I wish khux was non canon

The novels have never be essentially declared non-canon.. ever.. and yes, he did add a scene from it.

What Im saying is that if it hasnt been integrated into the main canon(as in it isnt something brought up in the games etc.) than I dont consider it canon

So 3 would have no connection to it

You can consider some details, like Meow said about Vanitas, to be canon for yourself, but to the original source it isn't

Are you not aware of what level 2 canon is?

That's a term for media

And as you said there's no true declaration on the matter so not everything can be said as 100 percent this is the truth. It frustrates when you have people who make it sound like these details are 100 percent canon and true to the story yet that has never been mentioned at all in the games. Nomura has added some details in the past so if he decides to do it with some other things that's great. But for me its not canon unless it serves a purpose in the games.

Since there are distinct differences to manga anyway we can rule it out as it own canon

I mean.. they kinda have served a purpose..? They.. literally add context and more story, and other perspectives?

But also maintain the main story of the games?

Like how some members die

Halo novels are usually canon, I'll just add that. I dunno if it's the same as KH

No....they don't because as I said before I don't consider it canon unless its in the game

anything else is speculation imo

Or how they don't go back to worlds

yeah, what arthur said.. Manga are 100% non-canon.. the novels are a gray area, but as they do't ever really trip up anything in the main games, well..

So if Nomura would add something or in an interview (or of the likes), because its not in the game, would you still consider it canon?

He said in an interview where keyblades come from

He said MoM was the one to make them, in the image of the X-blade

and learned how to draw it out of people's hearts

That's not said in any game right now,as of now

But he sstill said it

Here is the difference, the novels aren't written by Nomura. It's someone else. When Nomura says something in an interview, it's literally coming from him. Any stuff added in the novels are by the writer. The KH2 example you used earlier? That is something Nomura liked from the novel and added in, not something he thought of. If he didn't like it, it would not be considered canon to the original source as it wouldn't be in the game.

Ehhhhh I think we are detracting from the point at hand. I guess my choice of words led you to come to this kind of questioning. I think it is better to say that the issue is that the novels aren't something Nomura directly wrote himself. I am ok with things nomura has stated in interviews because if they are important enough I imagine they get added later and he also is the one writing the games

But he essentially looks over them and works with the writer(s)..

wellll. I don't know if its because Nomura wrote the games, but Nomura is listed as an author for the novels
