Riku was always stronger.

Ansem's goodbye was one of the best scenes I have ever seen so far

in a jrpg

I mean other games like p5 had good scenes as well

but this whole scene was the conclusion of a +10 years build up

of a great character

and not always rely on his friends

my theory about this is that Xehanort actually wanted to kill Sora bc even he knows that the ff7 steam port sucks
