he tells sora "forget about using drive forms, youve gotta learn it the RIGHT way"

Sora loses his powers but he gains more powerful ones

I wouldnt be suprised come kh4 where sora's new power is that he can throw planets at people

I think the big issue is the idea of power scaling

Sora isnt portrayed as a mary sue in KH2 because the scaling of challenges escalate throughout the game

in KH3 you fight 3 titans in the first level and win, what could possibly stop him after that?

Not to mention that sora has been killed three times and manages to come back.

And i highly doubt " friendship is power! " is able to reverse death

Sora rewrote time with the power of friendship

Not to mention he threw hands with the heartless version of the grim reaper several times over

still find it dumb that xehanort ignores them for like 5 minutes and only turns around to realise hes been impaled

Think about it. Xehanort has been around for decades. Possibly even centuries. he knows the keyblae backwards and forwards
