But then again, isn't it safe to assume that many of those people took a look at the previous games, meaning they were going to come across the FF influence regardless?

I cannot stress how many videos or just general commentary I've seen in recent years where people are just like I need to know what I'm missing out on. Why is this franchise so often talked about? What is so charming about it?

But I don't think KH3 needed to cater to general audience, as it generated enough hype with such story focused trailers and plus it has mickey mouse on the cover so the game could totally cater to fans, and casuals would still buy it

i think most gamers nowadays can't feel how it is to grow up with characters like this. I think that's one of the main rasons
