What I'm saying is that the FF characters we have in KH are integral characters to the KH cast

Also, I need to quickly mention something, I think that putting "casual audience" and "Final Fantasy" at odds is bizarre, I don't see why getting rid of FF would be necessary to make it appeal to a wider demographic.

Any time somebody who isn't Esto, Marly, Nova or Liftea or VEXORIA mentions FF. I genuinely cry

It's not that KH needs FF. It's that the FF characters have molded into KH

Like yeah. KH doesn't need FF to stand. He has been doing that since KH2 at least. But the FF characters in KH are more KH than they are to their original FF counterparts
