True but I like how weak I start off in games to be honest. It adds to the progressive aspect. Now DMC does kind of ruin it because base combos in DMC games make use of everything to enhance what little you have.

Like directional buttons, pauses between button presses

Course the thing is DMC isn't also trying to be an rpg, its a flat out action game so you are made to feel powerful even from the start if you know how to play the game well and understand all the options you have

Reprisal on YX was my favourite thing to do haha

I really liked how you can go from blocking Ansem's lasers, to rolling away from a YX attack to jumping into the air and blocking Xemnas, it's a lot of fun when you get it right
