The author is Subject X, a young girl who is the subject of Ansem the Wise's research. It is the same girl that Ansem Seeker of Darkness is looking and that Lea and Isa talked to.

"Four friends, a key"
These words suggest she (subject x) has four friends and a strong connection to a key (keyblade). Her final words "May your heart be your guiding key" implies she is someone from ancient times.

"He had one eye (officially translated as 'he wore an eyepatch')"
A one-eyed/eyepatched man in Ansem the Wise's castle makes one think of Braig (somebody of Xigbar). He lost his eye during BBS, around the same time Lea and Isa were sneaking into the castle.
