hearts titles had secret endings that had CG and no dialogue, while the other games in the series had secret endings made up of the regular animation from the game, along with dialogue. In fact, we haven't had a secret ending in the style if KH and KHII since KHIIFM.

This has me wondering: will Kingdom Hearts III have a secret ending in the same style as the previous numbered titles, or will they stick to the same formula as the non-numbered titles?

i imagine itll depend on how developed their ideas for the future are id guess theyd follow their recent pattern but maybe itll just be some conceptual stuff

I certainly hope so. I have no qualms with the ones made up of regular cutscenes with dialogue and whatnot, but at the same time I'm really hoping they'll do something similar to Another Side Another Story/Deep Dive and The Gathering/Birth by Sleep. I really miss theorizing about the secret endings and discussing my ideas with other people.

Oh, definitely. I just found that it was harder to theorize with the ones including dialogue because there wasn't as much mystery in those ones.

If it's top secret that Nomura had to not put it on the disc and for it to be updated into it, there must be talking and dialogue in it. I think I prefer it that way. BBS had my favorite secret ending and got me hyped for the future more then KHII's walking armor ending did. Either way there will be theories thrown around like ocean's rage said. I'm more curious if it leads to KH4 or a tie in to KH4.

Nomura said that the epilogue and secret ending contain the biggest spoilers of the game, which I find soooooo intriguing. I imagine it does lead into KH4 (or some other future installment, like with the Gathering/Birth by Sleep leading into KHBBS), because otherwise I don't think he would consider the events that transpire in the epilogue and secret ending to be the biggest spoilers in the game.

That's what I think too. KHUX seems to be more important to the series than anyone thought it would be, which doesn't have to be a bad thing. But if they're going to pursue that route then they need to make UX more accessible, like release a console port of the main plot or something. But if it contains the biggest spoilers of the game then it must contain characters we've seen, but don't expect to see in KH3, which leads me to believe that it's connected to KHUX. If that makes sense.

The secret ending will obviously be the MoM taking off the hood to reveal it was Namine all along. Power over Sora's memories was just a small taste of what she can really do LOL.

The ending probably will tie in with KHUX. Which means I'll have to get a bit more involved in that section of the franchise. I did watch their movie with MoM, Luxu, and the Foretellers awhile ago, but other then that I haven't kept up with that side of KH. I imagine after KH3 that will change.

I played KHUX a few years ago for like two weeks, but it just wasn't able to hold my interest. I deleted the app and didn't go back to it until I saw Chirithy in the BH6 trailer (I think that was where we first saw him). After that, I decided to start playing again so I could be prepared for any KHUX connections KH3 may have.

It does certainly look like the series will become intertwined with KHUX, and I could totally see the secret ending involving the MoM and/or Luxu. They're totally going to show up at some point; it's obvious. Otherwise what's the point of introducing them and shrouding them in mystery?

When it comes to KHUX, I think I'll just watch everyone else play and get my lore from them on that half. I'm not really into mobile games. It is a mobile game isn't it?

Anyway, I main ignored it going into KH3 because I didn't think the Foretellers would be in the game, unless they were secret bosses or something. I was mainly focusing on Sora and the people that Recoded confirmed to be in KH3. The Foretellers story was interesting at least in the movie I watched. And MoM was charismatic enough for me to want to learn more about him so I'll welcome him if he's the next big boss for KH4.

Maybe it's Maleficent? Okay even I can't say that with a straight face. Of the Seekers I could see Xigbar surviving, while not being the big bad himself, I could see him possibly being his own faction and forming temporary alliances with anyone so long as it benefits him. Xigbar just seems like a character that could stick around, but never being the major focus himself.

I could certainly see Xigbar surviving Kingdom Hearts III. Braig/Xigbar has always struck me as a survivor character, one who always plans like 50 steps ahead to ensure his own survival. And I know he died in KH2, but that could have been all part of the plan. 

So I could totally see him appearing in the KHIII secret ending. I still think it's going to have KHUX connections, though. It just feels like that's where the series is headed.

Xigbar's kinda the anti-Axel. He's on his own side and his connections to others, but unlike Axel, it feels like he'll backstab them at any moment to get what he wants. Other then Kairi and Namine, Xigbar has had personal interactions with every main character in Kingdom Hearts. He's just as involved as Xehanort at this point. So I could see him being used again in the future. Even to the point of him forming a temporary truce with Sora and friends then backstab them later.

The weird thing is, Xigbar has never once backstabbed anyone, and yet the character totally has this distinct air about him. For a while there was a theory that he was going to stab Xehanort in the back in order to obtain a keyblade, but he has yet to do anything of the sort.

Now, that being said, he could certainly just be biding his time until the perfect moment. And maybe that side of him will finally show up in the secret ending.

No he hasn't, but like you said, it feels like he will. It just doesn't feel like Xigbar is on Xehanorts side. It feels like he's on his own side and it just happens to go  along with what Xehanort wants and if it doesn't benefit him anymore, he'll do his own thing. I guess KH3 will show us the real Xigbar/Braig.

“Hey, you’re not... Terra, are you?”

He’s always looking out for number one, himself. He was suspicious when Xehanort didn’t have memories after the events of BBS and asked him that loaded question above. He does what he can to ensure that HE survives, and you can bet if it was revealed that Terra was back in control he would have had the dude jailed or worse. He’s got his own agenda, even if it aligns him with Xehanort for the present and future that we know of. While it might be so he can get a Keyblade, part of me has always felt that was just part of his act rather than his actual goal. He was even surprised when Xehanort turned on him after “remembering” who he was in The Lab.

Basically it'll be sometime after the official worldwide release, so the 29th onward

The 31st is correct! For global the epilogue will be released on the 30th, and worldwide will get the Secret Movie on the 31st.
