Learning latin is useful for if you want to learn other latin rooted languages

yes it's VERY useful with french. for me at least

learning it also shows you the absolute complexity and nonsense of english. i mean, of engrish

well anyway, back to what i was saying, i hope one day i'll be able to watch the jp version of a KH game. : ) 

if your native language is latin rooted, then you should already be able to understand at least 50% of those languages

some are more similar than others
for example spanish and portuguese are incredibly similar

Italian also shares many similarities as spanish
