I personally feel like 3 also flirts with that line in the disney worlds a bit but in the OG stuff, it's fine

I would say his problem isn't really lack of knowledge but lack of intelligence. Sora really isn't ignorant; he just has difficulty putting two and two together. Like a lot. Took him much longer than the others to figure out Mulan was female, for example.

I could see that

I meant more so the line of lack of common sense but I could be misremembering some of the worlds

I could see that as well

Like I said, 3 isn't nearly as bad as 3D but there are some elements of lack of common sense in there. But also quite a few more mature moments

that's true

maybe the boy should have gone to school

we know for a fact Kairi and Selphie did

send Sora back home! He's missing his studies!!!

Kairi went back to school as if nothing happened

Some kids go on holidays at the beach or skiing, her? She got kidnapped, had her heart in her friend's

Normal life

To be fair to Kairi, after going through all that shit, I'd be craving a normal life as well.

True

I actually love doing that :c

Like in Ratchet & Clank, why do they go through an entire zone to reach their goal when they could just climb the wall behind their ship and get there

Like, let me remind that almost everyone got roped into Xehanort's scheme against their will. Normality is a valuable commodity in the KH universe.

What do Kairi say to Sora's mom when she sees her?

Like, hi, it's my fault your kid's lost, how're you?

why walk around a bush when you can cut it

I love video games logic

Even Roxas. Like, god Ansem! Just let the kid have a childhood! Let him go to the beach! Is that so much to ask???

Ansem is a video game developer, but Roxas isn't a real player as he didn't try to glitch the game to reach whatever was made of the beach

Gotta think two steps ahead of the dev

I don't usually mind Sora's fluctuating intelligence, but it bothers me in KH3, just how often the audience is reminded of it. I assume we all remember Sora getting confused by Pence's tech knowledge, which is fine. But we also have the previously optional scene with Namine, where she also has to simplify what she's saying, because she's blatantly aware Sora's not keeping up

I don't take any issue with Sora acting naive, in fact I defend it in DDD more often than not. I just wish it wasn't used as such a blatant wink to the camera

I haven't thought about it like that but I could see what you mean

I agree. It's about as subtle as a bulldozer.

It's cool to have a "slow" main character, I mean a talking one

And while we're on the subject, I will say here and now that DDD Sora is smarter than every single person in the KH fanbase, including myself

Because he managed to follow along with the plot, without consulting the KH Wiki

I mean yeah
