I think they literally just summon the same Keyblade simultaneously and it works because bs heart magic.

So this is something I read elsewhere but I am using it as headcanon in the meanwhile

heres a fun one why can Roxas dual weild in kh3

because it's cool

Moment you use a keyblade it sticks with you no matter how many hearts you have. You have two hearts you can summon two keyblades but it sticks with you even if you lose one. So Roxas going from 2 hearts to 1 means he can still have the ability to dual wield, same goes for Sora.
