Why are people so adamant on comparing KH3 to DMC5?

I guess DMC5 is the action game they wanted from KH3

They are both the new "hot" thing currently

I just saw a reply to Dean which essentially said that DMC5 is the worst game ever and KH3 is the best ever

I still prefer KH3 gameplay wise lol

But I wouldn't compare

They're not alike

Even if they're both action games

Not alike

It gonna expose the dude but lol

I can see why the repetitiviness can be bad with the DMC games because of the mission based structure, but other than that don't really agree with this person

And someone with a KH based twitter account (profile pic, @ whatever) replies and said “I can’t believe people think DMC is better than KH”

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed KH3, but it’s pretty easy to say that DMC5 is a better game than KH3

It's cos they're both action hack and slash games

The gameplay of both has been compared in the past before, I don't see the big issue in that respect

Because whether people will admit to it or not, KH game play is very simple

Most of the time it’s spam attack with some magic in between

But when the game pushes you to make use of all your options it's action gameplay at some of its best

I don't really understand the comparison with KH and DMC. They are both hack and slash sure but KH is built off of Jrpg elements while DMC is a pure action game. The way each game works mechanically is quite different from each other. DMC would be more akin to Ninja Gaiden if anything.

Now that the "Dante" chapter is done I hope Capcom tries with the next game to tell a story that is actually good. DMC 5 is the first step to a game that could be insanely good

I would even say the cdi zelda games have a better story

it just makes it worser
