Probably the weakest in any Ys game

I mean given the entire game takes place in a tower

The setting is the game's weakest suit

This was actually made as a buffer game while Ys Seven was in development

So they cut some corners for Origin

And especially as it had a very limited physical release you said apparently

Yeah it was only digital for a long ass time

And its physical release was limitedrun style

I really miss this style of Ys though I don't mind the party system the modern ones have

The older ones like Origin, Napishtim and Felghana are far more difficult than the newer ones

Newer ones feel more like beat em ups

Modern ones at least have more story

I don't mind the new style but this one is probably my favorite

I also feel a bit more inclined to learn them more because the newer ones are very spam heavy with skills

you could easily probably incorporate a party system with this style as well
