the story in pirates was weird because sora was actually ASLEEP for the most part obviously

I really think some of the story segments were over paced for time

I also don't get skipping to At World's End, sure KH3 is a conclusion to the Xehanort saga and all, but does that mean we have to skip to the conclusion of the PotC trilogy as well?

imo a original story would have fit better to pirates

an original story about exploring islands and finding treasures

It is rather unfortunate we skipped to 3, but I get why

it doesn't even have to be a complex story

Jack finding a treasure map and asking Sora, Donald and Goofy to help him finding it would have been enough

I think what would be cook is taking a world like Pirates and creating a full original story with a original character designed more to the Pirates side than a new KH OC

But the theme ?

Sure that's a little extra work but some worlds like that would benefit greatly from an original story and character set

I feel like they sort of dabbled in it with angelic amber

Especially since worlds like Toy Box and Monstropolis benefited from an original story lasting about as long as a film normally would

I mean the original disney stories are in general better because the designer and artists can be more creative

pirates sacrifice for love theme is more meaningful if what we think remind is is true

with the worlds

and original stories would imo also be a better selling point

Yeah but Pirates is a series that has made many great villains. Hell I know 4 was kind of a regrettable film, but 5 was pretty good

The real reason is because potc is just kino anyway

True, there's been this kinda of meme mentality that Disney worlds are "filler", and they kinda are to some extent, but I think making them original stories could help get away with that impression by making them fun original adventures in their own right.

Like One Piece and Skypiea, you know.
