I was kind of thinking something towards the way bleach does it but I've only seen like a dozen or so episodes of that show

In KH1, it seemed especially blatant that the Keyblade was sentient

It had definitely implications that it would pick its owner and stuff

Watching the Harry Potter movies years later it sounds exactly how their wands work

But Keyblade lore has been endlessly filled with constipation results as the series has gone on

It’s one of the most blatant, if not the most blatant cases of lore change

They definitely did change the way they were now it's like an inheritance type of thing

I think they still kind of throw in the fact that it has to choose you but that's pretty much been ignored

Now being a Keyblade wielder is the least impressive thing in the universe

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and the more I do, the more I feel Kairi should have gotten her own unique weapon. Wielding a Keyblade adds nothing good for her or the series as a whole.

The reason Kairi can even wield one is utterly comical

I would say Lea is on a higher level than her with that

At least Lea worked to get a Keyblade. He didn’t work very hard, but he did work for it

keyblades are still unique

in that soras is the keyblade of the realm of light

and the union x ones are basically an army of bargain bin keyblade wielders who basically got made up keyblades

because their keyblades canonically use medals to make them stronger

while a real keyblade doesnt need that

Union X is what damaged the Keyblade lore the most in my eyes

Because now there really is nothing impressive about them

i mean there is because the keyblades in the keyblade war are basically fake keyblades

with armies that were literally thrown together to gather light

Is the Keyblades being fake Keyblades a good lore change?

Kinda makes the Keyblade Graveyard aesthetic less impactful

ux is super dumb ngl

I skip useless cutscenes in khux, and since there is a theater in kh3 I skipped all but Fake Keyblade Graveyards
